This piece is absolutely beautiful. I love the blues and greens and it reminds me of an ocean diving cave. Your instructions are so easily to follow. Thank you.
Thank you Geralda, I too thought it look like an underwater cave. Hope the video was helpful. So many times the paints underneath don't show but pulling the chain through them lets them come up.
First visit for me! I was enthralled how you went about doing this Shelby. It came out beautiful. Looks like an entrance to a deep cave. The colors are beautiful together! Love it! Thank you! 😊🐇💗
Glad that you found the video helpful. So many times a pour is just lack luster so to speak and colors that you know are there are underneath. Using the chain is a great way to bring them up. It doesn't take a bit of practice.
I am so excited that you are making more videos. I have not found my style yet. But I love yours. Your work is so beautiful. Keep them coming, Shelby! You are a great inspiration.
Exquisite! Your art is 100% delightful!! So glad I found you 💜 Thank you for taping the video in real time (& going slowly) where the actual chain pull can be seen in all its technical glory😊 Truly a great way to finish a pour that needed something else added. I just happen to have a few pours that didn’t quite make the cut but I couldn’t scrape them, so they sit. I’m thinking once I get the hang of pulling the chains, I can possibly go back & revive them. 🤔 Thanks for sharing your beautiful art and your talents! Happy painting 🎨🎨✌️✌️✌️
Glad to know that the video was helpful. I don't do many as they are time consuming to edit. The main thing to remember is to pour off a good bit of the paint, otherwise when you do the chain pull it will not hold it's shape. I have found it to be a great way to reveal colors that are buried under other colors. It really just takes practice and more practice. Thank you for the kind encouraging words. Good luck, I am happy to answer any questions you might have.
I ordered long lengths from Amazon and cut to various lengths. Much cheaper that way and it is nice to have plenty of chains. Then you don’t have to stop and wash the chain between each pull. I have size 10, 6 & 4, stainless steel ball chains. One of my videos has a link to Amazon.
I just started pouring about 11 months ago and only recently posted any videos because of the requests for them. Making videos isn't really my thing but the technique is a little hard to describe especially when pulling a pour that didn't start out to be a chain pull. Thank you for the encouragement.
Beautiful. I love the colors you have chosen. I want to try this technique. Can you buy the chain at Home Depot or Menards? Thank you for sharing. You are an inspiration. Elaine
@@shelbyprice7081 I think I will try it. Here are a couple of my string pulls. th-cam.com/video/xsjeLEo_vlw/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/8G3dyKoApp0/w-d-xo.html
Your chain technique is beautiful and unique! What a great way to add to a pour that doesn't quite seem finished. About the photo paper that you used, did it curl as the paint dried? Do you frame your finished work behind glass?
So creative. Awesome Shelby
Thank you Patty, hope you will give it a try!
Stunning!!
Absolutely Beautiful!

I am learning a lot from you. I am very encouraged and grateful.

Beautiful! Can u do this on wood and seal it?
Certainly any thing you pour on can be enhanced by using the chains. I even use Canon photo paper.
I absolutely love this shelby, thankyou for the inspiration
Thank you Cheryl, hope you will have success when you try it.
Love love love it!

They probably have the chains in the department with blinds. I got mine on Amazon 25' of the #6 and cut into lengths.
Wow.
Thank you for watching. The technique is a lot of fun to do. Hope you give it a try!

No curling what so ever! I have matted and framed some others I have mounted to foam board and resin coated.

Nice work
Thank you
R u using a foam board to pour on? Does it dry without warping?
I was pouring on photo paper that may have had a piece of foam board as a backer to support the paper.
