I have found some spectacular blind auditions. I'm in the UK and watched your audition thinking he could be good. I remember saying to my wife when you started to sing...... He has a good voice and tone..... then at the 123 123 drink part I said. Good power at the low notes/talking part and when you hit that first belting note it was WOW. Watched it on TV ...rewound it .... at least 17 times consecutively to watch again and again. Tears fell down "in a good way " just because of your perfect vocals and the "passion" (hate that commonly used word now but it does actually sum it up). I can't be bothered with the so called critics. Who probably can't even sing a note. And wouldn't even have the gumption to wail in a karaoke contest. Your audition was fantastic. That is raw emotion in his voice. You might wonder what separates good singers from great singers? Well for me, the great ones make you feel something when they sing. This dude has that in spades. What a performance.

I hadn't even heard the original before this (I'm not a big fan of Sia, not only do I think she's an overrated gimmick merchant but she's embarrassingly an almost 60 year-old who took ten years off her age and covers her face to appeal to young audiences) so when I heard the original I was really disappointed compared to this performance.
Oh, thank goodness! At last someone who was able to rise above this season's problems. Kevin's excellent microphone technique may have been his saving grace here, not to play down his extraordinary talent, but look at how he leans away at 29s and in again at 32s and note the effect that has. This is a guy who didn't have to be told to do that, and those two passages hit home equally because of his natural ease on stage and on mic. Technically this was a confident and artistic performance by a creative interpreter, and a consummate professional. I think we might just have seen the season winner!
This was THE standout performance of all music competitions ever for me... What a stunning voice and a thoroughly nice man. You have already won whatever the outcome.
I'll be waiting to see how the other contestants develop. I prefer to see someone without years of experience and training to grow than see an already polished performer on shows like these.

I have this Voice programme on in the background whilst doing something else usually in the kitchen. First time I've actually come in and sat down to watch somebody. Been in tears. I'm nearly 60, what am I doing crying over some soppy song?!! Totally moved. It's been emotional, as Vinnie Jones would say. There is something seriously wrong with the modern music business if a performer with talent like Mr Simm's can be ignored whilst there is such trash on the tele and radio and every other media format every day. He deserves a massive "Well Done" for having the faith in his own abilities and talent, as well as being humble to put himself up for possible failure too on a programme like The Voice, to want to pursue his career in music regardless of the past experiences in the business. This audition was the 2nd 4 chair turner this season, which shows the coaches are looking for amazing talent to coach. But this guy has got IT. What a fantastic song choice and arrangement. The use of light and shade, his amazing tone, his range, everything just pure crystal. My favourite audition so far
Kevin Simm's humility almost matches his extraordinary voice, I think that what ever happens this man has the possibility of a great (even greater) career, as a singer.. he needs the right songs and a catalog of them, but as a person I think he has won the nation.. good luck .. I have watched this extraoadinary audition at least 30 times and it still amazes me. I never ever thought Kevin Simm could sing LIKE THAT!!! It has to be one of the greatest vocals I have ever heard, especially from a man. This cover is outstanding and beats the original. He is extremely likeable, humble, with a lovely family. He absolutely deserves this chance to make it on his own and, given the hugely positive reaction and, with the right support and songs, he will do wonders. A voice like his deserves to be heard all over the world and fully appreciated. Kevin - you are fantastic - keep your positive approach.
