Yeah that would be peak! I always loved more the art style and atmosphere of Three Houses, the more medieval style and story telling. Engage was fun gameplay wise very fun gameplay loop and very unique gameplay but the art style was way too colorful for my taste, I prefer the more darker and washed out colors palette in Three Houses. I think a combination of these 2 titles taking what people loved the most from Three Houses and Engage and mix it together would most likely create the best Fire Emblem maybe even the best tactical strategy JRPG ever made! I hope they do it lol.
No, let the next game do something different with the combat, like the combat was okay in engage but I wouldn't want that to be how future titles play like and honestly I prefer the combat in 3h
One of the things is that Three Houses was written by Koei Tecmo, so honestly I don't know if modern Intelligent Systems has the writing chops to actually do it, considering the last two games they've written are Engage and Fates. Even Awakening is mixed on the writing front IMO. Path of Radiance is really the most recent Intelligent System game with particularly strong writing, and I imagine lots of those writers no longer work there.

We will know how good the next game is gonna be if they reveal if the devs are Koei Tecmo or not, if they are, we can expect something amazing and ambitious like 3 houses, amazing story, gameplay, cast, etc., if not, then we can expect a game with good gameplay and mediocre story, probably Engage story 2.0, or even worse, Fates story 2.0
Fire Emblem : Three Houses is one of my favourite games of all time, it brought back some magic I hadn't felt in a long time while playing a video game. The story and the character designs and their personality were amazing, the way their clothes and style change after the time gap was incredible. I loved the gameplay too, and the art in general. I really wish the next Fire Emblem games can deliver in a similar way.
@@Shifty1897 Yeah I agree, Three Houses had better music, granted Engage was supposed to be the 30th anniversary celebration game and got delayed 1 or 2 years and got pushed out as a "main title".
Can't wait for the next big Fire Emblem game and I hope it is as good as Three Houses! Best case, gameplay like Engage but story and atmosphere like Three Houses!
I've got over 500h on Three Houses, finished all routes, plus two in Maddening and a noble/commoner challenge (no class changes), and loved every single hour I spent on that game. It's just THAT good. Doesn't matter that it came out 5 years ago, it's still totally relevant.
Ideological-wise, Edelgard is my favorite, but story-wise? Dimitri all the way, I just can't seem to choose between the two, both of them are my beloved students and lords, but honestly it sucks I never felt the same with Claude and the Golden Deer, literally the only ones I care about is Leonie and Lysithea, Marianne I didn't even find interesting or attractive but she has cute supports I guess? But I suppose when you have two of the nations being the narrative focus the other one always just ends up becoming a side-show, shame... I really like Claude's VA but his character isn't really that enjoyable, I liked the VA more than the character himself lol.
I wish Nintendo released at least an Hd port of path of radiance and radiant dawn they were for game cube and Wii, very good games and under appreciated when they came out back in 2005 and 2007. They deserve a modern console release.
@@ZackSNetwork depends on how they handle the localization, thus far based on the horrible woke localization in three houses, fates and engage I have no reason to believe that fe4 will get a proper remake with good localization, this is mostly a biproduct of woke activists taking over localization jobs and taking over the anime and gaming industry as a whole, localization has been such a massive issue for fire emblem games since the day fate came to exist that I simply do not want anymore fire emblem games in the west unless something is done about these horrible woke localizers or they get fired from their jobs.. I simply can’t wait for the day AI advances far enough to where localization is made easier and works better and more accurately with AI proper translations
@@valleyofthedawlz personally Ik they will butcher the localization, I don’t want it to get remade until the localizers either get fired or replaced by smart Ai, or until they get replaced with actual competent English localizers..
Awakening and Three houses take inspiration from genealogy. if it's the next game, no way it will have these graphics, like he said this game is too dark for this.
@@oheychay997my favourite is fire emblem echoes, it’s like Romeo and Juliet but Fire Emblem. LOVE IT. The running up the stairs scene and meeting at the balcony after the long awaited reunion was amazing. Then Fire Emblem Awakening. Even though I put less times in the above than the 400+ hours I put in Three Houses and Fates, I still love Echoes and Awakening the most
