Nice
Yes, I Kyle Tucker had to remind yall.
Now the Bears fans get to watch some simpler times. Salt in the wound, more or less.
I wondered what that was about. S'all good.
@@CharlesUrban what was it
Devin Hester always will be the greatest returner in NFL History!!
They changed the rules cuz if him. All the big guys do is ruin all the excitement
Dante hall was better
@@spitonitpawpaw7049 cap
@Band Boy 50/50 yo patterson is a better KR, hester is the best Returner in general. Id say patterson is the KR goat, Deion is the PR goat but overall returner id take hester
@@henrycavillsrealmustache3553 man you’re crazy even Deon admitted Hester was the greatest. You guys must not remember teams deliberately kicking the ball out of bounds because the Bears offense was so helpless. Hester would have probably finished with at least 5 or 6 more td punt returns if they kicked to him. That man was the most dangerous returner in NFL history!!!
"Devin Hester, you are ridiculous!!" Words that will never be forgotten...
Crazy how devin hesters career developed... you see him playing corner in this game and than a few years later he’s playing wide receiver
While still being 23 😂

Honestly. But he probably will be eventually

I still say he became a star in that epic Monday Night comeback against the Cardinals where he took that punt return back for a go ahead TD
And of course as Dennis Green said it best afterwards...”THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE!!!”
That was my favorite game I have ever been too!
@@timreilly8615one of the best MNF games ever. Lucky man.
Hester literally changed the game. People stopped kicking to him. The Bears won field position for six years.
GOD'S MORNING, GOD'S GIFT 🎁HE HAD WITH OUR CHICAGO BEARS 🐻 ,THANK YOU FOR THRILLS !!!
I remember kickers would get fired for kicking to him. For a time the best way to beat the bears was to keep their offense on the field. You didn't want to see that defense, they'd score on you. You sure didn't wanna kick it to Hester.
They changed the rules because of him.
Just think, if only they had an elite franchise QB….they coulda gone on to win MULTIPLE rings with that crazy AF defense and Hester smh 😢
He played 8 years for them
Chicago might be the most fascinating NFL franchise. They've put together some really exciting teams with crappy quarterbacks for decades now.
I'll never forget Devin Hester, that's for sure.
There defense and special teams carried Rex Grossman to a Superbowl.
@@nickfizer401 Exact same way they did in 1985 except they won.
@@nickfizer401 grossman was like a 2006 version of Daniel Jones lol. It’s a shame
They had a great year that season, it’s a shame they never beat out the colts in the superbowl. My dad was an OG paper bag saints fan since day 1, he was absolutely devastated when they lost the NFC Championship to the bears lol….glad he finally saw them win a ring a couple years later…and bears still never found them a franchise QB since then lol….
It's tough being a Bears fan. It seems to get harder as the years go by! Bear down!
For me, the night he became a star was earlier that season, also on Monday Night Football, in that iconic game against the Cardinals. They are who we thought they were
And we let them off the hook, you wanna crown em go ahead n crown em

Is it just me or did production of games used to be better? Not better quality but like these are some lit camera angles
Monday Night Football used to be on another level now I feel like it feels no different than a noon Sunday game.
Sunday Night Football still feels like it’s a step above the rest in terms of production but MNF doesn’t feel special anymore to me.
It’s just the nostalgia
Not just you man, I was fixing to comment the exact thing.
Yessssss
The NFL gives a lot of airtime to the floating eye in the sky video game camera, so those other cameras aren't shown as much. In this entire video I only noticed one eye in the sky shot.
Devin return time 5:23 & 14:15 thank me with a ps5.

Thomas Jones was a beast! They got rid of the wrong running back in 07.
Being a lifetime Bears fan, this brings back great memories. Loved that team. Hester belongs in the Hall of Fame, he was special.
2006 was the last time my bears went to the super bowl!!
That was such a good year to be a Bears fan. Wish they closed the deal, but damn that was something special.
first play of that SB is like 9/11. I will never forget that moment. All I could think was "please let that be the only one"
Colts fan BTW
I remember the HYPE! This happened with Dante Hall too!
Except Hester had the longevity that hall didn't, Hester is widely regarded as the greatest kick returner in NFL history with the tds n yards to prove it
Dante Hall couldn’t hold Hester’s jock strap when it comes to returning. We will never see another player like that man!!
@@johnbush5347 I’m sure Hester studied from Hall though. No question about that!

