- With William Buick about to claim his first ever jockey's title, Sky Sports' David Craig visited the champion-elect at his home to discuss what it means to him and his family, and the journey that has got him to this point.

William has the to most important things you need as a top class jockey he is a great judge of pace and and no better man in a driving finish.
William Buick is honestly an insane jockey. Everyday he races he basically gets a double or a treble. Definitely a rider for winners, he draws out the best in horses I don't know how but what a jockey.
Please come to Japan again.

I don't quite get the champion jockey and champion trainer thing? And never really have, it's all about advantages, disadvantages and numbers, that said it still a nice title for a jockey and trainer to have, and Buick is definitely a very decent jockey without any doubt.
What don't you get ?
@@robertdelacy3434 I'm sure I've explored the before to you, I don't get what the point is, the champion jockey is the jockey who rides more winners, but that's because he's on more horse and usually better quality ones, the champion trainer is the one who wins more prizes money, usually because he has better horse, it's not really a competition as sort, I don't get why it's important or what all the fuss is about?

But I guess it's possible if you are prepared to put in the shifts it could be possible, but it's still meaningless, as I said it's a nice title to have but nothing else, racing to me is about witnessing great accomplishments on the track, I'm not trying to be disrespectful to Buick who I think comes over as a likeable person and is a good jockey who has worked for his success, I'm glad he's got the title.

I've followed William since he came to John Gosden and he has been my jockey that I enjoyed watching and now I am very proud that he will be soon crown CHAMPION JOCKEY OF 2022. Well done William!
