Sometimes you'll find yourself making beats just to upload videos, and that can really mess with your creativity. I agree with you bro.. I have purposely taken breaks away from the channel to recharge, rejuvenate, and get inspiration. Great topic, and I'm glad you're finding your way to continue to get inspired!!!🙏🏾✊🏾💚
Thanks for watching man! That's definitely a problem now with the algorithms. Sometimes you've gotta resist and take a much needed break!
Just produced the first song I’ve ever felt proud enough to share publicly and it wouldn’t have happened without your videos. Thank you for everything ❤
Great stuff 🙌🔥
I studied music I spent more than the half of my life studying it and living on it, one day I just stopped, I stopped not for some weeks but for 4 or 5 years lol… and it was perfect for me… the world is to big, and when I decided to return back to my roots, hey! The music was there, it never left, art needs to flow, to rest and you need to live in order to tell stories with your music
💯 🙌
I vibe heavily with this. I had 10 years of burnout after going hard with music for most of my life before. It took a long time to just let it be, and let the passion come back. I've been finally really inspired and busy making beats again for a while. Patience pays off.
Nice tips. Something that I do which I find helps is to only work on one beat at a time. After I finished it I delete all the samples for the beat. I find it helps me stay focussed and move on when the time is right
Thanks for sharing! 🙏🙌
This is so helpful. Thank you. I’ve been struggling with this lately.
Hope they get you back on track! Thanks for watching 👊
love the content! thanks for the perspective
Appreciate it, thanks for tuning in!
Good stuff. For me ...highly encourage ppl to learn an instrument or two. Creating and using your own sample packs helps keep things fresh. I also switch between dawless and daw setups every few months to keep things fresh. Last thing... not every beat is good... don't get hung up... just move on to the next beat. Good stuff...good luck
Yeah that last point is something that can really eat you up if you're not careful. Its too easy to be critical of yourself sometimes
Check out Amed One if you haven't already. He's making some fire boom bap on his MPCs. Would love to see a similar style done with an SP404 because that's what I'm using. :)
Nice! I’ve been on the MPC more lately doing a similar thing 👍
Great Tips!
Thanks bro! 👊
Is it a good idea to clear the 404 when relatively new to it? I'm wondering if I should to stop me moving to the stock sounds as often.
I deleted everything when I got mine. I don’t like playing around with the stock sounds I like finding my own stuff but I get the value in keeping them - especially for beginners. You could always do a backup?
@@spvidz Yeah, I think I will make a backup and then wipe it. I have your bundle and a couple of other packs to work with and I think the stock stuff becomes more of a distraction to me as I get start trawling through it looking for ideas instead of making my own and it actually delays me learning to do my own thing. I'm thinking a clean slate will make me spend more time making my own and things too. Of course I'm relatively new to the 404 and beat making etc so I do have a lot more to learn with mine and the updates are coming faster than I'm getting chance to learn how to use it 😂
