Toward the end of the concert Ozzy said " I give you all permission to do whatever the fu€k you want". We had floor seats and it looked like ants swarming toward us. There was no escape. Bodies packed like sardines instantly. This restricted pur breathing. The body heat combined with that caused people to pass out instantly. Ozzy saw what he had done within seconds and stopped the show. Stopped everything and ended the show. So...this guy is full of crap when he says that we just don't understand the artists. The artist is in control. Ozzy is an artist and controlled what he knew he messed up.

I did stage hand work for a minute and, most of the time, lots of staff is hired last minute and habdashedly. It does always sort of feel like a disaster. This went so south because the culture of the show was was on non cooperation and violence. If you pass out at virtually any EDM show, you're not going to get trampled unless the timing was just that bad. The festivals I go to people make sure everyone is ok because partying alone is dangerous.
Charlemagne is typically an extremely hard hitting interviewer. He is known to rip people apart. He speaks his mind, is quick to interrupt if someone is bullshitting, and in this situation would ask way harder questions and follow up questions to his dumb answers. This is not in any way shape or form how Charlemagne interviews! He has pre approved questions for sure!
He's on stage performing. Just because some people in the crowd are yelling for him to "Stop the show!" doesn't mean he knows whats going on nor should he stop just because some people in the crowd are yelling for him to do so.

He tends to frame his conversations with interviewees in a way that allows them to embody these values, and this conversation is a perfect example. I did stage hand work for a minute and, most of the time, lots of staff is hired last minute and habdashedly. It does always sort of feel like a disaster. This went so south because the culture of the show was was on non cooperation and violence. If you pass out at virtually any EDM show, you're not going to get trampled unless the timing was just that bad. The festivals I go to people make sure everyone is ok because partying alone is dangerous.
I got my first non union gig by saying "I'm not litigious" so, should tell you how this industry works down to it's bare bones.

Charlemagne is typically an extremely hard hitting interviewer. He is known to rip people apart. He speaks his mind, is quick to interrupt if someone is bullshitting, and in this situation would ask way harder questions and follow up questions to his dumb answers. This is not in any way shape or form how Charlemagne interviews! He has pre approved questions for sure!

He's on stage performing. Just because some people in the crowd are yelling for him to "Stop the show!" doesn't mean he knows whats going on nor should he stop just because some people in the crowd are yelling for him to do so.

He tends to frame his conversations with interviewees in a way that allows them to embody these values, and this conversation is a perfect example.