Awakening is by far the worse FE imho (of the 17 I've played) but at least it keep FE alive. 3H was better but still average as a tactical. I hope they will not forgot tactical fans (which is the genre of FE) for making Persona fans happy. Engage was kind of interesting gameplay wise but it was too much on the weeb side and the story was so bad.. a good balance between what 3H and Engage do would be great ! Keeping good characters/story and good gameplay should be the most important thing imo and they didn't do it since Tellius Games ! I hope for the best.
@Haarwyvern Awakening was my first time playing a FE game. I really liked it, and occasionally still play it. I have a bit of a soft spot for it since my little brother and I bonded over it.
My favorite route was crimson flower because imo the other three all played out way too similarly to each other-especially Verdant Wind and Silver Snow. Those three all have really similar maps and plotlines besides the different characterizations between Dimitri and Claude, whereas Crimson Flower plays out way differently. I think all three lords are roughly equal as characters, though I slightly prefer Edelgard mainly because I played her route first. I’ll also say, for all you can say about Edelgard, the “good” endings that happen in the other routes all don’t happen it the war never happens, so Edelgard essentially achieves her goal in all 4 routes, but only lives to see the aftermath in one. My only complaint with the crimson flower route is that it’s shorter than the other three. There’s no reason why they shouldn’t have fought those who slither after defeating Rhea, besides the developers running out of time. I like all 4 routes though, but Silver Snow the least. Not an unpopular opinion at all but SS and VW should have traded final bosses.
A classic game doesn’t have to be remade or need to have nostalgic value to be worthy of playing, it just needs to be good. (I say this as someone discovering so many gems of the past that rival or surpass the best of today as someone in their early 20’s.) So yeah, try the GBA titles or the Tellius Games. You’d be surprised how much you’ll love them.
Black Eagles siding with Edelgard is my favorite, Golden Deer is second place for me, and Blue Lions is third place. I still need to do a side with the church playthrough with Black Eagles playthrough
I love Fire Emblem three houses. It was my first Fire Emblem game, and after beating every route, including the DLC, and both paths of the black eagles it sent me into buying every other game that they never put out and playing them. I have liked more Fire Emblems than I have disliked wasn’t a huge fan of engage, but loved path of radiance and radiant dawn. I can’t wait for the next Fire Emblem game. Very excited.
Honestly I like your attitude towards Engage. I find it quite disappointing as a new mainline entry, especially compared to the phenomenal character writing and story of Three Houses. Also wasn’t a fan of the character design style. But you looking at it as a sort of ‘unique’ anniversary almost-spinoff makes sense! And it’s good for a game like that
Obviously there will be a brand new main series FE game in the future. Probably on the Switch successor system, I agree. But are we really sure that an FE4 remake is happening? How do we know someone didn't just see the footage of Sigurd's Paralogue in Engage from before that game was released and then incorrectly assume it was a Genealogy remake? I'm just saying that the more time that passes without official word of an FE4 remake, the more skeptical about it existing I become.
It happened with the 3ds when garden had a remake being made some time ago along with Fates but it took two years to release the remake. I can see Nintendo doing the same thing to the switch right when switch 2 drops and we won't see a newer game for a 2025 lineup until at least by 2027.
Rumors were swirling around since the late 3DS/Early Switch days. Regardless, FE4 is the next in line for a remake as 1, 2 & 3 have all been remade at some point so it’s an inevitability.
What if in a future FE game the plot is a reverse of the usual setup? To elaborate, a decadent empire being invaded by a coalition of neighbouring kingdoms and factions, with your mc acting like a fictional version of Flavius Aetius trying to keep it all together the best he/she can while aided by a misterious cult. For extra kicks, the villains this time are evil expies of past protagonists: -Evil!Marth: A former prince from the Empire who was exiled due to commiting various crimes, only to return at the head of an army to reclaim what he thinks is rightfully his -Evil!Ike: A violence loving mercenary leader motivated by lust of battle and profit, leading an army of criminals and demihumans -Evil!Lyn: That universe version of Gengis Khan, who also has a crudge against "sedentary" folk because she thinks they view her people as inferior -Evil!Hector: One of those jerks who want everyone around them to be happy in spite of his violent and bullying antics -Evil!Robin: A cult leader who operates on a mindset of "manifest destiny" who has managed to make their followers believe the empire is evil with sheer charisma
