    I didn’t mind giving up two years of Michael King for one year of Juan Soto. But giving up five years of Luis Gil for one year of Kyle Tucker seems a bit too steep.

    I’m not making that trade if he doesn’t resign with the yanks. Not getting burnt again like Soto situation. Might as well bid for him in FA.

      what are you trading? a couple players you don't even know how they're going to turn out and then in a couple years you'll be saying you shoudda made that trade....pfffft that's the problem with the trashman Yankees....never pull the trigger on proven talent, only washed up or over the hill players that can't run

    If you're the Yankees, don't do it. Tucker has to re-sign, or stay in Houston.

    In terms of a long term contract for crochet, I’d let him pitch this year at least before I sign him to a deal. I think the Red Sox would be smart to wait at least a year to see how he performs and how often he’s on the field before locking him up for awhile

  • @johnd3233

    Kay saying that the Yankees would have a great defensive outfield with Dominguez in center is so laughable and it's the kind of homerism that makes people not respect him.

    • @SUSPECTS1000
      @SUSPECTS1000 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What’s wrong with him saying that Dominguez is a natural centerfielder and good at the position . He has tools like Soto . You have to give him 600 at bats and remember he’s 21 he will be a star. He’s been the chosen one since age 16z That Verlander at bat 2 years ago , I’ll never forget . Good eye and on point against a Brand name hall of fame pitcher . JD is the future and he steals bases . Not sure what he said wrong . Healthy Dominguez is ready . Not left field where he doesn’t know , but center . His natural position and put judge back in right his gold glove natural position.

    • @johnd3233
      @johnd3233 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @SUSPECTS1000 Dominguez had 15 errors in center field in the minors in a little less than 2000 innings, which is not good at all. His scouting report as a minor leaguer even mentioned his below average defensive skills in center and that he would likely end up being a corner outfielder. His defensive troubles in the majors have been glaringly obvious, and if he was great defensively in the center, he would have no problem in left, so the position change is no excuse. The Yankees defense in the outfield will not be great with this guy in center field.

      @SUSPECTS1000 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Positive energy y’all, let’s go Yankees . Players get better with hard work . We got this . Are we Yankees fans or not . Are we just going to complain about everything or do we want our team to be better. We all have to punch in tomorrow 😂so let the professionals do what they do . God bless us all.

    • @johnd3233
      @johnd3233 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @SUSPECTS1000 Na sorry I don't need to lie to myself to be positive about my team. In fact being honest about the Yankees and openly criticizing them when they deserve it is part of what makes the Yankee fan base what we are. Not going to change that and start denying reality just so you can feel all warm and fuzzy inside. This isn't a college class, bud.

Dominguez I would need an extension... at the end of the day Gil is older, had injury history, led league in walks, we are in win now mode, Stanton, Cole & Judge aren't getting younger - gotta go for Tucker... also if we DON'T trade for Tucker, what if Baltimore or Boston does?

    If he signs long term up front yes……if not I pivot to Bregman who will cost 200m for 6 or 7 years. Not as good as Tucker but fills a need at 3B w gold glove like play and he can hit 280 w 25-30 homers.

  • @analysis1957

    Soto got a 75 million dollar bonus from the Mets. Cohen and his firm are financial geniuses, they could take that 75 million and multiply several times over a few years for Soto making the total comp over a billion dollars. I could definitely see that angle played by the Mets and Cohen. There ability to make more money for a client is unmatched by anyone.

    Why shouldn't the yankees have to bend the knee? They haven't won a world series in 14 years and the closest they have come came with Soto in the squad. This idea that they are in anyway an exceptional franchise nowadays is nonsense. They can't pay the most, they don't win the most, they don't have the biggest star in the game and they don't have any rings this decade or last so far.

    If you are a Yankees fan and are mad we didn’t give Soto 800 million plus like the Mets ? Then get over it . We didn’t need that salary and player for those years and that amount . Since was Soto even remotely close to Mike trout that he’s generational ? This generational crap is from Washington . The guy struggled almost a season in San Diego and only hit 40 homers this past season for the 1 st time in his career . His 9th season . Let’s put generational in perspective . Judge has seasons of 52,62,58 under his belt - and Soto just topped 40? Let’s not talk his shitty defense , his BS arm and lack of speed . Dude is one dimensional

    • @robertbogert8257
      @robertbogert8257 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I don’t think they will go in on Tucker. I can see Bellinger at this point. He’s signed thru 2026 whereas Tucker is a FA. Also u don’t see them signing Christian Walker either. Reason being they already gave up a 2nd and 5th to sign Fried. They would have to give up two more picks to sign Walker and they aren’t giving up 4 of first 6 picks in draft. Bergman won’t happen either for same reason. Rest of the moves will have to come from trades or international signing. Also Cortes was good when he first came up with his gimmick hesitations and motions. The hitters adjusted after a year and now he’s an average to below pitcher at best. He can’t locate very well so he’s going to get rocked as a starter. He’ll have to go to the pen as a lefty specialist

    • @mr.perksy
      @mr.perksy หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes Bellinger seems more likely if they take on the salary. He does have an opt out after 25 so it could also be one year. If Bellinger is CF then still need a 1B, 2B or 3B, unless they just go kids. Or maybe the Korean guy Kim that just got posted. I also like Profar as he has versatility.
