The personal stats are very important. They let a coach know when a player can do in a game and when they can handle more playing time . In this case is was a first for a rookie to have in a WNBA game . All these add up . C.C. has broken many records throughout her career and she’s just getting started in the WNBA .

I’m a Pacific Islander and I’ve never followed woman’s basketball, but I must admit that CC is inspiring to watch. I think people admire her hard work, determination, courage and temperament and we’re noticing the many other great players players in the games. Black people make up about 13% of the US population so if other races start watching the WNBA then viewership will naturally grow.

To me CC appears to be an anomaly. Inspiring to many people that wouldn’t think that someone like them could do this well in a sport where others are more physically dominant. So it has to be something special, heart, determination, grit, fight, dog. Call it what you will, that unseeable thing that is evident in action and draws the viewers.
A victory over NY is a great litmus test for any team. They are very sound and have solid coaching. Fever played an inspired game. If they can learn from this game and grow as a team, they will be in the mix for some playoff action. Great effort by the team for the entire game.

Hey man, credit due where credit earned. The Fever is a young team all learning together, and everyone shines at some point, and that's true for much of the league. It's just going to take most people new to the league - like myself - a while to spread their vision wide enough to take in other players and other teams.
I've watched women's sports over 40 years, but not women's professional basketball. Now it's the ONLY sport I watch at all. I gave up on men's professional sports in 2018, so am really enjoying this league that's brand new to me. I just hope they grow and expand into what the NBA became during their transformation in the 1980s. I haven't been this excited about basketball since Michael Jordan got drafted into the NBAin '84 when I 16. I feel like a kid again - it's weird.

Wow! First, I’m not one of her bandwagon fans. I watch all basketball, including this game. This is the first game that I believe she should have been hyped for, not the avg play. I hate the coverup of her bad decision making, terrible defense, and turnovers and they glorify her anyway. I think she is the #3 player and the 3rd best 3pt shooter on the team. I think the “powers that be” is forcing both she and the coach to leave her in the game and take more shots, to statically justify the hype. But today, she was able to put an actual good game together, a game worth the hype and against a really good team. And they won. lol

That's what I said and then remembered it was 2024, not 1969. We don't splice film any more. Everything is digital. Unless thay are using an 8 MM camera, or even 16MM. But you can't butcher a recording as badly as this with digital equipment, unless you were purposely trying to sabotage it.

Great win against a 17-3 team and a triple double by Caitlan, very nice. But I am through watching this crap. And not because I could easily setect about 80 travelling calls, if prorated over this short clip. this camera work is beyond terrible, it is unwatchable and gives me motion sickness. Cameras all over the place, rarely centered on the target, jumping from camera to camera (or cell phone to cell phone), that's how bad it is. The resolution is all effed up. The player slook like squat overweight dwarves. If this had been my first game, I would have believed this was tyhe actual shape of the players. Constantly in and out of focus, can't see the player inbounding, blur in, blur out, jumping from wothless view to one even worse. Highest resolution allowed was 720p, but if you believe a single frame from this disaster is even at 480p you are either a liar or blind. Just pathetic overall, and I will not be back. I thought with a little exposure, this kind of amateur camerawork would improve, but it has only gotten worse. But the motion sickness was a dealbreaker for me, it was like a really poorly optimized video game. I used to work AV back in Junior High in around 1972-73, and we were in charge of the JV basketball games being taped. We had nothing close to what is available today, 52 friggin years later. And our production and execution of our filming was pretty amateurish, but not with all aspects considered: It was firsts for all of us using the equipment, the 9th grade team got the best equipment and most experienced AV members. But we still pulled off a watchable game, that actually looked like it had a flow to it, as basketball games should, instead of looking like a surgeon on acid had butchered the film and the Elmer's glued it back together. Had to remind myself, you don't have to even deal with that, I assume this was all digital, though it looked like it absolutely was shot in the 1940s. You had the 720p highest option, so yeah, all digital. How do you even get that blurring so consistently through the whole part of the game that was shown? Thankfully, it was not a full game, or the motion sickness would have put me in the bathroom, barfing my guts out, and would not have even been around for the final score. Nauseous. Anyhow, I appreciate the effort, it was a fantastic game, the parts I could actually see, but I'm done with this crappy type coverage. Good luck on the league. I believe if Caitlan had not been in this game, 90% of people that viewed this video, would have shut it off in the first two minutes. Nope, gonezo for me.

it looks like a team strategy to get the ball into her hands so she can start the break. Boston and others block out while she grabs the rebound. She is a decent rebounder, but these high numbers are probably due to team strategy.
Rebounding is often like this. A lucky high bounce comes to you and you get a rebound. But even then you have to be somewhere close to the basket, which a lot of point guards don’t do. There are plenty of point guards who play an entire career without getting 10 rebounds in a game.
She has basketball I.q something an average player does not have.She is special.
