If for some reason the killer's target is on the other side of the board, they can still attack people if the shortest path to their target would see them finish on a square with victims.

But know you help me remember. This could of help me a lot through the many games I've played.
I am just learning to play this game and this video has helped a lot, but one thing is not clear to me with the final girls health. Q. Lets say I have 4 health left including the +1 die token and I take 5 damage from an attack, does the damage stop at the token then I flip it and carry on assuming there is at least 1heart on the other side? or is she just dead? this really isn't clear in the rule book

Excellent summary. I've forgotten #6 most plays, especially the fact that it applies to the killer's health status too. (Never remembered that part.)

Another rule that I missed on my first play; you can only escort two victims at once and they will not follow you into the killer's space.

The way I personally play it is that the damage doesn't "overflow". Take 5 damage: you go from 4 to zero, but you still have one last chance.
The damage stops at the token, if there are hearts the phase immediately ends and no excess damage is applied (per page 28 of the rules)
It's painful to see the boards not bent back.
