It's not a presentation designed for use at range due to the nature of the large hookbait. However, up-to around 80 yards you shouldn't have a problem.
The rig all started with Mr Forrester. He showed it quite a few good friends in the industry and it was always kept quiet but the cats out the bag now, and this brilliant way to present worms is now out there for everyone!
With the right number of worms and the correct size foam/bait band tensioned correctly, you shouldn't have any problems with the worms staying on the rig. Unless your rigs are being played with by small fish of course. Tom's tip about using the rig with a helicopter setup is really beneficial to identify if this is happening.
@colin stephens No you got me wrong ,I was going on about him saying about having his arm twisted to show the same rig was on TH-cam months ago that's all , the tench lads have been doing mat shots of 30+lb carp for years on similar worm rigs its nothing new

A friend of mine showed me this rig about 5 years ago and that was shown to him by his mate who had a tuition with a big name Looks exactly the same

I tried this on my last trip in November but the worms just keep wriggling out
