    I think combining tour A+ and after CCNA was the best path but if you dont have practice labs it is only 50% of knowledge at least you need practice labs and hands on labs. Well done for your hard work and skills you gained i wish you a great career in IT 🙏🙂

    I want to say thank you I've been watching your videos and I've been inside sales in the software industry and wanted to get out and did my Comptia A+ and azure fundamentals. I'm in my early 40s and wondering what it's like in Chicago, the US for older people to make a career change into tech support? But thank you again I keep watching your videos and this one inspired me too. Consider doing my network +

    Could IT support be the path towards a database administrator role in the same company ?

    • @EastCharmer
      @EastCharmer  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hhhmmm tbh it is not. IT Support doesn't do database work directly. IT Support will be the path to Network/Systems administration, automation, cybersecurity. But if you find a company that has in house database team, then you can probably get exposed to more database work. I hope this helps!

    What are the future prospects of an IT support role? I know people have been doing it for more than five years and seems to me most IT roles requires a degree.

    • @djamarildo2010
      @djamarildo2010 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No serious recruiter will ask for bachelor's degree in CS most of them ask for experience or certifications like CCNA Cisco Microsoft azure fundamentals for cloud or comptia + net+

    • @EastCharmer
      @EastCharmer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes I agree with @amarildinio. If you want to get into IT, the job postings will most likely look for experience and certifications. degrees are not really required for IT but some jobs might prefer it but I've met a lot of people with no degree in IT or has a different background that are really good in what they're doing now.
