- Erica Campbell to release a powerful, relevant and meaningful new music video for her current song “Praying and Believing.” Directed by actress, activist Meagan Good, this stunning and jarring video was shot on location at a LA County Women's Jail and exposes the tragedies of incarceration and the social injustices facing our community. Erica vividly portrays a wrongly jailed woman, who finds healing through prayer. The video was created in partnership with the LIVE FREE Campaign, the largest faith based national network working with churches to respond to gun violence, mass incarceration and civic engagement. They organization works in over 20 cities with thousands of pastors and congregations to make peace and eliminate mass incarceration. “Praying and Believing” also features appearances by MC Lyte, Goo Goo Atkins, viral sensations Dani and Dannah Lockett, and Pastor Michael McBride, Director of the LIVE FREE Campaign.

This brought tears to my eyes. I was pulled over for an expired tag while homeless and living in my car. I was thrown to the ground and arrested. The officer turned it around and said I injured him! I have an assault with bodily injury and my car was towed with all my belongings in it! The case was dismissed but it’s still in my record and it has been impossible to get a job because I have that on my record and no transportation! It’s against the law to be poor but not bothering anyone. The world makes it so hard on people but those problems have helped me get a true prayer life and for that I am grateful! God loves me and He love you too!

currently homeless. been living in and out of my car for two years now. i got a speeding ticket i can't pay so now I have a warrant out for my arrest. so afraid. this system is all about keeping the poor down.
My Son served in the Army for 6yrs, did 12-months in Iraq (at 19) and he returned home with PTDS -- even served 2.5 years in prison after an angry altercation with someone. Each day forward has been a challenge but whenever I see a glimpse of who he really is, or can have a 15 minute fluent conversation with him -I am grateful...AND I'm still praying and believing for healing and restoration. 🙏🏾

I had tears in my eyes because my mom and her kids have went through this trail and tribulation of her being in jail for 9 years. she gets out next year and the impack she has made on individuals in jail while serving her time is a testament to her journey. Ministry and mentoring is her true calling.. i always make sure she knows that God put her thorough tests not only for her but the individuals around her in the collective that needed healing and awakening in that part of their life and hers.
I haven’t seen a quality story line in a music video like this in a long time. The little girls did such a great job acting as well! Love it!
