Skin colour is for me more of an excuse. Like you want to say that you won't date them because they are black, but actually it is because you find them ugly.
That's why I am dating a guy who is also from the same country/culture. Less explaining or even arguing. I really admire people who are willing to date others from a different culture or ethnicity, I imagine it takes a lot of patience to explain why you are feeling a certain way when your partner is having a hard time comprehending your reactions.

About the haircut, different girls will like different types of haircuts (but I think we all agree on on thing, there's the different hairstyle/cut and there's the "I haven't styled/cut my hair for a year"). So yeah, it all depends on what your dream girl is into, whether she likes classic gentleman, sportish, etc and you can adapt to fit into those categories, or find a girl who is into the category you are now :)

My husband is Korean and I am American (nationality). I didn't say that he was Asian and I am white (race). I was listing our nationalities in my first sentence. Therefore, I made no such statement implying that Americans are only white. I can only conclude that you made such a comment because you looked at our profile picture.

Great video! You requested a tip/suggestion and here's an important one. When dating someone of a different race, religion, region/country or culture NOBODY wants to invest their time, heart and soul into a relationship only to have that relationship shut down by the other person's parents or relatives.
If you are mature enough to get married then you need to be mature enough and have the confidence to stand up to your parents if they are being unreasonable and bigoted. And I'd like to think we live in a gender equal world but we don't yet, so especially if you are a man and want to be viewed as a head of a household, you need to be able to stand up to your parents. How can any woman who is going to bear your children have any respect for a guy who can't stand up to his own father or mother?
Families are important. Traditions are important but either you are an adult, ready to stand up on your own independently and begin a family or you are not. Don't propose to anyone or lead anyone into thinking about marriage if you aren't ready to be the head of a household.
If you have your life together and can stand on your own, then your family has a right to their opinion but that's all it is - an opinion. You have to be able to fight for your love and your right to marry who you want.
You are totally right, and if true love comes, race suddenly doesn't matter. But in the meantime, it's so much easier just to go with Chinese girls.

To my Asian brothers, part 2. We need to step up and interact with girls. My experience- My group of friends who saw many Asian girls dating other race, while we were single. So one day we had a long talk about it. So we decided that we are going to learn how to interact with women. We watch few videos and read some books on how to talk to women. In a few months all my friends have girlfriend. Not only did Asian girls love us, but non Asian girls too. We were all shock n surprised!!! We found out that Asian girls LOVE Asian guys a Lot. Its mainly about confidant n assertiveness. And be willing to take chances. I am sharing my experience to u guys because i know what an Asian men has to go through; the stereotype. But u can overcome it by watching videos n reading books. And u have to go out n practice it on girls. Learn to talk to girls in a comfortable and humorous way. Good luck brothers.

I'm from the Caribbean and I didn't know their was a difference in how you're supposed to look at someone and stereotype them based on race until I moved to the US. I was raised by my grandparents no less, I have white/ Hispanic/ Caribbean black in my cultural background, and I was raised playing alongside black and white kids. It's very uncomfortable, discouraging and hurful reading hate comments directing towards any racial group and I really don't get where all the hate and vitriol is coming from just because of someone's skin color and racial background. I hope we all just try to remember we are all human beings at the end of the day and treat each other better.

Just a couple centuries ago during the Industrial Revolution did this start to change into the thinner ideal we have today. But even then, some men still prefer chubby women. External norms do not determine everyone's true aesthetic sense.

If you do look at the sexual behaviour of women, they consider asian men to be of lower value. He was tall, super smart and popular because he was so nice. Before that, my best friend in elementary, she was from Asia and would always bring cultural things to school, like foreign coins. I am an Asian man living in America, I can tell you that's not really too true for Asian-Americans. Most Asian guys I know would love to date outside their race. But then again, they don't try very much as the media keeps telling them that most women prefer non-Asian men. In general, some of us just let the woman make the first move (no one likes to be rejected because of their race).
And as for Asian parents, many I know (including mine) would be perfectly fine with their son bringing home a non-Asian gal.

I school with both southern and Eastern Asians. from personal experience East Asians sincerely do not seem friendly I feel like I'll get slapped,cursed out or laughed at if I approached them. for south Asians...most of my Indian friends are very much comfortable with Indian girls and vice versa...Nepal and Sri Lankans are out there. But, obviously their are some very stunning and Attractive Asian men. Culturally we are taught not to bother people for no good reason. Sadly if you like Asian guys you will likely need to make the first move. We are kinda thick headed in that way.