Everyone thought that Chicago waist a draft pick on devin Hester but they were wrong after the season
I remember my dad explaining to me why everybody just tried to kick touchbacks against him. Because the prospect of what that man could do to you was that damn scary...
I like how on this old ESPN MNF scoreboard how the numbers turned when a TD was scored and I wish Mike Tirico was back on Monday Night Football.
Damn they dont have the sideline voices anymore mid game lol. Holt was talking shit lmaoo
The real ones know it’s a re-upload
The game against Arizona on that Monday night, he became a star. This game, the Super Bowl against Indianapolis, & that 2 Punt Return game against Denver a year or so later, solidified him as the greatest return man in NFL History
I had the chance to assist on a video shoot with DH in 2007 in the off season at a shopping mall, very few people were there. We setup video camera, lights, mic and waited for him. He showed up a few minutes later by himself in jeans, t-shirt and sweat jacket. He blended in with everyone else around him. Very low-key quiet guy with a warm smile and a kind demeanor. The interviewer ask a few questions, he shyly answered the questions, signed a few autographs, shook a few hands and took a few pictures with fans. When the event was over he wandered back out the way he came in and gone.
Steven Jackson most underrated RB, he was Mr do it all for a bad team. Deserve to be in the hall of fame.
Loved the way he played
He still be going back to his old highschool in Vegas and runs the track
He was an absolute monster
Announcer: Adrian Peterson is in the back field

Yup real glad they clarified n said not that Adrian Peterson

@@jennyanydots2389 I'd like to see you put the pads & uniform on & try & tackle either adrian peterson.
Last year Marc Bulger was a decent QB. Also the last year Bruce and Holt put up 1000+ together. The door slammed shut on any remnants of the GSOT after 2006.
Martz wasn't great but he usually had them in games. Linehan was the beginning of the end :(
Kroenke became majority owner soon after and essentially just tanked the team until he could make the move to LA.
Great run by the original Adrian Peterson in this game 😂
No one talking about how on point Rex Grossman was in this game
He was great….in this game anyways, surprisingly 😂 It’s a shame the bears never won a ring with that defense and with playmakers like Devin Hester….just unbelievable 🤦🏼♂️
He had several really good games that year, it’s a shame everyone wants to act like he was Bobby Douglas 2.0 instead of admitting that he had talent, but no coaching or help offensively.
NFL was so lit these days puts a smile to my face
He was so amazing to watch live. 100% could not miss a kick off, field goal, anything when he was playing
It was nuts how many great players on this Bears defense there was. Urlacher, Briggs, Alex Brown, Mike brown, Nathan Vasher, Chris Harris, Ogunleye, Tillman. They also had Tommy Harris, Tank Johnson and Mark Anderson. Insane.
To bad that team was wasted on Rex Grossman (2006 version of Daniel Jones).
Holy crap I have wanted an HD version of this game for years!!! I bought the Hester jersey the day after this game. Thank You!!
Love watching these bring back good memories
@Omar a.18 for real I end up remembering things I forgot lmao
Who remembers when Devin Hester had 100 speed in Madden?
I love you nfl Throwbacks keep on doing what you're doing and please stay safe
I remember this game really well.
A friend of mine was down 75 points heading into MNF against my brother in fantasy football.
He had Bulger, Jackson, and Holt. He scored more than enough points to win the game.
The problem?
My brother had Hester as an IDP.
And if I recall correctly, a playoff spot was on the line.
What. A. Game.
Wow.
Not only did he have great instincts and skills on the field but he was like a muscle car among VWs his speed was unreal.
I was at that game, it was crazy. Hester was on fire. The Bears fans were louder than the Rams fans.
For sure they were, I witnessed 3 fights that night.
I like Tony Kornheiser but whose bright idea was it to have him in the MNF booth?
Worse than dennis Miller
Same person who told you that profile picture was a good idea
Put a shirt on hardo
Nobody will make punts as fun to watch as hester did. He is the GOAT returner. Absolutely deserves to be in the hall of fame. No debate.
Im a Hurricanes fan and I had a friend in High school who said Devin Hester was gonna be a beast as a pro. Haven't seen him since we graduated, but he was right lol.
6:08 Bulger was like “who the hell is hester” 😂 I’m sure he knew after the game!
Loved this Bears team so much! What a season.
Y’all spelled night the right way this time
Been off my game tonight
I honestly did not know the record was that low at that time. I remember Donte Hall scoring a lot of touchdowns at one point and thought it was more than 5. But Hester was a beast and the best ever
By a mile best return man of all time, so glad to have seen him live. Literally the last of his kind
Watching this game as a child is a core memory! Never saw anything like it you just couldn’t stop Hester
This is ALSO the night that Devin Hester became a WR because Torry Holt destroyed him at Corner😂😂😂
Haha you're right. I miss the greatest show on turf. No team has ever been more fun to watch
@Lamar Ware right? lol
Being a bears fan was so great back then. Great D forced punts and those punts went to the 🐐 returner.
Steven Jackson is my favorite Ram of all time. So underrated.
Better than trung candidate
Holy was also underated
@@artpalombo4126 holy holt lol
Meant Holt hate when phones change the spelling on you.
That D gotta already know about how good Hester was at returns. They had a LOT of opportunities on the field. Huge credit to the defense that knew this gem was gonna put them back on the field quickly.
Loved me some Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce
My son and I (Die hard Bears 🐻 fans) were there for this game. He was only 10 years old and we traveled from Tulsa. One rams fan behind us gave us a little too much smack talk before the game.
I raised my leg, pretended to fart in My hand, raised it my closed hand up between us, and opened my hand blew him a kiss.
He laughed, and offered a $20 bet on the game. I took the bet and he was nice until he left early in the 4th quarter. He did pay my son the $20 before he bounced out.
Devin Hester was a star when he was at the ''U''....At that time he was one one of the most dangerous players in all of college football as a punt returner and receiver. All you had to do was get him the ball in open space and it was OVER....CLASS DISMISSED
Devin Hester touchdowns are perfect for the old "Yakety Sax" music. I miss him.
Man I still wish my Chargers hadn’t choked in the playoffs that year! It would’ve been interesting to see that strongly anticipated SD 🆚 Chicago matchup in the Super Bowl.
Hester and LT would’ve been the 2 highlighted players for that matchup, as they were both having MVP caliber seasons in 2006.
As a packers fan even I was pulling hard for those chargers like Marcus mcneil from Auburn might of had the best rookie season for offensive lineman ever eith kris dielhman and hardwicke and that backfield and defense ecspecially under wade Phillips not Ted cottrell lmao
Angel Ramirez. It would've been nice to see the BEARS & L.A. CHARGERS go at it in 1963! NFL CHAMPIONS vs AFL CHAMPIONS!
This was the peak for football fans living in southern Illinois. I’ll always be a bears fan but I sure miss seeing football games in St. Louis.
"Devin Hester, you are RIDICULOUS!"
Him and dante hall are co goats
6:08 Bulger didn’t know who Hester was lmao I’m sure he remembered after that game
Incredible
I remember this game clearly. I worked a 2nd shift job at the time and called off work just so I could stay home and watch this game....lol.
I was at this game (Bears fan). Such a great night!
He was so amazing

