3M Feathering Adhesive is the solution to your sandpaper replacement problem. We knifemakers use disc grinders like this all the time. Changing paper is a breeze using the feathering compound.
If those scissors weren't scrap when you started, they were when you'd finished. Tip - Score the line you made on the backing with a craft knife (only the backing, not the grit ) and the waste snaps off clean and easy.
@@nicholas8479 Note where I said . ." Only score the (paper) backing , not (through to ) the grit " . . Cutting paper / cloth backing will not damage your blade . So it's turn your sheet grit face down , score a line across the backing , then fold the sheet along the line and it snaps cleanly . Try it and see .
5 hours work for 5 - 10 minutes grinding fun - you should use at least "klett" (Velcro) connections to hold the sandpaper on the disk. If so, changing the paper takes some few minutes instead of starting the whole work again and again
Hello, I just have a question ...what is that "square" thing wired to the motor? and also do you have a schematic how to wire the motor? I have the same with a 5-pin plug but don't know how to wire it, the starter relay has two wires but there is only one pin in the plug...I'm lost, seems so easy, nobody bothers with explaining..
cut the noise,,,,,....as it is NOT REQUIRED.........make that wood disk, 2 inches thick. Then, rough the outside a little. Install another 2 inch, roller (from skateboard, ones with bearings; 4 for about 32 bucks on amazon), and add a push or pull spring to it. Install a 2 inch belt, maybe 24 inches or so.....NOW YOU have a 2 in one sander. making mine now.....only use a 9 inch steel plate, with hole in center for motor, it is 1/2 inch thick) sands REALLY GOOD,
You did not worry to answer the most obvious question a friend already done: to replace the sand disc or simply change grain you must dismantle all, yes or not? Obviously yes!
Just ensure that the disc that you fit to the shaft is rated to a higher rotational speed than the motor’s maximum speed. There is a real risk of the disc exploding due to centrifugal forces. SAFETY FIRST !
Particleboard?? REALLY?? I can see that flying apart after a few uses. Maybe try, um, I dunno, uh HARDWOOD of some kind. I don't use particleboard for NOTHING, and I laugh at people who do. Interesting idea. 3 stars...
If you want to make a valid point try not using double negatives. "I don't use particleboard for NOTHING, and I laugh at people who do". You are saying you do use particle board. I laugh at people who speak and write the way you do.

Use a Hook 'N Loop sanding disc mount for easy change from worn to new ?

Very good my friend
Wow thanks for giving us an idea...❤❤
Solo de ese porte o más grande podría hacer la sircunferensia y no habría ningún inconveniente
отлично
Very interesting and innovative

can you do this with a motor from a dryer?

Идея хорошая. Работа топорная... И результат такой же.
Да уж работа так тяп ляп и готово неприятно смотреть
A good idea. I think we can make use of the motor for more similar rotational jobs for various purposes 🙏

Hey ! Please tell me how to connect the motor?
in my channel you can find many wiring videos! Thanks for your Coment :)

Nice work :)
How can I use that motor and slow it down would a dimmer switch do it?
Is 2 speed motor, when you turn on a slow speed you will use a electromagnetic brake

Sandpaper was cut with a disposable blade knife, back on the days.
Great masterpiece... with the assumption the sand paper lasts 3 years on the disc, as durable as diamond

muy largo el tutorial gracias igual
You can use double backed tape to attach your sand paper, thus you can replace it by pealing it off. repeat.
bueno
U could get some velcro to hold the paper on
I made this video for people who don't have the ability to use Velcro.....
Your idea is good but why not put a self-adhesive velcro disc
Because I want to show the cheapest and easiest way to replace sandpaper. My next project will be with Velcro discs. Thanks for your 👌
velcro backed sand papers are available, why stick it on to the circular wood using epoxy.

Just use a heat gun to melt the glue and pull off the sand paper and glue a new piece on. Use a thick nylon cutting board for the disc next time.
The programmes are unedited. The point of the programme is lost in endless repetition.

devi mettere il feltro incollato alla base di legno, in modo che, quando devi sostituire l'abbrasivo non occorre scollare il vecchio.
