Hey Horse Lovers! It’s time to shed out the foals and spend some time with them. I can’t wait to show you how their coats are changing and talk to you about my foal training methods. Wait till you see how much Ariel has transformed! NEW Lipsticks, Blush, Bronzer, & Bitless Bridles: thespiritedhorseboutique.com/
Shae, I have been learning & having so much fun with you regarding horses. Tfsharing~☆♡☆ Esmeralda looks awesome. Ariel ~ too! I have never seen a horse like her. So funny your rabbit joke, all that fur🌸🐇🏵🐇🌸
Omg Ariel is going to look so pretty once she's fully shed out! Not that she isn't already by the way and Ezzie looks huge! She must be bigger than 13.2 now, I'll bet she'll be a carbon copy of Belle! Both super cute and really sweet babies ❤
@@mousiebrown1747 Thats a good idea. I do that with my Sheprador (German Shepherd/Golden Lab mix) in my backyard. She’s been blowing her coat so there’s PLENTY for the birds! 😊❤
I have two corgis and I do the same, comb/ brush and then put the hair out on the pine tree branches. The bird fight over it!! I also brush my 2cats and do the same thing. Yes the birds take the cat hair too!
Ariel is the way she is purely because of you. You won her trust, you've worked with her consistently. You have never given her a reason to be afraid or worried. And you get the reward of an almost yearling who wants to be near you. You've done wonderful things with both fillies. ❤
Wow. With their coats now they look almost like twins. I can’t believe the colors changed so much. I can’t believe how Ariel transformed right before my eyes. Best party trick ever. ❤
It's so nice to see Ariel come out of her shell, seek attention and learn to be a horse. Ezzie is such a sweetheart. No patience, but she will learn. Both are so beautiful. Your loving care brings out their best. Thanks for sharing!
I love both your foals. It is wonderful watching them change as they grow. Buying Ariel for Ezzie’s companion was a thoughtful, loving idea that has worked out splendidly. Ariel has really blossomed and is becoming quite the loving fille. Fabulous work on your part, Shae. Ezzie, of course is fabulous, and how could she be otherwise, with Queen Belle as her dame. I love watching them shed, grow, and learn new things. Thanks for sharing your foals with us. I wouldn’t know a thing about very young horses without you, Shae. You certainly are appreciated.
The first thing I noticed when you started the video was the confidence in Ariel. That was long before you said anything about it. That's how apparent it is. I cannot believe the color change, either. She looks nothing like the horse you brought home. You alone are responsible for her personality change. She came from a really rough beginning and landed in the arms of a loving, caring owner. This is what kindness, attention, affection and so much more do to the psyche. She loves you and who could miss how she demonstrates it?! What a rewarding experience that must be for you. ❤❤❤ As for Esmeralda. She can't help it that she is a spoiled and super secure baby. 😊 If you could even use the word spoiled, when loved and adored are more applicable.
I have 9 children-seven who are adopted. My youngest came out of a severely abusive home. Because he was much younger than others, all of us gave him a lot of attention and love. When he was about 6 (he came to us under protective custody at 19 months old), someone mentioned that he was very spoiled. He piped up and very manner of factly said, “I’m not spoiled at all, I’m just pleasantly pampered!”! He couldn’t have said it more perfectly 🤗❣️ That is what I would say about Shea’s beautiful horses. Her horses have loyalty , respect, trust, and love and affection for her 🥹🫠❣️
Hi Shae ❤❤❤❤ One of my FAVORITE things about you as an equestrian is how SAFETY CONSCIOUS you are for both the students and the horses. Helmets and vests and proper footwear. The tying with twine and neck issue being explained. Why no other horses in the paddock while you groom the foals; the foals near each other but not so close that they can touch (maybe even kick at) each other. You are always teaching us and the horses and students. Your viewers who are new equestrians and those hoping to buy a horse of their own must be very grateful for everything they learn from you. I just love your teaching methods for horses and students; you are so thorough. Now about all those dead rabbits by the pasture; did a fox get in the rabbit hutch?😮😢😂
I thought my eyes were playing tricks but you are 100% correct! Those little girls smile when Miss Shae kisses their noses. Especially the times they ask for it.
It was so precious seeing them follow you and seek attention. I don’t think any other equestrian shows their relationship with their horses in that way. It’s mostly just training.
