I love it when you have guest like this on! I was raised in Wichia, KS and attended St Fransis of Assisi on the west side of the city. Our parish priest was Fr. Thomas McGreed, an Irish born priest who started the Stewardship Program for the Wichita Diocese that allows students to attend Catholic schools without paying thousands of dollars in tuition. Today, the Wichita Diocese is one of the most successful and vibrant Catholic communities anywhere. As far as I know it is the only diocese in the country that operates under the stewardship model. I understand that the success of the stewardship model in the Wichita Diocese has not gone unnoticed by Rome. Also, my parents were married by an Irish born priest serving in Medicine Lodge, KS. God Bless the Irish born priest!

I knew our family was of Irish blood so I thought it was really special to have him come. I was very excited to meet a real Irishman. This Irishman doesn’t seem to have such a strong accent. The Bishop of Durban South Africa was also Bishop Hurley, and I was a little confused when you spoke of the Bishop as it did not sound like ours, in spite of the fact his parents were Irish born.
the population of irish descent in new york city is greater than the country of ireland currently. the diaspora of irish to america started as a trickle but during the potato famine, mid 1800's, ship after ship arrived to the united states in search of a new life.
Here in England it was an Irish priest, Nicholas Wiseman, who became our first Catholic Archbishop in 300 years. As a non-cradle I don’t think I owe much to the recusants!
I think this tell the story of why Vatican II is such an issue, Because one can't change tradition! It led to a horrific fallout, Then people seemed to be shamed for wanting a traditional mass, Converting to catholicism is such a difficult thing now, Especially as Latin Mass is legit the way it's always been! Remember only the statements that were previously part of doctrine are infallible in Vatican II, We can't reject it all but my gosh there are so many issues including the percentages of people who don't believe A. Jesus is in the living presence of the Eucharist and B. Don't believe they need to be in state of Grace to accept it. God have mercy on our souls!
I love the history of the second Vatican council . It was such a turning point in American politics . A priest from Massachusetts almost got president Nixon impeached.
@@kevinrhatigan5656 the congressmen who tried to impeach Nixon was father Robert Drinan who want to have a vote to impeach based on the President’s bombing of Cambodia. However, he did not have a large consensus.
@@robbieray9164 honestly it did God no service . I feel as though all roads lead to Rome . That GOD is merciful but not Just which mean of less fear of hell and more sin.
I live in Ireland, and have read the documents of Vatican II. What a pity, Fr Richard, that my lived experiences as a catholic are not a reflection of those documents! When people try to whitewash over issues, its disingenuous.
If many people ask what skills or talents you have, I say I don't have special skills or talents, because I like all skills or talents, I am someone who likes to animate and enjoy, I like music, I like cooking, I like beauty or eco-friendly, I like fashion, I like beauty, I like politics, I like law, I like social, I like business, I like cleanliness, I like giving encouragement or input, I like health, I like religion, I like nature universe, I love God. at home they say we are confused with your character, and also neighbors and even my friends, they say we are confused with your character, we can't guess your true character, maybe people say I'm harsh or tough but actually not, I have two characters I a little tomboyish but I'm tomboyish but spoiled, I have left-handedness, both of my hands are functioning, namely left and right, and I'm a person who likes romance, I like tenderness, I like attention and love, I'm loyal, and I like to give even though I'm poor . I'm generous, easy to feel sorry for others, even I like to pity people, if I see a poor person or a disabled person on the street, I like to give, for example, small amounts of money, even though I don't have money, I see humble people, it's hard for me to see it, but my tears fell and after that I cried, I like my grandparents even though my grandparents have died, sometimes I live or come to a place I get to know my grandparents I immediately get along and I unconsciously make them grandparents I myself, I like small children, sometimes I see children who are cute and tiny, I like to invite them to be little friends, I have sharp feelings. these are my strengths and weaknesses that God has given me, I realize that I am an imperfect person, because only God is perfect. I'm just an ordinary human. 🙏✝️
What's Fr Larkins view - Given the priest shortage and the fact we are living longer and healthier should the Church increase the mandatory retirement age for priests? [Biden turns 80 this week!]
Was so disappointed when I went back home to Ireland and found the Chapel I attended almost empty for Sunday morning Mass. Never thought I'd see the day . Ireland is not the Christian country I grew up in anymore. Other false religions are thriving there now .
Could you move the 'dolls or miniature statues off the table? Poor taste and a sloppy set to boot. For goodness sake dress respectfully as well. Is that the way to represent the Church?
I'm afraid to say the church is not in a "prosperous state today" as Fr. Richard remarked. As a practicing Catholic who lives in New Mexico, I can tell you that the often empty churches and parishes that have no active priests is proof enough. Until we have a Pope willing to lift the absurd - and very damaging - ban on married priests, this unfortunate situation will not improve. Forced celibacy is a bad idea - period. I can be convinced that monastic priests should be celibate, but not Parrish priests. If the church were to permit married priests, not only would attendance improve dramatically, but so too would be the number - and quality - of priests. And the church had better swiftly change this policy; if not, the numbers will continue to precipitously decline.
Mother Mary is the mediatrix of ALL grace???? No way!! As a Protestant, I query that! When Jesus came for me, in high school, there WERE no Catholic kids in my school to talk to. They were all sequestered in Catholic schools!! So Catholicism wasn't an option for me. It wasn't an option for Jesus!! He isn't limited to the Catholic Church!
Watching from Ireland 🇮🇪

Och, I’ll do it nice and easy like, so no-one else will hear.
“If anything should happen to me, before you go away,
There’s no-one but yourself I want to shrive me for the clay.
The Cannon might like it, for he’s still hail and strong,
And I’m sure if he anointed me he wouldn’t do it wrong.
But I’d just feel more contented, if the hand that helped me go,
Was the hand that threw the snowball, twenty years ago.
Thank you for posting the Priestin of. Father John, I was interested in reading the rest of the poem.
Loved this session. On the topic of good homilies, It reminded me that The Holy Spirit comes through, leading the thoughts and words.

