I love this game!! Only started playing it in the past couple of days and it appears to feature way more content nowadays, especially with all the mean robots that crush your presence.
Craziest thing about orbits, it really is pretty hard to hit the sun. You have to take away all the relative velocity of how fast the Earth is moving already, effectively you have to slow down to reach the Sun. It's more energy efficient to fly out to Pluto, slow down out there, and then head back in to the sun than to go there directly.
I enjoy this game, it's beautiful and so much fun to build large factories across half the planet because the closest resources are used for the basics already
I actually played a mod for factorio that introduced planets and stuff like this. It was pretty fun, but ended up getting to be a little too much for me to handle. This game looks like it probably balances that complexity a bit better. I'll have to pick it up sometime

Neptune is an Ice Giant. It's a type of Gaseous planet. If you tried to land in it, you'd fall into an endless atmosphere towards the solid core and get crushed to death by pressures close to that of a star.