Ariel's color is outstanding! That red head and legs with the whiter body. Gorgeous! Ezzy always looks great too! Love how Ariel comes to you and follows you around. What a change in her demeanor. Great job Shea!
Two precious 'HAMS'! Ariel, her personality is really opening up so sweet. The fruits of your loving labor can be seen in each and every horse. Thanks for sharing your journey with us! ❤❤
They are so cute how they follow you around everywhere. Can't get over the difference in Ariel's color. It is such a magical time to have two babies that are both so sweet and beautiful....enjoy every minute!
Wow I can’t believe all that fluff on Ariel! Looked like a sheared sheep! The foals have similar colors except for Ariel’s Bay head! She has really lightened up lately! They are both beautiful! Love them!❤️🐎🐎
Woman of the house. Working with the foals was always my favorite part of horse life. I miss my horse time but sadly my body won`t let me do so many of the things I love doing. I started my horse life at the age of 7 on a bay palomino Shetland pony. Her name was Peppermint. We were the best of friends.
I see you as the very best kindergarten teacher for these foals. You show love and kindness ALWAYS and reward their curiosity with sweet words of praise. What young ones wouldn't love you and just absorb every lesson? As they learn the basics they will want more and more of the love lessons and adventure you show them. Bless you for ALL the safety measures you take with these babies. And we all need refreshers on the "why's". I will look forward to Ariel surprising us every year with her color differences. Ariel was a completely WILD horse when you found her. You have gentled and tamed her with your expert ways. It shows!
I’m happy to see the foals developing so well. I wonder if Ariel’s blossoming because Belle isn’t mothering Ezzy, and Beauty seems to like Ariel. Can’t tell what the herd dynamics are by watching videos I guess! It’s nice to see underdog Ariel becoming so sweet and kind. Great job with your horses!
@@bethewalt7385What a silly thing to nitpick. Shae herself spells it Ezzy because it’s just a shortened form. “Essy” would be spoken differently since it’s essentially a nickname based on how “Esmerelda” is spoken (i.e “Ezz-merelda” in an American accent). It’s like nitpicking Bill being short for William because “no B’s there 😂”.
I am so in love with this program. Im from Manitoba Canada. So excited to have a Prairie Girl in your care. We are made of tough stuff. Our Snow and most ice has FINALLY melted. Ariel is really coming out of her shy shell. She was so young when you got her. You have done so amazing with her.
I really love Ariel. She is such a pretty baby and is going to be such a striking adult. She reminds me of some of the smaller American Brabant cross riding horses I have seen. Her bay head and eyes are wonderful along with the dark stockings. She should be built for whatever style of riding you choose for her. The fact that you bring your horses along slowly makes all the difference in the world for them.
So nice to see the babies. The change in Ariel's color is amazing! Ezzy is growing up so fast! Her attention span seems to be longet too. Nice to see both of their manes are growing. I learn so much from you, Shae. Thank you!😊
Ezzy always reminds me of a toddler going through their naughty 2s. Its nice to see Ariel acting the same as her little sister, it shows how much both babies love and more important trust their human. Xx
Shae, whoever works with Ezzy and Ariel in the future is going to be so thrilled that you taught them proper ground etiquette. Farriers and veterinarians will sing your praises and bow down before you. Some people just don’t do that and it’s SUPER IMPORTANT!! All of your horses are so well behaved because you’ve worked so hard at teaching them how to be good citizens!! Awesome video!! 💛
Those babies are so well behaved , Ariel is so good, from a baby with no handling to this really confident little filly, and Ezzy, she is such a princess... Did anyone catch the sad news about Queen Uniek I was stunned and shocked and Poor Yvonne x
I absolutely love Ariels colour...and yes poor Yvonne...I remember when her followers pitched in to help her buy Uneik...so sad and something no one saw coming
Yes, it was so sudden and very sad. It goes with owning an caring for pet's and livestock. Like us, we never know when our last day will be. I am glad she has Unique's foal, that is a blessing for Yvonne.
Yes, I found.out a couple of days ago and was shocked and of course saddened. I never knew Freisians are prone to stomach ruptures due to inbreeding. I feel terrible for Yvonne, she's had a rough go for a while now. So it's wonderful to see these youngsters so happy and full of life - a true testament to the goodness.of Shae!
