Hey Sharky! Love the video, interestingly enough just the other day I was looking for a “perfect seed.” So, I’d love to see more of these types of videos. I’ll break down my thoughts on your selection here. This is based on a min/max thought towards the “perfect seed”. -it’s a great seed for the day 1 ancient seed, and early forage. As the ancient seed supplies a day 1 artifact for the 250 gold reward. - the amount of early artifacts isn’t necessarily super important due to the other methods of obtaining artifacts early on (fishing), and then in general not doing too much for money and progression - ideally more rain days early on, the amount of money you can snowball with catfishing early on is unmatched. For example, I was able to be catching catfish with catfish bait on day 5, due to rain on day 3 and 5. That’s a lot of money I can carry onto the next goals. - Rain days in general are a big focus (Stardew predictor) can give you an idea on how many rainy days you should get. I usually feel like I need 8-10 for it to go well enough. Early rain is better than late rain, due to skull cavern potential after the 15th of spring (ideally going to the desert festival) and ideally one of the rain days isn’t on one of these days. 15-17. -Don’t know if this is seed specific, but getting a sea urchin on the right side of the beach during the first week of a save is really big, as once you hit fishing 6 you need one to make the bait maker. -what you find from trash and is partly luck based, but some of those were good finds and would be nice on a save. -trash can hat (super cool, especially the double) but not necessary for a super progression. -Stuff in the traveling cart is good to still add, as it can make a save easier. So that was nice to include, and I wanted to add that the nautilus shell (shown on one of the days) is a good pickup as unless Demetrius sends it to you in the mail, you need to wait until winter to grab it off the beach. Thus, a slower CC finish. -The night events aren’t usually super beneficial. Crop fairy is definitely the biggest, and works if it fits a timeline early on. Generally best to be within the first week or so definitely first 2 weeks. (Ideally when it would be all your crops the grow due to the crop fairy) Please let me know any comments on my thoughts. Would love more opinions on what makes a good seed (specifically for min/maxing). I understand this seed is just an overall good and well rounded seed. And really enjoyed the video! Pro tip: The crop the fairy targets is also determined by the seed, so once you know the spot she targets, you can plan your crop layout accordingly. So use that top row and make sure the ancient fruit is within range.
BTW, you mentioned not to change settings since that messes with the seed, but it's more complicated than that. I used this seed with a heavily modded game (Expanded, Ridgeside, & East Scarp, Cornucopia, etc.) plus with "Guarantee Year 1 Completion" and while some things don't happen, some do. Most importantly, the Day 11 & 14 Crop Fairies DID HAPPEN. Trash can finds were different, though. Worth noting that some random effects like rainy days are using step count as an additional calculator. So if you're trying to test seeds through multiple play-throughs, your pathing will matter. Speedrunners use a step counting mod to manipulate events. I believe the specific locations you till for farming also matter. I'm not into that scene, but I recall seeing a video about it once.
Since 1.6 rainy and sunny days are seed specific. I’m not certain, certain that it’s purely seed specific. But I know that you can predict the rainy days of a seed now, where in the past that wasn’t possible. (Using Stardew Predictor)
Lol. I found this world seed in a reddit comment last night mentioning the day 1 ancient seed, but I didn't know there were so many more goodies to get during my first stpring. ETA it probably is random but I got 2 more artifacts and 3 diamonds fishing on day 3 on this seed.
716615 seed on ps5 is awesome because everything but the large white egg and small white egg are sold by the traveling merchant. The hardest is geting 2650 the first friday for the rabbit foot. It sells the actual red cabbage in summer and winter sells the seeds but it in fall so u will need the green house. The fairy comes day 4 of summer. The truffle is sold twice too once in fall and once in winter.
In my opinion the best seeds are those that give you fish taco in gus can and a geode in museum/clint can that contains 20 copper so you can smelt day 2 while fishing and upgrade pickaxe on day 2 And day 2 bubbles in the beach/lake
I found a pretty crazy seed as well (classic bundles, guaranteed 1st year completable, mixed mine rewards as settings) consisting of all 9s (999999999999999)--no this is not a joke, please try it. Doesn't matter which pet you pick. Nautilus shell, red cabbage seed, snow yam and crocus all sold by the cart (as well as duck feather, large goat milk and large egg and a pumpkin slightly earlier than it would've been available if you had planted it Fall 1st, just so you can finish the greenhouse a wee bit faster). A TON of clams on the beach on day 1 (as well as dried starfish), lots of forageables in forest, leeks in mountain. A fishing bubble on the beach on day 2 (just race to the beach right away after watering your parsnips and reading Willy's letter--you'll find it right there in front of you). 2 early rain days aside from the guaranteed one on the 3rd before the egg festival, rain again on the 14th (perfect to put your strawberries in today) and 16th, as well as later. I went to the desert festival in year 1 and because I put my strawberries in on the 14th, did not need to water at all during the festival. Lots of storm days in the summer as well. There is an early sturgeon in the traveling cart, so you can finish the lake fish bundle instead of the crab pot bundle to access the vault (spring forage, spring crops, blacksmith and lake fish should do it) I set my PB of 93 million in 2 years on this seed. I had farming 10 by the end of spring, mastery cave accessed by early Fall, and a ton of batteries to be turned into crystallariums or iridium sprinklers from all those lightning rods. The only thing I could've wished for more were garlic seeds in year 1 traveling cart for the gourmet frog.
I believe the world seeds work the same for pc and playstation and Xbox. switch is different i think Also the back woods carrots on day 9 are guaranteed no matter which seed.
Hi I was just wondering , I have got the ancient seed on spring year 1. Do we plant it before the greenhouse is up?. I sm afraid crows or thunder is going to ruin it for me. And if I get it late in spring when do i plant it?
I would love a new save file with this seed, unfortunately I am a console player… it’s alright, I am used to it; Minecraft is the same thing for bedrock v Java. Good work refining all of the kinks though 👍🏻
Congratulations on such a great seed find. Is there any way to discover what seed number is in a current save game when you just let the game randomly choose? I'm also curious if the seed works the same way if we start with a different farm. Guess I could test that out. Oh and yes, would enjoy seeing more of these kind of videos, thank you.
@@Bonfree24 Tested them: For all the other farms, I noticed that the forage on the way out the top to Robin's place is identical though I didn't find those handy carrot seeds. I found the ancient seed by Robin's for Forest, Wilderness and Meadowland on the first test but not Riverland, Hilltop, Four Corners or Beach. I restarted the Riverland and Hilltop farms twice but only once for Four Corners and Beach. Maybe it would be third time lucky?
Does anyone know of any good seeds for PS5? really just looking for a solid day 1 seed where you get lots of forage and artifacts. and on day 2 good bubbles at the Sea. Please help. :)
i use a seed, that is my own birthday. It's not much, but it has 11 raining days spring one plus 3 consecutive bubble spots at beach starting from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm with another late night at mountain, with some luck and skill i can get lvl 4 fishing day 2 and make my pickaxe upgrade going in the same day

By the way, the first geode you open can either give you 10 coal or 10 iron (unless you open an magma or omni geode first but thats not realistic)

I've gotten 3 fairies so far in the first 2 seasons on my seed. Not sure if that's extremely rare or not but I sure enjoyed it.

Your game save file is FarmName_SeedNumber so if you can find your save file, that'll give you the seed number. 😊

Day 3 Marnie has a quest for a Catfish 600G If you're catfishing anyway pick up the quest. Also gets you a Star towards the Prize Tickets
