Nice idea. May I suggest you align the flap envelope first where it needs to be, so you have the gap you need at the spine, fix it with a pin and then glue. Makes it easier. I often use use clips when cutting covers etc. If you don't have a paper cutter and use rulers and measure, that also makes it easier to duplicate correct sizes. In any case, you also can alter your idea to a mini album, just cut the envelopes open on top or the side so you get big pockets, or glue smaller pockets on to the envelopes. Be creative. Your idea is a very good basis. Greetings from Germany❤
Such an easy way to make a small journal. Your tutorial is very easy to follow. I will try this with some Kraft envelopes I have had a long time. It seems perfect for some Halloween projects.

Love it. I was looking for an easy envelope JJ that people with limited access to supplies could make. Also a little side note thank you for including gentlemen. Not all paper crafters are women but often it is assumed they are.

For years I get in the mail, "Charity Cards and Envelopes" from different charity organizations. They are Happy Birthday to Merry Christmas card and envelopes. They come in 4 or 5 at a time. I use to throw them away and now I know what to do with these envelopes. Your instruction is so easy! Thank you very much.

This is a clever method. It seems a shame to 'waste' the pockets created naturally by the envelopes
So, how do you use the envelopes?? Stacked style envelopes would make journal pages and leave the envelopes open.
