- It was supposed to have been a debate between Mr Vegas and controversial pastor Gino Jennings at the YMCA in Kingston on Sunday afternoon. The debate was spawned by comments made by the American pastor last December about church women's' attire. The debate got ugly when Mr Vegas demanded that the viral video be played for the packed congregation.
With the things these people say against women in their songs, it is shocking that he has a problem with pastor Jennings' comment.
Two things can be wrong.

Vegas did not listen to the entire sermon. He chose from a buffet bar of what he wanted to hear not what Brother Gino was talking about. How women should and should not dress. But both was out of order to claim themselves men of God
Mr Vegas if you wanted to hear the truth you have to listen to the entire story so you can have the right understanding of what and how it was said and what was meant by the statement, the words of God is not meant to be argued against but it can be discussed properly and Pastor Jennings teachings is responsible and right on point.

This was Frustration to the core!! Vegas is 100% accurate in the context of this so called debate. Jennings manipulated scripture, changed from 'Bible' to the 'Word,' in an attempt to gain leverage. One minute he wanted order then bullied & tried to intimidate Vegas by constantly interrupting him in order to silence him & divert from the truth and his own faulty mistakes and misinterpretations. The Bible that was first mentioned by Jennings is the written text that DID NOT exist before the women. The Word that Jennings conveniently switched to is the LIVING GOD, that MOST CERTAINLY existed in the beginning. Jennings conveniently switched when he realized his own error and wanted to discredit Vegas.
Foremost, Jezebel's inherent titile was not given because of her sexual disposition. Jezebel was called whoredom or played the whore or was adulterous because of her Evil OPPOSITION or CONTRARY to the things of God Almighty. Man's relationship with God is often characterized in scripture to that of a marriage between a man and a women. Is there a reason that the pastor never does debates on neutral ground? He definitely makes some good points but I've noticed that he always seems to have home court advantage. If he went to debate somewhere that is not filled with his followers in a place that he doesn't have the last say then I think some of these debates might end differently.

I been a Vegas fan for years, head's high was the first album I had back in early 2000, but In all honesty he embarrassed himself on stage. I have seen the clip myself and it does sound harsh and judgemental, but he has completely removed the content from the context. That 3min clip is a small segment of a broader message (dressing modestly in the house of God), and to publicly challenge an individual on a topic which you are not well versed in is a foolish move. Your personal morals do not hold more value than God's word. This is not the first time Vegas has been outspoken and controversial when he only has one part of the story (Drake and Popcaan for example). I am still a fan, but you need to get your facts straight sir.

I personally watched the video of this pastor calling women whores who wear makeup and paint their nails. A whore is someone who has sex with many persons, so how does putting on makeup mean that you will be having sex with many people? Also, the song Vegas did about she's a hoe, that's a song from almost 20 years ago. Who hasn't done and said things that they regret 20 years ago? The fact that people believe that everyone is set in stone and cannot change is completely against what Christianity is supposed to be about, which is change and forgiveness. He's simply saying if you are coming into the temple of good have some reverence and dress appropriate when coming it's just not right to be dressing like you're going to a party when going to church. God bless you for sticking up for us women. it literally quotes in the bible that women to dress modesty and to carry themselves with a quiet and gentle spirit. it’s not forbidden to wear makeup or jewellery but instead mentioned to women to not prioritise this things as it doesn’t please God more than the conditions of your heart. the never once did he refer women as prostitutes . Even if Vegas could not quote bible verses that is ok. In a debate you must not dictate how your opponent responds. Furthermore why didn't the pastor allow the clip of him speaking to be played? I just do not think the pastor handled the matter well.

June Facey I absolutely agree with you. Now Vegas chose that approach and maybe it was foolish of him. But he asked for a clip to be played, a crucial part of his argument and it was not. That is not fair. Many say he was not prepared because of not having bible verses ok he did not have bible verses. I am simply saying that the pastor handled the matter in a bad way; he acted like a dictator.