I used to love watching wee birds pick up beaks full of fluff to line their nests with. I used to think that those baby birds are going to be soooooo warm❤❤
Shae, I love how you explain everything. You are such a great teacher of how and why you handle your horses❤❤ Love this video. The foals are your babies.❤❤
I can’t believe the color change in Ariel !! It will be so interesting to watch both of them grow and change. Thank you for letting us come along on the journey.
I raised 2 colt foals 55 yrs ago and only had books to learn from. Now I wish I could do it over again with video help from Shae. My boys were a white/red leopard Appaloosa and a doeskin/white blanket Appaloosa. When they shed out the first year I worried( as a 12 yr.old) that they were sick or going to die because of the massive hair loss! My boys, how I miss them.
I take my foals for short walks around the neighborhood and use hay pellets as a treat for calm reactions to cars, dogs, and bikes that we stand and watch. They get used to what I call the stuff of life. The walks get longer - the foal listening to the commands; walk/whoa. They rely on me for confidence. After they are yearlings we begin ground driving in the arena with the halter. Later we ground drive in the yard and as they become confident of being in the lead, we start going around the neighborhood. It's so fun! When they are two I ground drive them in a lightweight synthetic English saddle using the stirrups for the long reins to go through as we travel around the neighborhood, always giving pellets for continued calm reactions to people, cars, motorcycles, etc. We step this up by putting a life-sized stuffed human dummy on them. We then go for our walks or ground driving with the dummy. Of course, every piece of equipment and the dummy they get to touch, smell, and are given a pellet when introduced to them. I touch them with the equipment also and they get a hay pellet. They look forward to seeing the equipment because it means fun, affection, and pellets.
@@rebeccarothfuss-ym3gs Thanks! Some of the foals I buy are untrained. Each thing I do is one step at a time. If I want to tie plastic bags to my foal's halter or surcingle when we go for a walk, I wad up the bag and stand close to the haltered foal that I am holding with a loose lead rope. I place it on my head or let them see me touch it with my face. They smell it while it is on me and realize I am relaxed and happy with the bag. I give them a pellet. If they touch the bag, I say TOUCH and then touch their neck with it saying TOUCH, until I can rub them all over with a bag. I give pellets as I touch their side then to the back and give a pellet. Then to the other side and I give a pellet. I taught my APHA filly to pick up a bag with her teeth and give it to me for a pellet. I used to have adult horses (that I didn't train) who would spook at a bag out in the brush. The horses I train go toward the bags because they know they will get a pellet. My foals learn to drag plastic plant pots, plastic bags, billowing garbage bags, and tarps, all in one walk just for pellets. People think I'm nuts, but my horses are happy, and well-adjusted in the human world of STUFF.
🐴 MOTHER'S TOUCH 🐴 Your babies are a reflection on you! How they just love being near you just speaks in Volumes. They are Beauties in their own right. It's a Privilege to watch and learn from you Shae. You have tha Mother's Touch with all your horse's.🏇
Each time I watch a video of you interacting with these precious goals just makes my heart flutter!! I just want to hug and scratch them myself! They love you so much - it’s so obvious! That is a testament of your love & care for your horses. Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing your herd with us! So lovely!!❤
It is such a treat to see how big and strong and tall these fillies are becoming. They are beautiful young horses, full of joy, affection and happy health! I agree with you about your timetable and feelings, Shae, regarding the foals’ interaction with Lumiere. He is too big and strong for them to handle a recently gelded stallion. I worry for Bagheera too bc she is a senior and lightweight compared to him. I know she can handle herself with all the other horses, but I wouldn’t want the foals or Bagheera to be a focus of Lumiere’s attention at this stage. Another 6 months maybe. However, I also agree, in about another month or so Belle can probably be in the same area as Ezzy. I think you are doing a fabulous job with all the horses and your action plans, timetable, training sessions and all the other interaction and attention you will be giving them is working out very well! Kudos to you, Shae, and Kyle for all your hard work and sharing with so many fans and friends and horse lovers in general! Peace, Love and Blessings! ☮️💟🙏♥️♥️
It's amazing to see all the white in Ariel's coat, she has changed so much. They both liked being brushed and made a fuss of, and were so good about being tied up. So much fur came off Ariel, Ezzy is saying" will you come and do me now mum". They are so cute and are getting really big.😊🤗☺
The girls are getting so big...& both are bonded to each other...& Shea! Arial has changed so much from her 1st days at the farm....Shea has done a phenomenal job with socializing her...Kudos! What truly charming horses they both are becoming!😊❤👍Outstanding!
