The good ole days before Mapquest, smart phones and Google maps. Welcome to the world of the road atlas. Plenty of wrong turns and u-turns. Lol. Love how Nelson randomly films himself. It's as if you can tell by his facial expression..."Wtf did I get myself into"
How many people got cut off from drivers not looking and pulling out, or rear ended while pulled over is my question? I saw a show from the 70s and they mentioned how annoyed they get when someone is using a map while driving 😅
Yes, it has. Stopping to ask directions and reading maps are skills not used anymore. Back in the 90's I was a 911 Operator/Dispatcher and part of the job skills test was how fast you could use a Mapsco. I had always loved maps, and I travelled around Europe using maps, so aced that test! People can't even read maps anymore. A lost art. I still love to look at maps and globes, but I admit to using the easy button in the car.
I think he has pretty much disappeared now. As far as I'm concerned he can go back under the rock he came out of. The Pop Tarts, Randy and Fenton are still working with RuPaul and Dick is still around helping keep Nelson's memory alive. Larry Tee want on to fame as well.
But the land phones had their own little spot or were in the main room with no privacy and no cord or Barrett to to unplug or anything when we needed it to stop ..it rang we RAN for it or had to wonder who called ,if it was in the wee hours we worried if they were ok ,,hoped the,d call back.it was trying at times.( no cord or battery) correction.yes the phone ruled the house.children fought to try to answered it thinking it was for them .people were asked to leave the room for privacy ,awkward too.paranoia types would think you were asking them to leave for a minute so you could talk though everyone was talking about them.how could you get privacy s round them guys ?or your parents for teens who wanted privacy.........rich people had phones in their bedrooms,,lucky ones had long cords so you could wander around that was cool.but when the phone rang the house stopped for a second at least ,it ruled the house

Watch again and outside of a pickup truck or van NO GIANT SUV'S doing 95 miles an hour like they are a sports car. I know the Bronco was out and the like but it just looked better on the road without those giants speeding. I like them, but they got out of hand. Thanks. James
And look how much larger the lanes appear without those wide ass SUV's. Also, another big difference is that the majority of cars back then had 0-60 times of 10-12 seconds, with top speeds of around 80 or so. Now, every vehicle is about 8 seconds or less with top speeds of 125 or greater.. and everyone is now driving 80+ MPH (compared to 60 or so) because vehicles no longer shake and strain at those speeds. Even sports cars of that era are pokey compared to the vehicles of today.

Yup, I my pops had the Rand McNally road Atlas. Used it everyday to line up our jobs for the day! Wish I could go back to those times!
Nelson would be one of the biggest youtubers if he were alive today. bigger than pewdiepie. RIP.
Imagine the videos he could make today if he was still alive.

In several videos, Albert has a real attitude with Nelson. It’s so off-putting.
SoggyAnimalCracker Thank you. I can't stand that little #/$@ Albert Crudo. I hope he's living in obscurity now.
Tell me abt it...hate his behavior..without Nelson he would have disappeared somewhere in history

Ever drive a car with a bad ass V8 engine? We were speeding alright.