I think that would be fun, starting with you at the top trying to save your kingdom from collapse instead of the continuous underdog story. Though maybe not a generic good vs evil story, one where all sides have valid grievances though not all can be resolved. So you have to either make alliance's with a few of the rebel factions or neutral kingdoms by sacrificing parts of your kingdom to them, or try to fight alone in hopes you have to sacrifice nothing. The the lone rout is the most morally ambiguous because you are introduced to a secret cult of dark magic or necromancy which is the only way you'll have the power to save your kingdom alone. A villain of good intentions route, rather than a villain route.
@@techpriest6962 You'd have to begin the game as an underdog to some extent, if only to justify why your lord begins at level 1 with only a few retainers as their army. My guess is the MC could be one of those "related to the ruler but very far in the succession line" kind of aristocrats who has been given the impossible task to fend off the invaders, not actually expected to win. The empire aristocrats are mostly a self serving bunch who, at best, only want to protect their own territories. And the ruling emperor is an old man with dementia who only serves as a figurehead. The cult would provide help to the MC's army in various ways (Inteligence, weapons, money, recruitable characters...) with a misterious goal, lead by an expy of a past "creepy old man dark priest" villain, live Gharnef, Manfroy or Thales. Late in the game you find out their true purpose which is... being recognized as an official religion in the empire, rather than persecuted heretics. Unfortunately, there are reasons why they are not tolerated, like being practicioners of dark magic and mafia like activities (Their wealth used to support you had to come from somewhere). Fore extra kicks, you have to eventually choose to remain loyal to the empire (Or at least their most decent members) or the cult, and depending on your choice, you get the emperor or the dark priest as your late game archmage. Just imagine their supports with rest of the cast 😄
@@user-unos111 At this point I think we are just talking about a FE8 style storyline with the MC in Lyons position. Minus the Demon Orb, and everyone's invading your borders instead of the other way around. 😂 As for why you do not have a major army or a bunch of strong allies at the start. I imagine it could work like the Holy Roman Empire where it's like a union of kings under an emperor instead of just one massive kingdom under your fathers rule. So while you inherited the throne abruptly, many of the kings as a result who are neutral to you or loyal to your father offer you no aid or tribute until you prove yourself. Thus they are fighting their own wars, rebellions, etc themselves instead of helping you since they have their own problems to deal with.
@@techpriest6962 I was thinking more of a protagonist version of the Camus archetype: A loyal servant of the crown who's trying to keep together a crumbling empire. Likely a guy who had been an armchair general for most of their career (Providing an excuse for being lvl 1 despite being fairly experienced) who has been forced to take a more direct aproach for the new crisis. Thinking about it, is there a Fire Emblem where the main plot is dealing with an internal conflict? Let's say a civil war, succession crisis or revolution. I imagine the setting as a fantasy version of the byzantine empire. A revolution would also provide an excuse as for why you are fighting increasingly strong foes: First you face armed peasants or bandits pillaging zones in turmoil; then deserted soldiers, then traitorous noblemen and their personal armies, then seasoned mercenaries hired by the revolutionary leaders and finally the heroes of the uprising who have also been on their own level grinding adventures. Just no dragons, demigods or similar weirdos pulling the strings behind the scenes. Sorry for the very late reply 😅
Im still coping to a fodlan sequel that actually finishes the story. 3/4 endings just give the main antagonists a single epilogue battle and call it a day. Im hoping for a sequel set 5 or so years later focused on taking down those who slither
I'm glad to read it because I'm sad about Engage hate it's not my favorite FE but he is more interesting than Awakening or 3H has a tactical which is the genre of FE so he should'nt be put under them even though the story is bad.
They need to drop the monstrosity of the school and mini games, I hated it so much I couldn’t bring myself to play 3 houses again. The engage is a bit better which you can skip most of it. I miss fast beat story like awakening
I was so agreee with you... And then you talk about Awakening which has also an awful story but also have the worst level design of all FE games. I agree about hubs and mini games being bad but you don't want an FE which is only japanese anime cliche+ uninteresting map and gameplay 😭

