Yes it is arrogant! He even said "no one is going to be a voice for these people, so I gotta step up". He is clearly a narcissitic pychopath. Narcissists are not able to show true emotions. It seems Travis is using social media as a barometer and that’s not always true. He needs to hire a crisis manager. Lastly, I don’t think this interview was for the people’s family who passed. It was to sway public opinion because no matter if you think he is to blame, you think he could’ve done something to help deescalate the situation.

My thought process, everyone involved should be held accountable. Everyone deserves a percentage of the Accountability pie in this tragedy especially the fans who allowed themselves to enter this primitive state where people died because of it.
You know Travis's camp is offering online therapy (ridiculous concept to begin with) that is "free" as long as you give your credit card info. People are getting charged for the "free" online therapy because they're not letting them cancel the subscription. Ariana Grande's camp did the same thing. They are literally profiting off of the misery caused by the tragedy they invoked!
And silence is not what’s best. It would’ve be easy to disappear and not speak on it. It took more courage to get behind a camera by himself and own it
Ish, emotions, in a situation like this, with financial repercussions in the hundreds of millions potentially, plus potential criminal liability, are almost irrelevant. He should never ever have said a word - every word will be dissected and used against him in court.. Terrible idea

And one more thing, you and many others want to bash Travis for not feeling remorse or wisdom or regret for what happened, again not going to fight you guys on that, but then you and many others say that it doesn't matter if Travis feels remorse or wisdom or regret because he didn't lose any loved ones, which is it? And that proves my point that it's damned if you do damned if you don't and again, and with all due respect, I'm tired of that crap!
@@terryknight5869 unfortunately it’s not about you or what you feel bruh.
@@terryknight5869 and I wish that my comment wasn’t so dismissive but you seem more disappointed that Travis can’t do anything redeemable than Travis being properly held accountable. It’s true, Travis can’t do anything that will give him a positive image here, but what do you make of his efforts that are clearly PR? What if you lost someone? What if it was your life gone? This isn’t a situation we can simply brush over
because of politics. Lives were lost and that needs to be respected.
@@bcwils801 By that logic it's not about how you feel either bruh, and I don't disagree with the fact that this is a very horrific, very disappointing, very sad thing that took place, and I don't disagree that the interview that Travis had was very insensitive and very PR, and I don't disagree that I hold my life and that of my family and friends to high regard, I made that very clear, but then again apparently I didn't, but I'm doing that now, and I was just saying that we want to condemn Travis for not being remorseful enough, as we should, but then we say that we don't care about or want his remorse, we can't have it both ways. And it's not just people condemning Travis for that piss poor interview, people are condemning him for the fact that he's talking, but if he didn't talk we would condemn him for that. Just saying.
Prayers go out to the people that lost their lives. People expect others to move in a way that not even themselves wouldn’t. If Travis didn’t say a word he would still get blamed. He is still human, as we are as well. Joe should understand that our intentions aren’t well read through action at times, especially with all that has encountered
I think he understood that, but his point of view is that even with that in mind you need to keep quiet and let some time pass. Taking blame is what is going to happen, whether you speak or not. There are people who have lost kids, it's not about you right now.

@@ljneztos472 You’re entitled to your opinion 🙏🏼. The purpose for my message is to acknowledge the victims that have been injured, as well as loss their lives (Rodolpho who was a friend of mine), while putting energy into giving the young brother advice so that this will never happen again to anyone, rather than wasting negative energy in a comment section to show “how much better we would’ve handled the situation”. No one is taking up for the young brother, as he knows now that he has made mistakes. God is the judge
Cuz it's his fault
Yes it is arrogant! He even said "no one is going to be a voice for these people, so I gotta step up". He is clearly a narcissitic pychopath. Narcissists are not able to show true emotions. Therefore, they express emotions that seem appropriate. They mimic what they think it should look like to feel empathy because they have none.
He’s a 21 year old kid who adults depend on for their economic well being, and young people look up to as their voice/ influence. What else would you expect?. Lawyers, executives, promoters, producers, engineers… all depending on him to make a living. Kids crying telling him that his music saved their life… how could you not be narcissistic. As a human being, you wanna say something to let people know how sorry you are, but as a business you know that 1 wrong word could ruin you financially. That’s gotta be a scary place to be.
@@OakCliffTX82 I think he is 30 and they are looking up to a total fake. His real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II and every aspect of his career is stolen from someone else. It is pathetic that is what they look up to.