"Jackson saw Urlacher" 😂😂😂 that has been in my head since 2006.
I was at this game. It was truly awesome to watch Hester. Even in the 4th when the game wasn't close it was incredible to watch him return for td. The Rams lost Lenard Little in the 2nd quarter I think and their defense never recovered from his absence. Great game to watch. There were more Bears fans than Rams fans at the Dome. Lots of fights in the stands and witnessed a drunk girl barf all over the poor guy in front of her. Then her boyfriend got decked. LET'S GET BANGIN'
already at 400k subs? thats whats up! congrats
Thank you!!!
Stephen Davis played for the Rams?!?!?!?
War eagle Auburn legend followed shortly after bo Jackson but o thought he retired a panther I didnt know until I saw this its like Stephen jackson on 2015 Patriots who lost in afc title to Broncos
Steven Jackson vs. Devin Hester. LEGENDARY & EXCITING.
If only Rex played like this in the Super Bowl.
He did, then Lovie decided to play Marty ball.
Wish you used the HD master, but still, a great game! All SNF, MNF, and TNF games have been HD since 2003. (MNF 1999 was also HD)
Devin Hester changed how teams thought about special teams. He deserves to get into the HOF. This is his second year of nomination, hopefully he makes it. People forget how good Jackson was for the Rams, i had a good hanful of 1000 yard seasons i think. Crazy good runner. I forgot how incredible Holt was too.
Actually his 3rd. And Holt is also the only GSOT member not in the HOF yet with Pace, Faulk, Bruce and Warner in.

Steven Jackson is by far one of my top 5 running backs of all time the man was a throughbred mustang galloping like a powerhouse through defenders and I'm a Chicago bears fan. The original beast mode just my opinion.
Underrated for sure. Never had a good line really after his rookie season. He's in the fantasy football hall of fame though the guy carried all Rams offensive stats for a solid 5 years.
@@Skorczman13 I think he had like a good 8 yr stretch of 1,000 or more rushing yards per season. People used to think I was from st Louis because I talked about how good he was.

"The N-word Jones Dome" is what I heard the first guy say.
2006-2011 goat era of football
The way you learn to run like Devin Hester, is, you are the littlest kid on the block, but you're fast, and nimble, because piling on is obigatory if you are tackled. Like Devin, you learn to use instant snapshots of the field to plot your course through the momentum of people bigger than you are. That's pure physics, and it worked just as well in the NFL, provided you also have elite blocking, which Devin had as a Bear.
Who are the commentators lmao 🤣? That dude was hype AF every time the bears made a big play or score 😂 😭 Dude was clappin hard AF shouting “YES, YES, COME ON!!!’ 👏 👏 👏 YES”!!!! 😂 😭
15:05 that’s funny. Cause Ron Rivera years later became a HC. And won 2 Coach of the Year Awards both in 2013 and 2015. Already made a name for himself after his time with both the bears and the Chargers
Maybe the scariest weapon in nfl history. Single handedly changed the game in one season. With kickoffs being eliminated, we’ll probably never see a returner like him again.
