I've been washing my hair since day 1 post transplant. But the first week was just a juf of water poured over ny head to clean shampoo off. The second week I used gentle shower. Day 12 I very gently removed the scabs. Now it's day 13 and I don't know how often to wash going forward but I still use shower head

The sooner you can shower after any type of medical procedure the better. It stimulates the healing process immediately. With a hair transplant i would assume keeping the area dry with a shower cap of some type and avoiding direct contact with the water flow would be recommended right after surgery but the sooner you can get a nice warm shower the better. Physically and psychologically.

It is funny how many opinions there are. Another clinic says that first two weeks, shower the head starting basically third day after surgery, and do so by gently tapping some baby shampoo bubbles on the recipient area and then wash it down with like water in bowl.
So many differences per each clinic.
I guess the reality is that it doesn't really matter much and the most important part of first 7-10 days is not touching the transplant area with any pressure pressure, no rubbing, no stream of water etc. That is probably something most clinics agree on so I would consider that to be actually important.

Every patient is different, and there are a lot of factors to consider. With the aftercare instructions it's better to err on the side of caution.

You didn’t answer the actual question in this video when you can direct shower after hair transplant.

Good question as ketakonazole can reduce inflammation. It does include alcohol and fragrance so perhaps in moderation?

      Hi Ben,
You can start using your normal shampoo again a month after the hair transplant, unless your doctor advises against it.

Hello! Can I rub my scalp after 1 month? I’m still very gentle to the scalp I’m afraid that maybe some grafts can fall out. And after I shower my scalp becomes white because of dryness, what should I do doctor?

By the 1 month mark, the grafts are secure. Switching to a more hydrating shampoo might help, but it is best to check with your surgeon.