That parting-line from Joe, at the VERY end:
...Chef kiss.................
I agree..Travis doing that interview was ego and arrogance. He wanted to make himself feel better about the tragedy and it just didnt give what he thought it would. And he definitely is not a public speaker whatsoever.
I loved the summarize Joe gave in the beginning.
Silence is what’s best 🙏🏽thank you Joe
Omg I couldn’t wait for Joe to speak On it!!
Idk what Travis should do or should’ve done. I just know if my family died I would see red and I would be out to get everybody.
That's because he most definitely could and should have avoided 8 people being crushed to death....
Everybody to blame but the ppl in the crowd hold the biggest responsibility. But that's just me.
Mah that's big facts bro but nobody ever mentions that. People had to trampled and push the other people ...
Travis could have said that he apologized and this will never happen again. I would want to hear the victims stories and celebrate them in this tragedy. This is not my moment it’s theirs.
Apparently he cant because it would be accepting blame and would get used in the court cases that are coming.
But he can't say "this will never happen again" because he's not in FULL control of that. He can put in place all the rules he wants ppl gone do whatever they feel like.
He doesn’t need to say that and he knows it since the media really swept the whole thing under the rug for him
😭😭😭😂”this interview was a fucking mess -Joe”😭😭😭
Joe is RIGHT! Anyone that has kids, when my kid does something majorly wrong. I dont want to look at him, for a period of time before I am able to come to terms with what has happened. I feel the same about Travis Scott. WE dont even want to look him right now. Too soon bruh, go away. Have several seats! Byeeeeeee!
How is it gonna be perfect if its genuine, and from the heart.
Bro ariana grande didn't even come out that soon shifting the blame 🤦🏾♂️ and she had it much much worse.. like she had back to back tragedy and still waited for the right time
Rip to the 22 who passed in England and the recent 8 who passed at astro
🚨 🚨 That boy said "you know" over 400 times. Naw dawg, we don't know so articulate yourself properly!!! Man of God? 🍃👀🍃 WHERE!!!!! In the concert where you were screaming "F him up!" trying to get other concert-goers to beat up another one? Doing that interview was full of ego and selfishness. He took no responsibility, pushed all the blame off, and legally, I understand he couldn't say the word "I'm sorry" but he showed NO EMPATHY!!!! He didn't answer any questions. He clearly is worried about himself and his bag. Not understanding that comes later. I DO NOT feel sorry for him because like Joe said, that 🤡 has been deleting mess we've already seen. The dude has a HISTORY and charges for inciting riots, abusing security, and just being a cold-hearted sicko (yeah sicko mode). I hope this drip that boi like a lime - he needs this hit. The diff w/ this and past concerts like Puff is that they didn't have a history of putting people at risk and trying to get people to rage and make the ground shake. That part! If Travis couldn’t get Oprah or Gayle he should’ve just waited.
I completely respect Joe Budden the interview was terrible just like Travis Scott he doesn't care about nobody but himself the man made a music video two weeks after with bodyguards all around him then he comes out with this interview a month-and-a-half later that let you know how much he really cares about it
"You better figure out what you built for before someone else do."
He should have never done the interview. His team is full of scared clowns to allow him to be seen in public right now.
The severity makes a huge a difference, I agree with Joe. Silence
Joe budden is unbearable. 🙄 I literally couldn’t be his friend. We’ll be arguing ALL the time. He’s he type that’s never wrong and always has to have the last word

Unbearable would imply that you can’t watch him. Weird because you’re here.
This interview is similar to the job interviews that u been in when u realize in mid-interview that u dont want the job anymore so u bs the answers.

The crazy part is they said Travis asked for charlamagne to interview him
Everyone in this society is flawed and makes mistakes. People because of online access now just attack other people in ridiculous manners when they make mistakes to detract from their own bs and play the holier than thou. There have been 10000s concerts w crazy mosh pits and stampedes. This was a tragic event and of course it is terrible but we need to focus more on healing than trying to just attack and blame people as if Travis intended for this to happen. A gazillion rockstars and other rappers have similar concerts including travis this one just went tragically wrong. Everyone in this society just waits for a chance to attack successful people to virtue signal and feel better about themselves grow tf up. I don’t even like Travis it’s called being a human and having empathy.
It's not arrogance, it's desperation.
Travis just cares about the money he is losing. He’s not a victim
There’s blame to go around….the crowd is part of it too. Way too many times I’ve seen people pushing forward and others pushing back when at concerts and club performances.
You. Blame the crowd .. do you realize that the music influences the environment. The music sets the tone.. it’s like going to a speed metal show and expect the crowd not to mosh in the mosh pit.its like being hypnotized
How can you blame a crowd of kids who are dumb enough to enjoy Travis Scott music, maybe blame the guy on stage watching people die left and right but doesn’t want anything to take attention off him
I bet joe hates the fact he’s gotta talk about charlamagne
I thought it was in poor taste as well. These were young people who passed away while coming to see you. He didn’t even address the families and the individuals like it was so inappropriate it was basically him trying to get the liability off of himself and he isn’t a good speaker honestly.
Kids died due to parental negligence!
On the other hand, I think Charlamagne did a pretty solid job on his part.

What's insensitive is that he got blame for the doing of thousands of reckless fans. Its hard not to feel he was targeted, because this has happened before with other artist, maybe not to this capacity. We are losing accountability as a society, its not hard to see fans were the cause of this horrific event. Knowing boundaries, setting limitations to ensure the well-being of others. It wasn't just Travis Scott's job... It was a job for all concert goers to ensure each others safety.
That Dumb pos told people to break into the show. He not only turned a blind eye he encouraged what happened!
The interview was embarrassing. He has to take accountability, no way about it.
Travis is a terrible speaker. He should’ve left this to his pr team.

I think it's clear what we saw that night nd it's clear what he said nd really said in that interview
So what part did the drugs people were taken play in this scenarios?
If he had waited they would have said he did an interview too late and if he did one soon like he did they'd say it was too soon so it was a lose lose situation

Silence can never be misquoted. He should've waited but he didn't. Everyparty is going to be liable in this situation. Joe on his budden shii.... Leave travis alone.
Travis shouldn’t have spoken about this situation until after the lawsuits were settled where he could speak freely without feeling like he would be held liable by apologizing. It wasn’t Travis’ intention but the interview came off tasteless, heartless. Seemed like he was more concerned with getting his point across instead of offering a sincere apology to everyone involved. Bad timing. Definitely not the move. If you don’t speak people can only assume how you feel. But once you open your mouth it becomes fact and there’s no turning back at this point 🤷🏾♀️

Man can we find the people who decided to continue trampling a kid? The fuck? You can’t tell that you suddenly are not dancing on solid ground? I don’t understand
It took more courage to get behind a camera by himself and own it
He didn’t own it though.