Hoping they make it like the classics and ditch the home base filler.. That really brought Three Houses down from a 10 to a 7 for me. Path of Radiance & Radiant Dawn are the high points in the series for me.
Path of radiance on the cube was the best fire emblem in my opinion I liked three houses but was still not as good as radiance which I still go back too now and again
*Let's be real IS would rather create FEH spin off Gatcha's instead of story driven Tactical SRPGs.* IS is notorious for being really bad writers, as it's a meme at the point that the average FE player could write a better and more cohesive plot than IS can.
It's hard to write good stories, but man... Even when I just started to seriously consider writing, holy crap IS... Y'all fumbled since Koga ditched you guys, there's obviously good writing even after he left but man... All of Fates... What are they smoking with that garbage?
@ It's not as hard as you may think for Tactics games, most tactics games use very simple story themes like: Revenge, Rebellion, and Conquest since the main part of the game is the gameplay. Thus as long as the characters are interesting, then the story can be fairly generic and still do well. That said, Fates is one of those good in theory awful in execution kind of games. As the My Castle and Capture / Army mechanics were solid, but most of the villains were so cartoonishly bad that the story couldn't keep anyone invested.
I disagree on the Samurai Warriors artstyle for an FE4 remake, I think it's a bit too realistic for FE. Engage's artstyle definitely wouldn't fit either tho. If the GUST leaks are correct, I would actually like to see the environments be something akin to the Atelier Ryza games but with a lot less vibrancy/saturation (I feel like how those game handle reflections and lighting would fit FE4, the vibrant colors just need to be toned down a lot). I don't know how feasible that is giving the scale of the maps though. For character art, I love Hidari, but I think Rika Suzuki would do amazing character art as well.
I think its really weird and unfounded to say that Engage is some side game, as if it isnt officially FE17. I get it if you think the story isnt on par with other FE games (I would disagree but thats neither here nor there) but it is a fact that it's a mainline game. Saying Engage is a side anniversary game is like if I said "oh Three Houses was just a weird experimental spinoff"
I played every single FE game and it's the only style with Engage I dislike. It's so random imo it's looks like your typical animes. Echoes had a amazing chara-des imho
Idk but i most def like what they did with FE3hopes more than base FE3houses for some reason. Both great games to me but the story felt more fleshed out for all 3 of the leaders in the warriors game.
I don't get why (Spoilers ahead) Edelgard is the boss of the Blue Lions Path and not the Church one... To me the most logical bosses to have a unique enemy at the end of each route would have been: - Leicester Alliance: Nemesis - Kingdom of Faerghus: Thales - Adrestian Empire: The Immaculate One - Church of Seiros: Fallen Edelgard But I guess Making Thales the enemy you defeat in only one route would have both made him feel less menacing and made this path the "most cannon"...
I loved this game! The routes I enjoyed are; Golden Deer, Blue Lions and Silver Snow!;) I also enjoy the DLC side story too! I can't believe it's been 5 years since it came out! I also enjoyed Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes too!
Engage is better as an FE game though. 3H is more a Persona fan thing with poor level design but more sociables aspects. Engage is kind of the opposite and closer about what FE is. I want a good mix of both of them to make a greater FE like we had in the 2000s !
@@Haarwyvern debatable…Engage is an emty shell in terms of story, empty shell they tried to fill up with fan service with the rings system. 3H has at least a ( several ) storyline(s). but I guess it is like the everlasting debate on FF games, it’s a matter of taste
@@Haarwyvern A good story can save a crappy game but a terrible story cannot be saved by good gameplay, this is why Fallout New Vegas despite the jank is way more beloved than Fallout 4, debatable yes, but that community will rabidly defend the game to the death because it's really just that good despite the jankiness of it. People are a sucker for good stories, way more than gameplay, that's pretty much how our brains work really.
I’m not sure how I would feel about FE4 having “route” per say, but I definitely think that a approach like FE7 could work nicely in that sense. Maybe it could put us in the perspective of different important characters of that game. Of which there are plenty.