RIP to our local Irish parish priest, Fr. John Fitzgerald, in Santa Maria CA, Los Angeles archdiocese. I can still see him bobbing up and down, raising his heels for emphasis during his sermons, and cocking his head to the left while he held his hands out in prayer. He liked the incense.
89, so alert, sense of humor intact and still going.
My Dad passed at 87.
We need to listen to these treasures, while they are still with us.
PBTOLJC➕
While enjoying this interview the young priest had to insert His Pope splaining disclaimer.
I don’t fallow stuff I have to filter.
So I probably am crossing this channel off my list.
We read. We are aware of the Francis problems.
My grandparents were Irish from Co Mayo although I was Scottish I was brought up Irish and I still I feel Irish more than Scottish my maternal grandparents brought me up last name Henaghen
Greetings from Ireland. Surely, FBI should be ABI... Actually born Irish?!👌 God bless you, Fr. Larkin. Great show, as usual, fellows.

I am a South African and the nuns at school were Irish, the priests were Irish. They were all Dominicans. The parish priest was O.M.I. I was in my 80s before I met a secular priest.
@Mary Faulkner yes i know. it was famine constructed by the british economy against the irish in rebellion. but people did starve
Here in England it was an Irish priest, Nicholas Wiseman, who became our first Catholic Archbishop in 300 years.
As a non-cradle I don’t think I owe much to the recusants!
Recusants?
What do you have against them?
He looks so good for 89
I'd buy the merch, but I hate the color orange 🍊 lol 😅 whish thise mugs had different colors
🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️
I love the history of the second Vatican council . It was such a turning point in American politics . A priest from Massachusetts almost got president Nixon impeached.
how so?
@@kevinrhatigan5656 the congressmen who tried to impeach Nixon was father Robert Drinan who want to have a vote to impeach based on the President’s bombing of Cambodia. However, he did not have a large consensus.
@@christopherbrunetti5074 thank you for that history blip. I never knew.
V2 killed the church from inside
@@robbieray9164 honestly it did God no service . I feel as though all roads lead to Rome . That GOD is merciful but not Just which mean of less fear of hell and more sin.
Thanksgiving we all have gr at advent great
Fr. Rich, have you been attending a Byzantine Divine Liturgy or 3 on the sly? ("Wisdom, be attentive.")
Great Show! Could you guys please add a link to Truth Social? Thanks!
Fr. Larkin looks young for his age.
Hallow God bless
How do I get the 19 documents of Vatican II
They’re free right here: www.ewtn.com/catholicism/library/16-documents-of-the-second-vatican-council-1509
89 YEARS OLD.
WOW.
🙏
I live in Ireland, and have read the documents of Vatican II. What a pity, Fr Richard, that my lived experiences as a catholic are not a reflection of those documents! When people try to whitewash over issues, its disingenuous.
Vatican two was a total rupture not a continuity for sure . This priest confirms it
If many people ask what skills or talents you have, I say I don't have special skills or talents, because I like all skills or talents, I am someone who likes to animate and enjoy, I like music, I like cooking, I like beauty or eco-friendly, I like fashion, I like beauty, I like politics, I like law, I like social, I like business, I like cleanliness, I like giving encouragement or input, I like health, I like religion, I like nature universe, I love God. at home they say we are confused with your character, and also neighbors and even my friends, they say we are confused with your character, we can't guess your true character, maybe people say I'm harsh or tough but actually not, I have two characters I a little tomboyish but I'm tomboyish but spoiled, I have left-handedness, both of my hands are functioning, namely left and right, and I'm a person who likes romance, I like tenderness, I like attention and love, I'm loyal, and I like to give even though I'm poor .
What's up with the ac/DC white trash noise at the beginning?
How was Fatima
The statues do nothing for your informative show! GOD BLESS EVERYONE ESPECIALLY JEN.😂
I wonder if Catholic priests has senior citizen cards for their healthcare???
There are indigenous people that also call themselves FBI; Full-Blooded Indian.
Let the priest talk, I want to hear him. Not the hosts.
I agree with you ,they ask him a question and they talk over him.
All Catholics are baptised and only Catholics can enter Heaven☦️✝️☦️
Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus🏴🌻🏴
That is not entirely Catholic Doctrine.
Was so disappointed when I went back home to Ireland and found the Chapel I attended almost empty for Sunday morning Mass. Never thought I'd see the day . Ireland is not the Christian country I grew up in anymore. Other false religions are thriving there now .
,,,,,,,,, You said ..Fr. Larkiin is a ....👉Father👈...but where is his identity being a ...Priest..??😃😄,,,,,
Could you move the 'dolls or miniature statues off the table? Poor taste and a sloppy set to boot.
For goodness sake dress respectfully as well. Is that the way to represent the Church?
Get rid off the stupid dolls
🤗 *promo sm*.
Gamma.🤔
Modernization of Religion failed to embrace the Family as it's foundation on Christ.
What is wrong with our beautiful ireland we have a secular government here and we are ruled by Europe
FBI. Full Blooded Italian
