      Hyde is the best vocalist in Japan and im not even a Hyde (Haido) or l'arc en ciel fan. He just has the best voice "registry" or vocal range out there, its impossible not to recognize that

    Thank you so much! I wanted you to listen to Larc first so at least you could compare Hyde's natural vocals to what he sounds like now, so I hope this can help a little. This is a very important song to me, Larc en Ciel is the first jband I ever grew attached to they led me to the Japanese music scene and to find great bands like The Gazette. This is a song that helps me when I'm feeling very down. You can really feel the emotion in this track.
    Hyde's voice is amazing. His deep singing voice is what attracted me to the band in the first place. Like you said, many jbands sing in high tones and sometimes that can turn me off to a band, not always though. I'm very happy you liked the track I may request more Larc in the future if you're interested XD!

      😂 ah we didn't tell baldman that yoshiki San (X Japan drummer) and Hyde San are working on a new song. For the anime attack on Titan (a very popular anime in Japan )
      Also vamps (Hyde San second band) released 2 new songs and they collaborated with motionless in white before.

    L'arc has a special place in my musical shelf; especially as a kid staying up to Adult Swim to watch the original run of Full Metal Alchemist, that their song Ready Steady Go was the theme. That entire album (SMILE) has a lot of full listens from me on it.

  • @ScarletTsubasa
    @ScarletTsubasa 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I knew these guys before I even knew Dir en grey. I found them in 2002-2003 when I was about fourteen. I could not get enough of Hyde's voice. I was not really into any Japanese music until then, so L'Arc kind if opened the door to a whole world of music I would otherwise not have given the chance. I haven't really listened to them much in the last couple years, so this have me a wave of nostalgia.
    Hyde, aside from his solo stuff, also has a side band called VAMPS. It's interesting that he can do hard rock too. I really enjoy the song Replay

    ahh I'm happy you did this it's one of my favorite songs by Laruku!! There is seriously so much by them that I really love and I'm also very much a fan of his another project VAMPS. But another great songs by Laruku are Lost Heaven, Kasou, Drink it Down, good morning hide, and many more tbh I just listen to their discography sometimes to relax and make my day better.
    I'm not much of a fan of Hyde's solo work though, in my opinion he shines the most in Laruku and Vamps.

      Blame is a pretty old song. It came off their 2nd album Tierra in 1994, it's a nice track but different compared to their newer stuff. But Larc hasn't released an album since 2012 sadly :(

      Nivea-Dari Toliver yeah tetsuya, bassist and band leader has been taking time off to be with his family. He has two small kids now. But recently he did a 15th anniversary tour and released a new single thata a good sign for larc

    • @letzgameon
      @letzgameon 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kosse moore Yea, Tetsu did have a solo 15th anniversary live a bit ago in 2017 though and another live I think in 2016. But I think the hiatus is more due to Hyde's solo projects.

    • @kossemoore3342
      @kossemoore3342 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nivea-Dari Toliver i disagree. The band has been completely been inactive aside from the anniversary and some lives here and there. They had plenty of time to drop a couple of singles. They havent even done that. To me it seems like tetsu wanted a break with his family he just had a second kid within the last few years. And hyde is always making music whether its with larc, vamps, solo, covers, writting for other artist. Hes always busy. The fact that the guys havent dropped a single since 2016 is telling. I wont completely disagree that hyde activity hasnt had an influence on lack of larc because i dont kniw the situation like they do. But i feel like hydes activity can also be attributed to the fact that hes got the time to do it because of the lack of larc

    • @letzgameon
      @letzgameon 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Kosse moore but Tetsu had time to record 3 singles in 2016 and 2017 and an EP in 2018. I don't really know nor will I pretend to know why they're inactive but my guess has always just been Hyde wanting to try something different than Larc. Larc's inactivity has always mythed me but nothing we can really do. Is there an article where Tetsu states this cause I'd like to read it. He is leader of the band after all. :)

    I like L’arc, but I LOVE they’re early material with the original drummer, Sakura. He’s a great drummer with jazz influences and a good feel for dynamics. The current drummer Yukihiro is good, but his feel is a bit robotic sometimes.
    I’d suggest checking out Creature Creature some time. Sakura was the drummer for their second album. The song Dream Caller would be a fantastic start.

      David B. Rockin Music & Anime I think Sakura sounded more like John Bonham as he got older. Much like Minato from Dead End did. I think Minato even pared down his drum kit to a similar setup to Bonham’s. Minato’s work on Dead End’s Metamorphosis album and the handful of songs he did with Creature Creature showcased his style shift. I uploaded Mirrors by Creature Creature onto TH-cam because it’s one of my absolute favorite drum performances ever.