I think they might be holding back FE4 for a dual release, Nintendo has been releasing a lot of Mario RPGS so I'm assuming they're gonna wait to announce FE once those are past since they seem to be experimenting and looking over fan reactions for what to do with these games now. So putting down another RPG series like FE or Xenoblade into the mix could affect that.
Great vid! I discovered FE 3H this past august and I am on my 5th run. Directly in my top 5 of video games ever. I am a big fan of Mass Effect and I never thought that I would find more enjoyable characters than those. I was wrong. Difficult to talk about a favourite route. I only know that Crimson Flower is my less fav path, because is too short and hitting Cyril, Flayn and Seteth was painful. Blue Lions is sad but very cool and the last battle is the hardest imo. Verdant wind has the kindest and more complete story. Silver snow is awesome but too similar to Verdant and I don't get the final stage 😅 On the other hand Crimson is the more unique story and that battle in Tailtean Plains is so epic... Ah, and the OST... what a game!
@@dinar8749it's not it's not dark, it's just normal fantasy. Normal fantasy also have dark moments, dark fantasy is on another level. I do possibly prefer Engage over 3H but I agree about Engage being trash story wise. It's just better as a game though.
@@Haarwyvern I doubt that. I need good story in rpgs I play so having a bad story, especially in a series that just had an amazing one in its previous game 5 years ago, is inexcusable. Fans should not have to settle for good story or good gameplay. We should get both.
@@dinar8749 Tactical are not regular rpg, the most important thing is gameplay and map design if it's map oriented. I do agree when it comes to classic rpg like FF, but most tactical don't even try to have a story. FE try a bit but except FE4 and Tellius Game it falls flat imo. Even 3H has a meh story imho with weird pacing and not all answer. It's far better than Awakening, Fates and Engage that are completely trash for sure. But it's nothing new and a lot of weird choices. It would have been better without all those routes tbh. I do agree with the fact that he could be better by giving us good gameplay/level design at the same time with good characters/story but it never did since 2007. FE fans plays games multiple times so en the end you're just skipping the story you know by heart if maps are bad it will make the game bad. I do understand your point maybe you're a more recent FE player coming from other genre and your opinion make sense. As a tactical and FE lovers story come after that even though I was really angry against Engage story. Another thing is as I said you think 3H as an amazing story. For me it was really flawed and pretty average it was mostly the characters who carry the game because they really feel like a real group. None of the four route themselves were great imho. Glad we're not agree though it makes more new opinion to read. 3H is still a game I love though but not one of my top FE
I remember the first time i saw the trailer of 3houses, i was in love. I really enjoyed the freedom the game offers (different routes, class system), the music (tempest of seasons ❤), however my main problem was the chapters before the 5 years gap could have been a little different depending the class you choose. On the other side i loved engage too. The quality of graphics and the ring system was nice but i missed the freedom, the music and the story of 3 houses. I Hope they will take note for the next one.
My Prediction for the next fire emblem game would be called Fire Emblem Wild Hearts, where the main protagonist is a hero who is an animal hybrid called an animoid(looks similar to a human but with animal characteristics and also has the ability to turn into an animal) in a world where humans and animoids coexist Many years ago, animals and humans live together in joyful harmony, that is until a wicked trickster who wants to rule with an iron fist, fooled the humans into thinking the animals were their enemies and destroy the animals' homes and chaos reigned, but the animals have discovered a magical element called chi which transformed them into the much smarter more intelligent animoids and use that energy to trap that evil trickster forever.
Engage was Total disappointment is great on paper ok I enjoy the gameplay..but that all..the story is cringe.. i try so hard not to say that in back of my mind..but they did this to me men.. i littery screaming "Oh ma god that cringe"..littery slip my mouth 😅..maybe 3houses was a luck jackpot. why are they not doing like this again... i will leaving myselt with zero expectations so i won't be disappointed..i still has faith for FE couse im fans 3houses.
