In 1996 I was with a Japanese Film team as tour guide at Malakwal - Khushab and Khewra . They told that they are making steam locomotive films as they got info that steam engines operation will stop in 1996 . These are good memories. Anwar Shah

Electric locomotives can be seen but i came to know that electric overhead cables were removed due to frequent thefts.the law enforcement agencies should be very strict as our indian RPF or the railway protection forces have zero tolerance for it's properties. Only then can a nation prosper. Railway is the back bone of our country. The life line of the nation.proud to be a INDIAN RAILWAYS FAN.JAI HIND

@@preetpalsingh1596 no dear there is lot of things need to be done but conditions of the coaches and fares are affordable for everyone. Tracks conditions are improving and there is lot of things to enjoying. Lush green Medows, mountains, deserts and many more. Overall struggling for a better future and soon it will be.
India and Pakistan doesnt seem to havr much difference then. now India has changed a lot compared to Pakistan. i wish u could once more travel to India and Pak and repeat the same
Pakistan railways on its downfall since the day britshers left however they kept pace untill 80s as the lagacy was strong but now many coaches and locomotives have changed but it is not for better rail but for minister and officers sitting in the chair,no indigenous efforts someone bought cheap Chinese technicaly backward engines at higher prices , someone bought American engines at even higher prices the Chinese coaches are way smaller than old german coaches ant and the one made in Pakistan .but anyhow they are hauling millions of people. once every legislation assembly member board train for the session but now railway officer themselves travel by air on concession vouchers .the track is old can not afford speeds higher than 120 kph.sad story .thanks for this video I was in high school then 10th grader and had travelled a lot on those what we called black engines between Sargodha and Faisalabad UpTo Karachi. memories
Yes 80s mai lahore se khanewal tak electrification hua thaa, baad mai log copper wire kaat kaat kar le gaye, aur kabadi mai bech diye, har baar naye wire lagane ke baad wahi kaam hota raha, phir pak railway ne saare wire hata liye, aur poles bhi log naikal kar le gaye aur apne gharo ki chhat mai laga diye, ye kahani hai pak railway electrification ki😂😂😂

Seems to me compared to IR, PR had a greater variety of steam locomotives in operation toward the end of the steam era.
