    This video is going deep into the real hell of chronic illness. I know it’s good to be positive and hopeful, but voicing the true suffering of going through chronic illness with the mindset that true recovery is possible is so so important

    As a man who has struggled over the years of suicidal thoughts, going through chronic illness, I appreciate what has been voiced in this video.

    Where can I find a buddy like these guys have?
    Male, a young 60 😁, 3 years plus long covid, not able to work, seeks healing buddy for mutual recovery support.
    Great job guys, thanks 👍

    Thanks Raelan for having Joe and Josh on your channel! I’ve been in their boot camp for a few months and I’m here to say they are the real deal! It’s not about the money for them, they really care about the people. The community aspect has made such a difference for me in my recovery! I’ve made so much progress since joining The Healing Dudes. Hoping to share my story on your channel one day in the near future.

    This is such great content! I am so happy to know that the Healing Dudes are out there. I really appreciated the comment that Joshua made about the psychological impacts of depersonalization and derealization. This is way more common than people think and is often overlooked in healing communities bc it's poorly understood. People often times don't seek help bc they are so afraid of what the world will think of them if they admit to these two things bc they can feel crazy making but it is all just a part of the brain being in a state of fear. I look at "mental health" so different now.

    I also have suicidal thoughts during my 2 years of struggling getting better. I often remind myself how far I already came, where I was and where I want to be in the future and often Im telling myself that that is my life task I have to go through, nothing else counts in my life right now in this moment. I cant just quit on life, it would be to easy and when I come out of this, oh dear, life is going to be so much easier then it is right now. Im telling myself, keep going my little son, keep going never give up you are more then you know, its only a fase, not a life sentens. I mean the first year was realy bad, the second year is already better, so the fours or the fives year is going to be even better and exially it doesnt matter when its gets better, its just a life experience which makes you stronger and wiser.

      There’s one thing that I don’t understand: a lots of people try everything to heal as did these 2 guys and then magically with this mind body work ( which is never clear what’s about) they heal. I mean these video about people healing with neuro plasticity are always quite foggy. It’s so difficult to believe especially if the people interviewed then sell their help

    I agree with all what you said here..the hard part for me is when people are wondering why I can't do things. It's easier to say I have.. bla bla bla instead of I'm just really tired and don't feel well. No one gets it really.

    Fantastic interview, I shared this with a friend that really needs help getting better. I was struggling from long COVID and her symptoms are similar. She started having things go wrong after stopping a 9 year stint of using benzos but oddly most symptoms match mine. I am pretty much recovered but she is really struggling still. Jordyn if you see my comment just know you will beat this illness because you are strong.

    The issue with all these healing programs is the cost. Those who require this sort of treatment probably aren't working. They're probably struggling already to pay for private medical care as they've been failed by the medical system and then have to find hundreds to pay for limbic system retraining.
    It just seems unethical to me. People who claim they were once in the same place physically and mentally but are now cured. If I ever get to a place where I have my life back I'd happily help anyone in any way that I could, not try make money off those still in a bad place.
    Before someone kicks off, I'm not saying they need to offer a freebie to everyone, but some of the prices charged by some providers are imo daylight robbery.
    Rant over

    So important talk about mens health aspect in this, my experience also in hospital settings is that men more just have to suck it up and endure the pain and suffering. I have met very little empathy and compassion from others on the chronic illness hell journey. So we need more support of each other and more love & softness. It can be so brutal and cold out there.

    • @akashajones6079
      @akashajones6079 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm sorry. But that's just bull.
      You need to read up on how poorly so many women are treated by medical professionals. Gaslighting and not giving women pain relief during procedures that are automatically given to men. Men are also notorious for complaining far more when sick.

    Accountability is a huge component. The critical element is having a healthy accountability partner it is critical and I’m sure that their program is based around that concept or it would not be seeing success🤷‍♀️
    And finding a purpose to live let me to your own internal reward system not the reward system of another in my opinion is that other critical element they discuss.
    I remember so very well after failing to scuba classes because well it was not a match to my lungs my nervous system and I kept saying what do I need to do to be successful at this and they kept coming back with it Hass to be something that you want to do not be something that you’re doing for someone else and they nailed it I was doing it for someone else and it never really worked. That one thing put me in a very dangerous spot and it wasn’t safe and a lot of things cascaded from that

    • @Thehealingdudes
      @Thehealingdudes 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Absolutely agree, healing isn’t just a mindset. It’s about nervous system regulation, calming the body down and allowing the immune system to full function properly. Unfortunately, in chronic stages clinically speaking there is no viable treatment in terms of medications that’s showing consistent promise. So until their is a cure or viable treatment, nervous system retraining proves to be time and time again an affective tool to help heal ease symptoms. Cheers

    There are more women sick with these illnesses than men. Thats a fact. The figures for ME are approx 75-85% are women; for fibromyalgia the estimated figure is even higher. This is now well accepted, and it's thought that this could be because these illnesses have an autoimmune component (women being more susceptible overall to autoimmunity).

    • @amysin963
      @amysin963 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Thank you for saying this; I was about to say the same. While I appreciate that this kind of suffering sucks no matter what your gender, we women don’t need another man trying to erase the reality of the numbers here, as well as the fact that these illnesses are being ignored BECAUSE they affect more women than men. There’s a long history of “women’s illnesses” being dismissed/ridiculed by the medical establishment. Heck, women and minorities were only required to be part of clinical trials until the 90s. That’s mind-blowing. There was even a study on estrogen that was only done on MEN. So, let’s be truthful here and let’s not contribute to women being erased. There are many well-documented studies that show that both ME and LC are happening more with women than men.

    • @amysin963
      @amysin963 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Let me also add that with an estimated 17m with LC in the US right now, if even 25-30% are men, that’s a huge number. I take nothing away from the men who are suffering. But if you call yourself the Healing Dudes, you’re probably going to attract more men than women. I also want to add that, proportional to their population, transgender people are suffering more than either women or men. Not higher numbers, but proportional to their population.
      Lastly, I think these guys are great and I’m glad they have recovered together and are sharing their tricks and tips with us. I don’t want the larger benefit of what they’re doing to get lost behind one statement made early in the video. Thank you, Raelan!

    • @Thehealingdudes
      @Thehealingdudes 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We rarely speak out to just men and our BootCamps are 70% women. Kindly, you said we don’t need men erasing the reality of numbers. We haven’t done that and want to serve as a beacon of hope to ALL who suffer.
