Okay, this is the first Flosstube I have seen of yours, but I am convinced we must be kindred spirits in cross stitch. I also love stitching from these older books and magazines. There are so many treasures in them. I really enjoyed seeing all your stash of books. Can't wait to watch your other videos!

I’m loving the stash parades. I love Donna Kooler designs. All of the giant flowers are gorgeous. And the nature designs. ❤️ Like that frog/toad!!!

I know what you mean by wanting to learn all the crafts. I am smitten by Jacobean style crewel embroidery, and I WILL learn it one day! I've tried learning the Trish Burr style of needlepainting, but it's so hard when you're a novice and comparing yourself to a true artist, so I got discouraged. I've had lots of these books on my wishlist for a long time, so thanks for the flip throughs! I'm a sucker for those big floral designs too. The pansy stitcher was Kay's Cross Stitch, but now she's super into knitting and goes by Kayenta Jane, just fyi. Looking forward to your next stash parade. Happy stitching! ~Angela

I have loved all your stash flosstubes, they are so much fun! I'll have to check out thriftbooks. on your last one, I totally cracked up over your sunflower patterns and the lady wearing a cardigan with a sunflower on it. I have that!!! it was my mom's and she had stitched it on a sweatshirt style cardigan. I now have it and yes I wear it when it's chilly.

Had to pause right at the beginning to search for the dilly dally. It’s a must! Lol

Isn’t it adorable? I’m glad to see I have friends who are dilly dally-ers. 😉

There are some treasures in those books. Been loving your stash dive videos. You should have been wearing a Laura Ashley dress when you did the first video (joke)😁! I have a leaflet of those flower designs with the dewdrops by Barbara Baatz (I think). Another possible resource for the books would be the local library. I'm coming to realize that I am spending more time watching flosstube and collecting than stitching! Take care and happy stitching.

That’s too funny! I loved Laura Ashley and had a few of her dresses. The only problem is they might not fit over my shoulders. 😂 and I LOVED me some shoulder pads. 🤷🏻‍♀️ ( hey, they were supposed to make us look thinner!) The library is a great resource. I use it all the time for listening to audio books. Thanks for watching and I hope I gave you a giggle or two. 💓

@@e_craftingincolorado Wouldn't that be a hoot if shoulder pads came back into fashion like mom jeans and the peasant look. 🤣

I too love Durene Jones, her pieces are always bright and colourful. She has a Facebook group where she puts up a cute freebie each Friday. I've got a load saved ready for me to do. Woah I can't believe your temps we're only just getting into the 20°C's some days, I don't think we're going to have a very good summer this year

Yes, I’m in that FB group. She’s very generous with some of her freebies. Hope you stay cool! ☀️🕶🌻

Gorgeous patterns - I have a couple of those books as well, but now I have a whole bunch more on my wish list after watching your parade!! 😍 I love seeing and hearing about which patterns you like and why you like them so much, with your dreams and plans for what you would do with them when done. 💕 I’d love to see you do the same with your HAED and full coverage charts!

  • @thekeystonestitcher

I have, or had, so many of the books you have. I still want to stitch that sampler on the cover of Americas best Cross Stitch but nothing else in there calls to me either. I started it a while back but hated my fabric so need to restart it. The chart is a pain to read. I love the water droplets on many of those flowers in Donna Koolers Flowers. Yes, you got my channel right.

You should pick one and stitch in unexpected moments

That’s a good idea! I just need to buckle down and do it.