There is so much to know about horses. As a girl I really wanted a horse but now it’s beyond my age and means so you are my only opportunity to see what it’s all about.
@@susanjolliff5356 Hi Susan and Terry, is it possible that you could have some form of horse time/satisfaction by volunteering at one of those horse therapy stables for disabled children and adults? I know the therapy stables around my area are always in need of volunteers for grooming, leading horses and walking beside the riders, tacking up and removing tack, cleaning stalls, sometimes even help in the office (although that wouldn't be quite the same as actually helping with the horses, LOL). I have the same issue. Too old now and never had the funds to own and properly care for a horse when I was younger. Years ago though I had a friend in my church who owned horses and stabled horses for others; and she worked full time as well. I asked her if I could come over in the evenings and learn how to groom a horse and then come once or twice a week and help by grooming a horse. She was thrilled, I was elated! I was a single mom of two teenagers at the time and it turned out to be my "mental health therapy" as I found it so relaxing to groom the horses and enjoyed the affection they gave me in turn. Best wishes to you both.❤😊
I feel the same! Always loving horses, mostly only able to dream, now I am aged and invalid, but still dream and remember what is was like to brush a horse, feel their warm fuzzy skin, look at their warm beautiful eyes on a sunny day outside. Watching this video brings it all back to me, and I feel so good.
Wow, wow, wow! Ariel's coat changed to dramatically, and she looks beautiful! I love all the color changes! Essie is so beautiful, too! Thank you, Shae, for all you do to bring us your videos. It's certainly the highlight of my day whenever you post anything! Blessings!!
Aerial is gorgeous, total color change! They are both beautiful but Aerial is a totally different horse now. I must tell you that I bought 2 lipsticks and 1 chapstick. I love them!!! Once the lipstick is applied it stays…. I have worn the lipstick to a luncheon and after eating I didn’t see any need to reapply it. At the end of the day it was still as good as when I applied it! Great products!!!!! Blessings
Always so informative…balanced with loving care…fun to listen to & watch. T’was a lucky day when i found your channel. Can’t imagine even someone who isn’t a horse lover, wouldn’t enjoy your videos…💘

It was amazing to watch the girls get groomed ❤ They both did great and loved the way you payed attention to them🌹 Now Ariel is truly becoming a STAR with her personality and unusual coloring. And Ezzy is absolutely adorable and special and she knows it too ❤🐎
You got enough hair off of Ariel to make another horse. Ha!. Both are good looking foals. So glad they get along with each other. Happy trails to you and God bless.
That was so cute when you pulled the filming back and they both started butting up to each other. They look the same height, the same color. They are adorable. I’m just so glad they didn’t kick each other but I wasn’t expecting that to happen was just a little scared, but not really.

When they shed out the first year I worried( as a 12 yr.old) that they were sick or going to die because of the massive hair loss! My boys, how I miss them.
LOL grooming Ariel is like grooming my great pyrenees. The birds will love it.
Ariel had a social glow up! To see her seek out attention is such an enormous contrast to her fear from the early days.
Wow was Ariel shedding, love her coloring it is so unique. Ezzy looks like a full grown horse. These two make my day!
That was very interesting and I thought real smart as well.😊
@@rebeccarothfuss-ym3gs Thanks!
🐴 MOTHER'S TOUCH 🐴
Your babies are a reflection on you!
How they just love being near you just speaks in Volumes.
They are Beauties in their own right. It's a
Privilege to watch and learn from you Shae. You have tha Mother's Touch with all your horse's.🏇
Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
The girls are growing up. Beautiful 👍🩵✌️
The birds there should be happy with all that fur around.. they’ll be picking it up for their nests!! Perfect timing of course !! 🎉😅
They are so cute and are getting really big.😊🤗☺
honestly i love how horses are just sized-up cats, curious about everything and always ready for some good mischief? they're too cute!
The girls are getting so big...& both are bonded to each other...& Shea! Arial has changed so much from her 1st days at the farm....Shea has done a phenomenal job with socializing her...Kudos! What truly charming horses they both are becoming!😊❤👍Outstanding!
Ariel is turning into such a sweetie pie!! So wonderful to witness.
