    You really remember me at your age working with my Tmaxx. Is increible this platform still giving good times to younger generation. Im 35 and still running my tmaxxes:-)
    Problably you know but one of the cofusing things about the stock 2.5 + carbs is that the low speed needle move at the same time you turn the idle screw. My suggestion is try to play with both low speed needle and idle screw at the same time, you have to get the air ( idle screw) and low speed fuel mixture balanced to get a low idle and very good throttle response (Wheelies). Remember high speed needle have to be set first to then play with low neddle and idle screw. I alway set high speed needle depending of : engine response at the high end , amount of smoke out of the pipe and engine temp. Ones you have the carb properly balance you only have to open or close high speed needle depending on weather condition.

      Nice! Yeah i had my high set before i set my low and idle. Wanted to get it shifting before i did anything else. Appreciate the tips!!!

    Hey just wanted to say I've started to watch you lately and your doing great my only advice to you is only touch one needle at a time and I between adjustments you really need to clear out the motor do like 5 laps and then adjust again but good work man

    The Tmaxx 2.5 transmission had that glitchy response when it was idling at a specific rpm. To answer your question from a prior video.

    I was thinking that because I wanted a low idle because like you said you can everything and it still idles high

    I had the same issues with the Trx carb i installed the O.S. 11K and solved all the problems. I can adjust mixtures and it actually makes a difference in performance. Sometimes i cause the idle to still race when you let off but im mess around with the mixtures a bit more.

    Stock carb problem is it cant hold a tune and quality isn't as good as the losi most likely, but what also made a difference for me was glow plug itself i ordered some o.s lc4 and a colder plug to experiment with run quality and ohh my was there a difference and this with stock carb, something to think about along with losi carb which is on my list next after my servo's are replaced not a month old and steering servo went out smh, truck has been out 10yrs or more you would think this wouldn't be a problem within 1 month of owning it !!!

    Hey bro I have a question for you I have a T-Maxx 2.5 it is brand new I've only put one tank of gas through it when I push the throttle forward it like hesitates meaning like if it's jerking a little bit what is causing this

    • @GoFastRC
      @GoFastRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is normal. Its the clutches in the transmission that are grabbing. The truck uses a clutch system to go forward and backwards.

    I wonder if O.S 11K carburetor will fit the 2.5/ 2.5R i figure if it fits the 3.3 it should fit the 2.5 since both use the same carburetors.

      Its is a 2.5r engine. Its gotta blue cooling head and it makes a little more power. Idk if its true, but i do know the 2.5r is a good engine

  • @Bang_n_slang

    The Losi carbs really wake up the 3.3 BUT they are very poorly made. Best carb I would recommend is the os 11k or sts carb. It’s what I have on my Tmaxx. It’s also supercharged 🤪it’s a wheelie monster

    Get rid of that junky top fuel. Definitely see gains if you switch to a better fuel. Another mod you could do is put a 3.3 crank in that 2.5 and it’ll wake it up even more.
