Update: Urban Outfitters RECHARGED my card & emailed me saying they were notified my item was shipped. Can they even do that? I thought they had to get permission to recharge your card? Kind of don’t know what to do bc I don’t really need both players but I just want the vinyl lmaooo.

Think Geek came out with a "Vintage mini-stereo" that I loved, I bought one, and it didn't even work. I thought it was way cool but was upset it didn't work like that one.

Just save up your money for a decent piece of hifi from NAD (M10 or M33 streamer) or new Linn DSM, decent speakers, turntable from Clearaudio, Pro-Ject, Mobile Fidelity, Rega, Linn,... It costs loads of money but will give you loads of pleasure for years. Check John Darko's channel for music gear recommendations (also hifi for beginners).
FYI Turntables with built in speakers will only be equip with highs and mids low range, no low ends. Why? Because the turntable's will pick up the vibrations from the bass through the needles and will cause it to feedback. You will have to hook them up to an external device like a powered speaker or a sound system with aux hook up for better quality.

The RSD Turntables were released early August, why? I have no idea. So they're based around RSD but they never released on one of the three RSD this year...crazy.
If the record is slipping on your turntable just put some rolled tape under the record. You could also cut a rubber mat to fit. There was nothing wrong with the player other than that.
@@OliviaRena I fix junk like this so one of these wouldn't be an issue for me. I've seen one on the techmoan channel and he just stuck some tape between the record and platter and it worked. You are lucky to have one that has an external speaker out jack where Techmoan's didn't.
@@coondogtheman anything relating to a turntable that needs tape doesn’t sound good to me or a fix, just sounds like the junk is a rip off & should’ve been executed better & not as a money grab.
@@durtygroove, No needle weight adjustment possible; so this is the actual problem.. (the needle weight is too high on the record!). I have the 2020 see-trough version, and I just added a mini magnet (ca2.5 grams) on the rear part on my tonearm, to adjust down the needleweight on the record, and Problem fixed!... So this is THE quick fix for those who get their mini Crosley with this problem... I have two friends with the mini-Crosley, and their players did not have this problem..
Berry, your problem could be (like I had): The Needle weight is to high on the record when you play the record, and there is no original needle weight adjustment possible on this player. So then you could try to do what I did: add some extra weight (2 grams or 3 grams etc...) on the rear part on the tonearm; just use a tape and add a little metal part etc, and then try to play the record with this extra weight on the rear part on the tonearm and listen if the sound is better, and if not better now ..try to add another gram or even 3, and maybe you get lucky...
I'm sorry to hear you had this awful experience & spent SO much =/ but I hate to say I'm honestly not surprised in the least that this is junk, after all its a "Crosley" + no help what-so-ever from "Urban Outfitters" as they seem to be all airheads. Remember to stay clear of junk Crosley/Victrola/all-in-one/suite-case etc "record players" folks & support (if you can) RSD & your local record stores! :)
Granted, these are junk and so are the suitcase players, but Crosley actually makes some decent turntables. Not high end audiophile stuff, but pretty good mid grade tables for people who don't have a grand to sink into audio gear.
@@OliviaRena I was exaggerating for effect but yes I know. I have an LP120X myself. I'm just saying, Crosley also has some some decent TTs at the mid-range level on par with anything AT has put out there. The Crosley C6 is a gorgeous deck. And I like the C200 as well.

Can you adjust the counter balance on the tone arm?

You don’t need a grand to get a good turntable or set up, an audio technica starts at around $115.