There is so much to know about horses. As a girl I really wanted a horse but now it’s beyond my age and means so you are my only opportunity to see what it’s all about.
This is the same for me.❤️ It’s still hard to let go of the dream of having a horse.💔
Blessings!!
You are so amazing with horses! The fillies are adorable and look so happy
We love what you and Kyle are doing. The horses are the best.
Such good girls! Yes Ariel has really come out of her shell and so beautiful! Esmerelda is also a beautiful girl.. lovely foals!❤
Blessings
Both babies are growing so fast! And their color changes will be so fun to watch! Have a nice weekend! 🤗
Always so informative…balanced with loving care…fun to listen to & watch. T’was a lucky day when i found your channel. Can’t imagine even someone who isn’t a horse lover, wouldn’t enjoy your videos…💘
They’re getting so big. I remember when Esmeralda was little she’s huge. It looks like she’s the same size as Mushu.
Airel is getting so light. She is beautiful ❤ I am thoroughly impressed by the amount of fur those Canadian horses have ! 😮 and rightly so, it's fluffing cold up there ! You have done amazing work with these two 😊❤
Foals always look different after they shed. Both are very beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow!!!! Mini snow storm around the foals. They are so BEAUTIFUL and LOVING ❤❤❤❤😊
Ariel's coloring is beautiful. Her strip is part of her lineage..I've seen it in many Canadian ponys..
Of course Ezzie is a beauty too.. I can't wait to see how they look when they're 3-4 years old..
Oh my gosh!!! Imagine it..😍🐴🐴
You truly are the horse whisper.. They all respond to you beautifully...

We love them haha they are so silly. And they have grown so so much!
Shae, I love how you are always safety conscious. Even when grooming, you think about the things that COULD happen because you're dealing with animals that can be unpredictable. Thank you for setting a good example.
I love how your filly’s always greet you! It just goes to show how amazing you are when you work with him and how much time on your truly spend to make them great animals and happy animals❤❤
They are the sweetest babies! ❤❤ They are almost cheek to cheek. Lol 😂
Wow, Ariel's color has changed so much! These two babies are magnificent.😍😍😍
It was amazing to watch the girls get groomed ❤ They both did great and loved the way you payed attention to
them🌹 Now Ariel is truly becoming a STAR with her personality and unusual coloring. And Ezzy is absolutely adorable and special and she knows it too ❤🐎
All that hair! What a gift for all the birdies building nests! 😊
They are both so beautiful and just loaded with personality ❤ I am loving watching them grow and change.
Ariel changed so much I thought I was looking at Ezzie!
They are both so gorgeous I could never decide between them. They look like sisters
I just love these two girls. Thank you for allowing us to share their journey Shae. 😊
Oh, man...that *has* to feel so much better!
They are strikingly beautiful. My goodness, they changed😊💝🩵
They both are so gorgeous! Love their colors!
Ezzy is getting so big ❤
Can they get any cuter?!
Oh my goodness!!!❤
Ariel is so affectionate, what a sweetheart.
The girls get more beautiful every day! Arial shed half another horse! Lots of nesting material for the birds!
You got enough hair off of Ariel to make another horse. Ha!. Both are good looking foals. So glad they get along with each other. Happy trails to you and God bless.
YES, THIS WAS FUN! They must feel good. Wow, Ariel so different and gorgeous. Thank you
They are SO gooney at that age!!! I love this age! Adorbs!!♥️☮️🙋♀️‼️
They’re just so darn cute and precious!!! I wish I could hug and kiss them! They did really well! You are so knowledgeable about horses!
I love Ariel's little squishy triangle head. ❤
The birds are going to make some comfy nests this year! 🐣🪺🪹
I can't believe the difference in Arial color.. she is amazing. So glad she came out of her shell. They love you so much...
WOW! Look how tall Ezzy is! They are both so adorable. Love them both!
I love the energy you have and the horses response to your energy, it just matches. Always look forward to your videos, thank you for what you do.
That was so cute when you pulled the filming back and they both started butting up to each other. They look the same height, the same color. They are adorable. I’m just so glad they didn’t kick each other but I wasn’t expecting that to happen was just a little scared, but not really.
That so so cute when they did that!
Oh my, those two young ladies bring my heart joy to think of them developing into classy fillies! My goodness, I can only imagine what it is like to be close to them.❤
