Bağdat’tan dönen Sultan Murad, aldığı savaş yaralarıyla iyice takatten düşer. Hastalığı iyice ilerleyen Sultan Murad yatağa düşer. Sultan Murad’ın vaziyetinin kötü olduğunu öğrenen Kösem Sultan oğlunun başında bekler. Ana oğul hasta yatağında hesaplaşır.

The fact that the actress is Greek and also barely knew Turkish made this better. AND last but not least. Her name is also ANASTASIA

well that's how things worked back then, Sultan could not have only 1 wife, because he needed more kids as potential heirs to the throne. That is how harems worked. Everyone knew that Sultan should have 'guests" regularly for the sake of the Empire.

I really like the idea of these two together, but it gets on my nerves how he can be so emotionless while she's in such distress, all the while claiming he loves her. If he loves her and still doesn't let her go, why doesn't he at least do something about the way she's being treated? He's the Sultan, if he ordered everyone to treat her properly, they would have no choice but to obey, and then, maybe, she wouldn't so desperately want to leave.
The problem is everything is happening behind t\his back. He has no time to deal with Harem's issues all the time. Yes, he can order, put women will still feel resentment and jealousy towards the "chosen" girl. Ahmed can't be around Anastasia 24/7. At some point she has to stand up for herself.

Really sad that they replaced her. She was much mor suitable and better for the role. She got the characteristics over the character stands for like innocence, pure heart, fierceness ... the other actor is nice too but feels like all of the sudden she lost the characteristics the sultan fell in love with :((

Well Kosem changes drastically throughout seasons, In season 2, she has kids (who are pretty grown) she loses Ahmed, decides to keep it a secret, does a bunch of stuff I would not imagine an "innocent" girl do. Kosem actually becomes stronger for the sake of protecting her kids and their legacy. She becomes stoic, brave and listened by the army. I think it is great that they changed an actress, Beren Saat is far more experienced and loved by the Turkish people. She is an A-list actress and portrayed Kosem SULTAN well, not just a lovey concubine.
