23:09 Quick note about this moment that was HILARIOUS: on Shen’s POV, a literal fireball from one of the ghasts just shot out of the nether portal and almost hit the base. It was wild.

THE BUCKET IS RE-ATTAINABLE. zombies can drop iron (rarely), so it'd be a pain, but a small price to pay for bucket. (I'm kinda assuming they already know this, but just in case)

This Minecraft Skyblock video _really_ takes me back to the first Minecraft video on this channel which was almost 6 years ago during the early days of variety content and it couldn’t come back in any better way with Shenpai explaining the concepts of Yaoi to RT.
Also, Shenpai’s laugh is probably one of my favourite laughs I’ve heard. It’s angelic enough to heal any soul!

Y’know… this world is technically still salvageable.
- Build a mob farm in the Nether to spawn piglins for gold
- Farm trees until apples drop from the leaves and craft a golden apple
- Wait for a second zombie villager and a witch to spawn
- Manipulate the witch to throw a weakness potion (they throw specific potions under certain circumstances, but I don’t remember exactly, so you’ll have to look that up) and use the golden apples to cure the villagers
- Use the villagers to make a villager breeder
- Use the breeder to make an iron golem farm
- Unlimited iron
finish the mob farm and just delete the water with blocks
kill mobs until they get 3 iron from zombies
new bucket
Once they hsve enough emeralds. They can buy corse dirt from the trader

the start of this is hilarious, shen is focusing on one of the most important early game systems while dan is already planning on replacing all the dirt to maximize of dirt space for growing. they both are doing important things they need to do but are just refusing to wait one second before trying to do their plan or explaining anything. a perfect duo
She definitely has undiagnosed adhd and RT got called out for potentially having it as well by Brian in the Ireland Make A Wish stream. Honestly, it would make sense considering his hyperfixation in certain games and tendency to hop around games a lot

Shen practically only sees what's in front of her whilst Dan sees so far ahead that he's practically blind to the immediate consequences. Only instances I know where a game designer notes this is Portal. One of the dev commentary in the games mentioned than playtester would never look up despite being prompted to. This is why most first person shooters game are not usually designed with maps with tall buildings unless you can easily traverse and stay on them equivalent to your horizontal view. People theorise it as being something to do with your monitors usually being wide, not tall, giving you easier capability to look left and right rather than up and down.

This is by far the most stressful Skyblock I’ve ever seen and I’m here for it
You can get buckets from wandering traders or from zombies dropping iron ingots / iron tools/weapons and then smelting them for iron nuggets. Not ideal, but you have your farm set up.
Getting emeralds will be difficult, but you have a zombie villager. If you cure it you can easily get emeralds. You could also make it into either an armorsmith or a weaponsmith or toolsmith and then smelt the armor/tools/weapons they trade for iron nuggets then turn those into a bucket.
Would absolutely love to see more crossovers with Shen in the future. Been watching both of you for years now. Ever consider doing an adventure map together or something?
