Playing in midfield is different from playing on the wing, Saka has walker over there to stretch the play, overlap and speed back into defense. It's a tactical discussion, not a player evaluation.

If he played for another club, maybe the conversion would be more about the coach not getting the best out of the team.

Saka played really well in the first half. I don’t think any of the attackers played well in the second half. For me, England always look under-coached. I always see players looking confused on the pitch when I watch England play. As if there’s no actual system.

Talent level or club performance levels are IRRELEVANT if the player doesn't fit with the team and/or system at international level. How many players move teams every summer but flop or succeed massively, it's about FIT. Foden is the problem, not the solution.

saka broke through as a leftback FFS, then was so good at it he got moved to leftwing, then was so good at that he got moved to rightwing and was deployed as an inside forward tactically.
