In the demo case, the client did feel guilty about her unhelpful behaviour. What steps can be taken if someone is comfortable in being involved in unhelpful behaviour & finds it an easier way.
Eg. 1. I'm okay to be fat, I have more things to focus on, so I won't exercise.
Eg. 2 I'm comfortable with my aggressive behaviour, as it helps me to convince my point to people & get the things done my way.
First of all such ppl might not even be motivated for therapy, but, say for example, we are working on a couple counseling or family therapy, and one person's behaviour is creating difficulties for other members in the picture, how can we proceed with therapy with such persons.?

Good question. We set goals for therapy in the beginning, and choose an area where the client has an insight and wants to work on something. Regardless what they choose, the therapist will be able to reach similar dysfunctional thought patterns at the root of these emotions or behaviours.
      2. If they have an insight but see an advantage of the dysfunctional behavior or state, tell them that it comes with a price. Similar results can be achieved with functional emotions and behaviours.
      3. Do motivational syllogism and motivational interview.
      4. If clients still resist, there could be other reasons for resistance, need to be explored.
      5. Remember thorough evaluation would be the right thing to do eg. MCMI4.
