It's just breathtaking every way you look on that beautiful island 😍! We've only been to Koh Samui once and that was only to catch a flight to Bangkok since flights in Surat Thani were shut down. But we've seen so many videos, many from our friends haha, and it looks like another fun place to visit someday! Yeah, to go through multiple days of a trip without being able to truly appreciate what you're seeing or doing is no way to do it 😩 So we're just glad we found them and were able to carry on!! Hey Cheaky! 👋🏾 We took a bus (500 baht per person) from Mo Chit bus terminal here in Bangkok to a little “station” in Trat where there are songthaew (trucks with open back seating - 150 baht per person) which takes you to the pier where you catch a ferry to the island. The cost of the ferry is included in your ticket.

The **unknown** island of Koh Chang??? We were there a couple of months ago. There are tons of vlogs about the island. Literally millions of people have been there to visit before you. It's pretty well known 🙄🙄🙄
@@proudlynomadic do people read the description on these things? Chang is fun. We had our bikes but some big hills. The abandoned ghost ship resort is fun. The Greek restaurant is awesome. The hiking is pretty challenging. Didn't do any diving or snorkeling as it was only about 5 days, but fun to explore.

@@proudlynomadic we paid a local guide 1500 baht each to hike from the National Park on the south end of the east coast to the top of the second highest peak. It was pretty tough and steep and there isn't much of a path, but there is a nice waterfall and pool at the end. If you are SUPER adventurous some guy has a blog page about hiking across the unfinished loop road which looked fun (compass and a bit of nous required) and he got to an almost inaccessible beach. Good vlog btw. Most couples vlogs are so nauseatingly twee and basically unwatchable (Shev and Dev, one pack Wanderers etc etc etc) and they seem *obsessed* with street food for some reason, so great to see something different! 🕺🙏

That sounds incredible though and we absolutely will go on a hike the next time we go. And thank you for the compliment. Jose and I actually were in the process of filming a food video BUT only because we've never had any of these certain things and just wanted to share our experience. However, we both are not food vloggers nor do we ever want to be. In fact we are the most boring basic people when it comes to food. We find things we like and stick to them 🤣. We don't know any fancy jargon or like to pretend we know a d@mn thing other than if its good or not. Again, if it's good we'll post if its crap we will not. It will 99.9999% a one off video (as in never again lol). Good vlog btw. Most couples vlogs are so nauseatingly twee and basically unwatchable (Shev and Dev, one pack Wanderers etc etc etc) and they seem *obsessed* with street food for some reason, so great to see something different! 🕺🙏
@@stangoodvibes Ahhh, we heard that a guide was necessary but we didn't end up hiking! If you don't mind me asking for another question...how long did the hike take you?? That sounds incredible though and we absolutely will go on a hike the next time we go.
And thank you for the compliment. Jose and I actually were in the process of filming a food video BUT only because we've never had any of these certain things and just wanted to share our experience. However, we both are not food vloggers nor do we ever want to be. In fact we are the most boring basic people when it comes to food. We find things we like and stick to them 🤣. We don't know any fancy jargon or like to pretend we know a d@mn thing other than if its good or not. Again, if it's good we'll post if its crap we will not. It will 99.9999% a one off video (as in never again lol). However, we completely hear where you are coming from trust us (though Shev and Dev are personal friends who we genuinely adore but to each their own of course 🤗 ).
