    Can't wait for the flight reviews now ;)...Doha is such a cool airport to transit through.Nice to see you had the same transit experience I have had a few times there,no security and straight into the terminal.It just makes so much more sense this way

      @TravellerYT  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi Stu thanks for watching and liking our video :-D We also very much enjoy transiting through Doha Airport as it is modern, spacious and efficient. Also now that you only have to pass through security at your airport of origin (we are assuming that this applies to airports which have an approved level of Security - by the Qatar authorities) things are even easier. Have a good day :-D

    Dear Maro and Maxi! Thx for sharing your videos to us. Because of your videos about flying with Qatar Airways we do our next flights also with Qatar Airways from BER (28 km west to my hometown) to DOH and on to KUL for my 50 birthday. Hotel for 10 days vacation in KL is the Mandarin Oriental. best regards from southeast of Berlin to both of you! Enjoy your flights and vacations !

      Hi there Swen, thanks for watching and liking our video! It is so nice to hear that our videos helped you make a choice of which airline to fly with. The Qatar Airways service has gotten much better than on previous flights and we were happy flying with them. That said (as Maxi mentions in the Qatar Airways Tripreports) some of their aircraft have very limited legroom (for tall people) particularly their Boeing 787 Dreamliner, Maxi always feels squashed in that aircraft, Fantastic that you are spending your 50th in wonderful Kuala Lumpur, fantastic place to spend a Birthday Celebration. We have only heard good things about the Mandarin Oriental and that hotel brand is on the top of our list to try! Wishing you a fantastic journey and holiday and Happy 50th when the time comes (Maxi had his 50th last August). Greetings from Copenhagen - Maxi and Maro :-D

      Good morning Lynn! Thanks for watching our video and for taking the time to leave us a comment. Although we are finding it more and more difficult to reply to all comments we cannot tell our viewers enough times how much we appreciate the comments - we enjoy reading them all :-D We were so happy to "Dip our Feet" in Long-haul again, it felt really good and we so appreciated being able to do it again!! The next Long-haul (we expect/hope) will be towards the end of the year - hopefully masks will no longer be a requirement onboard then. This summer we will return to Parga, Greece for another wonderful 3 week stay and then we hope that in 2023, Thailand will be more open and back to normal. The Tripreports for these flights are on the way but first we will upload the Airport videos as these are probably of interest to most travelers passing through these airports in the near future. Thanks for the support you give our channel Lynn! Have a good Sunday. Kind Greetings from Copenhagen - Maxi and Maro :-D

    I also experienced the short layover last week in Doha, only 1 hour transit from Montreal to Jakarta. The gate to Jakarta was C10. Fortunately we could arrange to use the electric car to get to the C10 gate faster. I think it will be more helpful if the electric cars are easily accesible at the point of our entrance gate where the transit passengers are directed to go.

      Next month we will also have a 50 min transfer in Doha to Bali, which triggers my anxiety. Do you think its enough time to get to the gate?
      Do you have any tips or tricks please? How can you arrange for a "golf cart"?

    • @dewimulyati
      @dewimulyati ปีที่แล้ว

      @@flaviusherlicska1455
      First, you should know the distance between your entrance gate and the gate of departure to Bali. If it is far, then do not hesitate to ask the airport staffs to help you and allow you to use the "golf car". Usually they only allow elderly or passengers with special needs to take the car. If you bring children or likely difficult to walk fast/run, just tell them, and inform them you only have 50 minutes transit time. You can also use the airport train to go to your gate. However, according to my experience, you do not need to worry, even if you walk, you'll be able to reach the gate on time. Just make sure you do not go to toilets or get some drinks on the way to the gate. Use the toilet of the airplane before landing, instead.

      Hi there Amy! Thanks for watching and Liking our video and for taking the time to leave us a comment - we love reading comments from our viewers! Yes, it is a wonderful sight to one again see a proper "Hustle and Bustle" at the airport, when the masks are allowed to be taken off on flights and at the airports air travel will one again feel normal (pre-covid). Our next Long-haul will hopefully be towards the end of this year. We have already booked a 3rd trip to Parga in Greece as we have enjoyed it so much their during the past two summers. We expect that we will return to Thailand again next summer 2023 when things are hopefully completely back to normal there! Let us see what the future brings. Have a good Sunday! Good morning Kieron, thank you for watching our video and sorry for my (Maxi) late reply (real world work days have been busy). Doha Airport is modern and spacious and we find the Transfer process to be very efficient there, can recommend a Transfer through this airport. We are focusing on bringing the airport videos from this journey first and when they are up we will begin with the Tripreports, the reason for this is that we know other travelers will also be interested to know how the airport procedures are in these covid times. You are soon off to Parga, lovely for you both - we can imagine how much you are looking forward to that! We look forward to seeing a few pics when you are there! Almost weekend now, have a good day both of you! Kind Greetings from Copenhagen, Maxi and Maro :-D