3H is pretty average in level design so for me it was not better than Engage just different. Both do good things (Engage the fun gameplay and better map design, 3H better story and characters). I need the best of both worlds because I was disappointed by both even though I love them more than 3DS games which I dislike except Echoes.
When is a new series coming out? Any official news? I would be happy if they make a remake of fire emblem radiant dawn but make it all from Michaiahs perspective. We want more of Dawn Bridage. Additionally if they can add a sequel but again make Michaiah the main protagonist with full availability in all chapters
I am guessing that the next Fire Emblem Switch game will release in 2025, just in time for the 35th anniversary of the release of the first game on the Famicom in Japan.
People gotta realize three houses has a different dev team than traditional FE (Koei Tecmo) Engage is much closer to the standard for the series and was made in house by IS. Really hope we get a remake in Engage's style/engine
Question, what would you say to games that took place in Roy's and Ike's worlds so the Scouring in Roy's world gets a happy ending and to show that there was actually a second continent in Ike's world?
Three Houses is easily my favorite FE game; been a crazy FE fan since Marth and Roy were in Melee. And played Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword (Just called Fire Emblem in the US). And I later on played all the classic FE games even all the Japan only titles. As for my favorite Route, that would have to be Golden Deer in terms of maps and final boss and story. It was the closest to a Golden route. Blue Lions was a close 2nd because of Dimitri's deep character arc. While I love Edelgard as an individual character and execution probably makes her a really deep character, it's a shame Silver Snow is the one route with no lord and Crimson Flower while unique, was just watered down. But playing as Death Knight made it more than worth it. There was also Ashen Wolves expansion; which when it introduced might executively might be the true best story/golden route as the cast gained new power ups early and all three lords learned much deeper stuff. It kind of paves the way for a true golden route; which could have worked but making a full on would defeat the purpose of 3 Houses story.
Also, and FE4 remake if it stays faithful in the parts that really worked for FE4 while fixing some not so aged mechanics. Like the skills, Holy Bloods, negative attack speed and evasion, ect I hope all stay. But fix the inventory, currency, and item trading mechanics. I can also see more Three Houses/Engage style roaming at the castles between chapters.
I haven't enjoyed a fire emblem game since path of radiance. Awakening is absolute trash. I didn't wanna get 3 houses just because of the ridiculous class switching going on. Idk I'm more drawn to the simplicity of the GBA games style and I'm more inclined to play a rom hack of that then I am to play these new ones
The Fire Emblem Genealogy remake has been rumored all the way back since Echoes, which is 7 years at this point, and well, here we are, discussin it's existence hahaha, at this point I don't expect that game anymore, what I expect is a brand new FE game with a new world and new characters, but I feel that game is gonna be a Switch 2 game, so that would mean that we aren't gonna get a new FE game in at least 2 or 3 years from now. Either that, or we are going to get an expansion game for Engage, either a prequel, sequel, a game that will tell what happened with the cast after Engage, or any sort of lore expansion, even if it's not the same world, I believe that because that's what we have gotten historically, every FE game has had a sequel, a prequel, an expansion to it's lore, or a tale of what happened to this and that character after the war, all games have gotten this in a way except the Sacred Stones, so it wouldn't be out of the box to think that a game like that for Engage exists or that is in the works, specially given the amount of plotholes that Engage has and that the DLC didn't resolve
I would be more concerned as to how the localization team will f this up, considering how woke their localization teams truly is in engage and Three houses alongside plenty of other games like fates.
I’m just curious on what new type system gimmick since the other ones had Fire emblem awakening pair up system Fire emblem fates dragon vain Fire emblem three house divine pulse Fire emblem engage emblem system Please note I never played three houses

