Tram 2000 is gonna be transported to my hometown in a year or two (Vinnytsia, Ukraine). I fell in love with Zürich and Switzerland when your trams appeared in my town for the first time. Before I thought that Switzerland and Sweden is the same country xD. I love Karpfens and Mirages. Thank you, Thomas, your videos are awesome. And thank you Zürich and Switzerland for trams :)

Given the delays on the Flexity deliveries, I suspect the Tram 2000 fleet is going to stick around in Zurich for a few years longer than originally planned! (Not to mention the events of the last year. :( )

(The Flexity had only just begun deliveries, and some crashes with cars had taken several cobra and/or tram 2000 vehicles out of commission for repairs.) So for a short while, the Flexity was running alongside vintage 1960s trams!
When I first moved to Zurich in 1992, they still used trams from the 1940s (Kurbeli), 1950s (Karpfen), 1960s (Mirage) alongside the then-current Tram 2000!

In Tokyo, many trams used to run until 50 years ago. Now, only one line remains. Due to the constant accidents with automobiles, they were replaced by subways that can operate directly with general railroads. So, this kind of video was very refreshing.

I tried to scrutinise and the Flexitzyas well as the other two seem to have windows for front end seeing by the public. I am glad to see that (unlike Berlin, which their is a solid black bulkhead between driver and passengers..Shameful!)
I have two complaints about the Flexity: the small doors and entryways at the front and back of the trams (exactly where you need bigger doors and entryways), and the depressing interior color scheme. I’m not sure whether it’s just the gray paint job, or if it also has to do with the lighting, but they seem much more “clinical” than the Cobra or Tram 2000 interiors. (I would have just adapted the Cobra color scheme, which I think is fantastic.)
I still can't distinguish between the cobra and flexity. It was great because I watched this video at around midday which is around the time I got to this beautiful city some years ago😍💕
i love the fact that those modern trams still have an old-school look, it’s so cool. they are the perfect mix between old and new. totally a superb design on all of them.

In Zurich, the passenger can look to the tram driver. The windows are slightly darkened. But you can still look and observe everything
