Do we need to switch it off after few hours of use..??
Company has given a timer of 8 hours. It means you can run it continuously atleast for 8 hours at low or medium fan speed. Practical I am using mainly in the night time. First I switch it on around 9 pm at High fan speed for Half an hour then I change the mode to medium fan speed after after when I go to bed at 10pm or 11 pm I change it to low fan speed or night mode till when I get up in the morning at 5 am. It means everyday I am using it continuously atleast for 8 hours or sometime even more. Moreover I use it in day time too for 1 or 2 hours.
There is no issue if you use it for longer period of time. Moreover there is a warranty of one year so use without tension.👍👍

Yes it do collect. The reason is simple because I use only in the night. Rest whole day windows remain open. If dust accumulation is more at your place then keep purifier on Hi fan speed mode .

Hi sir extremely happy to see your review. I just purchased today. When I am using the machine the colour changes from Orange to green in 5 seconds and then again back to orange. This keeps on repeating all the time. Is it normal or some fault in machine?
No it is not normal.... You call their customer care and they will surely help. Moreover the dust sensor can be calibrated. They will help you out.
How we know when to change if filter replacement indicator is not present ..... even some are saying we can reuse by doing some vacuum cleaning...I am confused between Sharp FP-J40M-W (with Replacement filter Indicator) and
Sharp FP-F40E-W ...please help....
See when you will buy and after using you will have an idea that when air quality is poor then it shows orange indicator and the moment air is cleaned it changes into green and this goes on. In my room it take minimum 2 minutes to max 10 minutes to clean the air.
But when you will notice that the colour is not changing from Orange to green even after the maximum time is crossed or simply it is taking long time, say around half an hour then it is time to change the filter. And it is true by regular cleaning the filter yourself will double the life of the filter.

Check the room size first then see which fits as per specifications for your room. sharp fp j40 mw covers 350 sqft and next one covers 320 sqft. Features wise HEPA 14 filter and plasma cluster technology are same. Other features are not necessarily required. So take the decision on the basis of room size.

Abhi bhi mast chal raha hai.. Chuki main regular cleaning karta hu aur filter ko sun ke under bhi rakhta hu isiliye abhi bhi main hepa filter bilkul naya sa hai .. agar percentage me kahu to sirf 5% hi ganda hua hai.... Aapko bata du main ye Purifier almost har raat ko sone ke samay on karta hu aur subha ko off karta hu....
Sir does it release ozone air which is harmful for lungs and eyes. And the other company philips filter upto.0.002 microns whereas sharp model filters only upto 0.03 microns. I am suffering from allergy rhinitis so I need to buy air purifier.plz help with my query. Thanks in advance.
First of all sorry for late reply.. Before purchasing this I did a lot of research and found that this particular model does not release ozone. Moreover I am using it for last few months and till now I have not noticed any such sign... Rather my allergy problem got recovered to a large extent.

AAP aik baar Sara windows and door close kar ke aur fan ko off karke room ke ander chalaiye. Kuch der (max 10 minutes) gree orange hone ke baad green light jayada der tak on rahna chahiye... Normally Maine dekha hai agar close room me age koi movment nahi hota hai to ye continuos green bhi rhta hai... Par jaise hi door khula ya phir bed par baithne se ya utarne se ya koi kapda jharne ke ye phir Orange ho jata hai....

Discontinued does not mean product is bad.... Secondly it is still available at very low price ( below 10k). Finally it's filters and warranty are available for future service...

The product is good indeed and planning to buy, but before that I want to confirm which year month the product was disconnected in India. I also understand the fact that for all SHARP products service and consumables (filter) will be available for a period of 5 years from the date of product being discontinued in India.
