Another place we used to play at a lot in the sixties. Good to see that this hasn't changed much at all. I remember the last time I was there a cow was in the temple & wouldn't let us in - I've been told she used to do that a lot! You should go to Corbar Cross some time, great views of Buxton from there as well. Thanks for another wonderful video. Oh btw, that fenced off pond was a sheeps wash back in the sixties you could see the concrete sides.

No wonder that even our prehistoric ancesters did crazy stuff in this magnificent landscape.

That was a nice surprise to get a mid-week video, cheers. The views from up there are simply magnificent, all captured crystal clear as well, it must be down to all that expensive equipment you had to go out and buy!!!!! The tower looks very well looked after, it's nice that people are caring for it, at that height it must get some horrendous weather during the winter as well. Nice to see Joanne at it as well, I'll pop across and have a look at her video too.

Good video. Kudos for getting your drone to fly in those winds! However, the route you took to get there was by far the easiest. There are two more, accessed from Green Lane in Buxton. One from the tourist spot Pooles Cavern, which is the 2nd easiest. Then there's the route most locals would take & the longest route which is accessed just opposite the Green Lane & College road junction. Both of those take you through Grinlow Woods, which is allegedly haunted. Probably due to the certain mushrooms that grow there.

    Morning Anthony,
Just found your lastest video on TH-cam and as usual I must say it was a lovely one too.
Seen this place many times when I have visited Buxton and have always wanted to try and get myself up there, but as I don't have transport it's a bit difficult.
Is it a far walk from Buxton Railway Station by any chance?
Lovely views too, never realised that you were able to go inside and up to the top.
On another note on the simular type of building, have you been up to the Crich Monument at all yet?
I went there last year and it's a nice little place with fantastic views of the Amber Valley.
Nice to see you both on video too, like I've said before, your both a lovely couple and it's always nice to find someone who enjoys the same hobby as yourself.
Hope you have a lovely valentines day together too, and good luck for the future you deserve it the pair of you.
All the best from. Devon Mike.

Morning Mike 🙂 I never knew this place existed. Plus after this we popped over to the disused reservoirs. We did go to Crich briefly a few weeks ago. The wind was far too strong. Off to Edale today, not long just gone through Eckington 😄

      Hello again Ant,
      Just found your message.
Lovely to hear from you, and it's nice to hear that you've been through my village I love the place.
Hope you have a good day at Edale, myself and my sister are out at New Mills today doing a bit of walking, it's one of my favourite places to visit, very industrial too.
Anyway looking out for your next video.
      See you soon from.

The weird "pond" is an old sheep wash. They keep unused ones fenced off to stop lives stock and drunken folk wandering in to them and well , you know.

You're right Ant, on a summers day its fantastic up there, bit of a stretch from the car park if I remember rightly!! Could that "pond" be connected with the kilns or is it a dew pond??

Possible old lead mine, Derbyshire area is littered with them , probably why it’s been fenced off, might be well deep !
