Dang bro, couldnt of picked a harder day! Done a lot of that, all around the harbor & up into Lemon Bay for years. I mark all the potholes in my GPS & fish em in all different tides & temps. There are very big gators & snook all through there, not to mention bull sharks. I try to stay in the boat most of the time, not like the redfish guys, up to their chest, they must of never seen anyone hit by a stingray. I like the change up in content, I spearfished a lot in my earlier years, not quite to your level, did most 80 - 100'. Back then that was way out, not like now, it's a parking lot 90 miles out in ARS season! Maybe I'll run into you one day. Keep up the good work & stay safe brother.

It was a hard day but one that I didn’t mind making. I’ve had some of my best days in that creek in the last 10 years so it’s always worth checking. I didn’t ever make it back last winter and it isn’t a summer spot so maybe I’ll check it out in 4-5 months.

I started fishing Charlotte Harbor in 85 with a 13 ft. whaler and later with a shallow water 17 ft.. I mainly fished the east side from Ponce down to south of Burnt Store. I did a lot of wade fly fishing for Snook, Trout, Redfish and Tarpon. Still looking to land that 125 ib Tarpon on fly but the years are escaping me. Are you banging the ducks just east of Harbor Heights. I had to laugh at my neighbor because he went out with his 40 thinking some Shit was going down in our neighborhood last weekend. I guess it was the first he heard gunshots...I just said Nope ..just duck hunters.

Yes I was there a bunch this year. The blue bills were thick this season. Had a lot of fun with the kids and some good buddies.

I’m teaching my girlfriend to fly fish now. Something she has wanted to do for a while I guess. I used to bring the fly rod with me when I found schools of snook like this and had some fun with them. I never did catch a red on fly and that’s one of my goals this year.

Now is the right time with our very low tides. There is nothing like getting out of the boat on the grass flats and stalk waving redfish tails@@jasonbihari

Right now is the best time to start. Tides are getting a little higher and the water should be getting clear.

I’m still gonna do the commercial spearfishing videos just gonna add this in. I have a trip scheduled for Friday and Saturday but other than that I haven’t been diving yet this year.

I’m sure I’ll do more, but it was a little discouraging getting such few views for so much more work. I just think most of my audience likes the dive videos only and I’ll have to gather more subscribers that like other content.

Still doing that as well just adding this in on top. Well I guess that’s if people like it I’ll continue to try new stuff. I actually started bringing the camera with me on a couple of duck hunts, but I only have a handful of clips. Nothing to make a full video anyway. I was just getting used to having it on and with me and I thought it was pretty neat and actually took really good video.

160’ to 6”. How long does the moss hand around?
I lose subscribers when I post hook in line video.

The moss is here to stay. I think it’s something to do with too much nutrients in the water now. I know the mine phosphate up river from here so that might be something to do with it. We used to have really nice turtle grass in this area and now you can only find little sprigs of it. If you move out closer to the gulf we still have nice grass.
My videos aren’t done great right now anyway so it’s not going to hurt. We are diving tomorrow and Saturday so I’ll have some more spear videos next week. I figure I’ll mix some flats into it and see what happens

Oddly enough I got a $9 per k rate on this one though. Would be sweet if it got 20-30k views.
