Don't worry guys, because the Gloz and Blak seemed to perform uncharacteristically bad, I'm going to do a second round of testing on a different vehicle for those two tire coating products, and see if they perform better. Stay tuned!
No1. Looks like this guy drives his car like HELL...like CHUNKS missing out of the tire?!?! No2. Have to REALLY clean the tires well before putting this stuff down, APC, Alk cleaner, etc. Preparation is major on this one....do appreciate the update.
Probably a factor. Even with a lot of road rash I think I should still be able to see some coating on the tire. I agree about prep, in the original video, I talk about how I cleaned the tires at least 3 times with heavy duty cleaner. I was surprised.
Sorry Turner... could be that surface still had 'protectant' residue embedded! >>>> We have NEVER EVER seen that bad and we see lots of peeps try applying after they use Armor All types prior. Did that client run through another service or automated wash!?! >>>>> The white haze would be the broken polymers bonds. The products where not able to bond properly. >>>>>> RENEW PROTECT will last up to two years on exterior trim, 3-6 months on tire, and DASH is forever. >>>>>>>> Please check all our pro reviews.... Thanks!
Interesting, thanks for the feedback here, glad I sub'd your channel. I've been interested in Blak after hearing users reporting at least a couple of months solid durability on the road, so I'm left wondering why the huge discrepancy. I doubt that it's an issue of different tyres/compositions. The tyres and rims look severely beat up - maybe extreme conditions played a big part? Seems to me that more testing/corroboration is in order before drawing a conclusion here and I sympathise with D3's response in the comments - all IMHO. But again I appreciate the follow-up.
I agree. My client said it looked good for about 3-4 weeks, but no major driving changes like off-roading, but that may not mean anything, and I’m pretty sure there’s no extreme driving conditions, he lives in a semi-rural area, but all paved roads. Even hitting curbs that destroy rims, it would ha4m the tire coating too, but we would still see some coating left, if wouldn’t be entirely gone. I am going to try again on a different vehicle, probably my wife’s car so I can personally monitor the coatings progress.
@@TurnerMobileDetailing Thanks man, good to know. If this is a worst-case scenario then 3-4 weeks is still a big step up from regular dressings I guess. Any further updates would be welcome, positive or not.
I’m going to give this guy the benefit of the doubt and assume the product was not applied correctly or that there were chemicals on the applied components which prevented the product from working, it’s either this or he’s lying, but again I’ll lean towards the former. I’ve used this stuff for years and in my experience the results have been the exact opposite. My tires look black, and I mean black for at least 6 months, and decent black for up to a year. In fact the decent black I referred to is so good that I ONLY reapply once a year. I stand by this product, watch other channels advertising it and pay attention to how they prep and apply it. When used correctly this product is unmatched in longevity and the overall quality that it provides.
I actually bought Blak. And I had totally opposite results. Maybe it’s the rubber compound on those. But I applied it to Toyo’s. They still look fantastic after 6 months.
I don't see what kind or error I could have made, my prep was meticulous , and you saw everything I did in the initial video, but I will give the Gloz and Blak another try.

Wow. I was really hoping to purchase blak for my tires.. :/
I’ll be doing a second test very soon. Stay tuned

There was a major error here with prep or in the following 6 weeks. I hope you will try again and remove or renew the video.

@@TurnerMobileDetailing Something happened over that 6 weeks. I have never seen the polymers/ceramic fail like that.

Damn those wheels are demolished.
The way those wheels have been curb rashed to death, maybe some driving lessons should have priority over detail videos.
