I would not play those 3 inch records on a full size table with an elliptical stylus the angle is gonna be way off and could possibly damage the grooves i would use a conical stylus on a full sized turntable in the future i will make an attempt to play one of those on a technics sl-1100 with a concord cartridge with a conical stylus attached
Good collectors items. I bet they do lots of these in Japan where they often have stuff which is not marketed over here (Uk) & is for home market only. Keep up the intetesting videos.
Thank you.....oddly enough the 8ban was a flop in Japan and quickly discontinued - they found much better success in the US than expected which resulted in the other new players.
really cool looking little records and the mini record player to match. this seems to be a fun and novel idea, especially for record store day which they were probably trying to aim for. thanks for sharing this.
I was finally able to get a hold of a 3 inch record and i did play it back on my technics sl-1100a and it sounded okay but kinda neat i did get a sample video of it but if you want me to upload it just give the word
Crosley re-released the 8ban format as a record store day novelty and the public demand surprised even them and they went back and got more product to release.
That was definitely cool!!! Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
They recorded in stereo? I wonder the max time you can get on that?
Where can I buy this vinyls? I have the RSD 3 turntable
LIKE number 2. Woo-hoo! Those are really cool micro-turntables and records. :)

That's a good point.....
Dont think these are available in the uk,or the mini record players.its a shame.they look great.
These are super cute. I would go for the white Crosley case record player if I bought one.

I'm pretty sure that these Johnny Cash records are part of Friday's Black Friday Record Store Day. I don't know about the Post Malone. Take care...
Nothing wrong with having fun (of course), but I'm not sure I get the point of the 3" format. Why is this a thing?
Just because they are fun......they aren't trying to replace full sized vinyl.

@@Recordology I love fun novelty things like this 👍
I wouldn't buy it. But it's pretty Cool 👍👍👍👍
12 bucks for a small record with only one song?
I mean, most new records are about twice the price but have a full album on them.
Great
One of those pictures look like Jim Reeves instead of Johnny Cash
It sounds awful warbly
I want all the ones on your wall !! Where did you find them?
Thanks! Mostly thrift stores and antique stores......takes a while to find interesting records.
