DIY Installing Fog lights on my Corolla Hatchback SE 2019

- Hey guys! Welcome to my first TH-cam video. In this video, I demonstrated how to install fog lights on the Toyota Corolla Hatchback 2019. I did some extensive research about the wiring because I am not a professional at it. I’ve watched other TH-cam videos on how-to’s regarding the wiring and taking out the front bumper of the car. I highly suggest that you watch how to tap power on fuse boxes and make sure you have proper tools to do it. Finally set a day, depending on your skill level, this process might take a while like me, and have fun with your hatchback. :D

Nice vid bro! Looks like we wired similar. I may have to tap into the fuse box like you did. The fuse tap makes everything so much easier!

@@junelcsanchez Yea man, because there are times i forget to turn off my fogs lol. But the good thing is I can run fogs only while driving. But I dont do that often, rather just have it come on with the parking lights
@@FujiboHeavy yeah! Also if you tapped on the fuse, you won’t forget about it because it turns off the headlights when the car is off, also it works with putting your headlights on “auto” so it turns on and off. Or you can have it running with your drls
@@junelcsanchez Hey bro! Im in the process of switching to fuse tap! I saw that you used a lower amp fuse, is that required? Or should both fuses be 10a?
@@FujiboHeavy hello! From my understanding you can use a lower amp fuse as long as it’s not over the original fuse. Someone can correct me on that.
I think i'd just use a 2 or 3 inch hole saw on the stock spots it looks like they have the screw mounting surface.. you might be able to skip taking the bumper off
Great video. One question, can the fog lights be turned on with the headlights turned off?
Does that logo in the front messes with the radar sensors? 👀
It does actually, It’s a decal so I get warning on my dash saying to clean my Collision Sensor, but then it goes away 😄

Hey, do you remember what’s the awg of the red wire you used to extend the short one that goes through the firewall and into the fuse tap?
Hello! I used a 16 awg to extend the wire through the firewall. I hope this helps :D
@@junelcsanchez Thank you! I actually did this whole thing today on my 2021 Hatch. 16 awg is what I ended up going with as well. Very pleased with the results, the kit I bought from Amazon looks just like yours. The fuse tap is a winner for sure, I have peace of mind knowing that I didn’t have to splice into the factory wires. Could you tell me how many inches is the diameter of the fog lamps?
Yes! The diameter of the fog lamps are 2 1/4 inches.
do you have a photo of the exterior primary wire that is connected to the battery?
6:11 there is a fuse labeled fog it’s should have power it it too
can we do it without removing the front bumper/ grille?
Hello, you’ll have to take out the bumper. It makes it easier to install the fog lights and hiding your wires. I hope this helps 😄