The story of Engage put me to sleep. I actually dropped it at the middle and replayed 3H. Which is a shame, the graphics and character design is very good
Ive never finished the Blue lions route. I just can’t bring myself to care about Dimitri… I love the other lions, and I often steal all of them, but I just can’t finish his route.
In my opinion Fire Emble sacred stones is the best game in the series, And I would love to see A remake. or better yet, An HD!! omg that would be cool!

On god if they had given engage a new-game plus I would’ve played it more than once.

The character arch of Dimitri in Blue Lions was a big part of why Blue Lions is my favorite route.
Same.
Played all of the major three (no silver snow bs)
The Golden Deer is my favourite route but my favourite class is the Blue Lions. I would def join Blue Lions in real life.
I loved all three of the main lords routes, but blue lions really had the most emotional story for me and it felt very character driven!

Those deserve a full remake treatment. Keep the story beat the same but remake it.

I need that new/remade FE. Replaying 3H, Engage, awakening, fates, and Echos can only do some much.
The gba games are dope as well
Try GBA FE and PoR/RD!

Rumors were swirling around since the late 3DS/Early Switch days.

Happy 5 year anniversary!!! 🎉❤ So glad fans are celebrating the time skip together.
For extra kicks, the villains this time are evil expies of past protagonists:
-Evil!Marth: A former prince from the Empire who was exiled due to commiting various crimes, only to return at the head of an army to reclaim what he thinks is rightfully his
-Evil!Ike: A violence loving mercenary leader motivated by lust of battle and profit, leading an army of criminals and demihumans
-Evil!Lyn: That universe version of Gengis Khan, who also has a crudge against "sedentary" folk because she thinks they view her people as inferior
-Evil!Hector: One of those jerks who want everyone around them to be happy in spite of his violent and bullying antics
-Evil!Robin: A cult leader who operates on a mindset of "manifest destiny" who has managed to make their followers believe the empire is evil with sheer charisma
Oh, how about we don't havecults for once. We have moral grey nations that aren't black and white good and evil.
@@techpriest6962
You'd have to begin the game as an underdog to some extent, if only to justify why your lord begins at level 1 with only a few retainers as their army.
As for why you do not have a major army or a bunch of strong allies at the start.
@@techpriest6962
I was thinking more of a protagonist version of the Camus archetype: A loyal servant of the crown who's trying to keep together a crumbling empire.

*Let's be real IS would rather create FEH spin off Gatcha's instead of story driven Tactical SRPGs.*
IS is notorious for being really bad writers, as it's a meme at the point that the average FE player could write a better and more cohesive plot than IS can.
I would be personally disappointed if the Switch 2 launched with a remake FE, would rather something new. And write a decent story this time IS!
FE Vampire as a real game instead of a fan rumor would be cool or a War of Heroes (Pre-3H) game.

To me the most logical bosses to have a unique enemy at the end of each route would have been:
- Leicester Alliance: Nemesis
- Kingdom of Faerghus: Thales
- Adrestian Empire: The Immaculate One
- Church of Seiros: Fallen Edelgard
But I guess Making Thales the enemy you defeat in only one route would have both made him feel less menacing and made this path the "most cannon"...

I love the music and gameplay for FE. I can’t wait to see what they do!
Just take engage and add a dose of classic story with some medieval masculinity and you’ve got our money.
My Prediction for the next fire emblem game would be called Fire Emblem Wild Hearts, where the main protagonist is a hero who is an animal hybrid called an animoid(looks similar to a human but with animal characteristics and also has the ability to turn into an animal) in a world where humans and animoids coexist
Many years ago, animals and humans live together in joyful harmony, that is until a wicked trickster who wants to rule with an iron fist, fooled the humans into thinking the animals were their enemies and destroy the animals' homes and chaos reigned, but the animals have discovered a magical element called chi which transformed them into the much smarter more intelligent animoids and use that energy to trap that evil trickster forever.

People gotta realize three houses has a different dev team than traditional FE (Koei Tecmo) Engage is much closer to the standard for the series and was made in house by IS. Really hope we get a remake in Engage's style/engine

How would a fire emblem three houses sequel story even be is my question
blue lions
Great video. Please post more about fire emblem!
Question, what would you say to games that took place in Roy's and Ike's worlds so the Scouring in Roy's world gets a happy ending and to show that there was actually a second continent in Ike's world?
That would be r*tarded at best
PlayerEssence, Your videos always make me happy, so I subscribed!
I would love to remakes of the old games, like Binding Blade and Sacred Stones.

Awakening is the worst FE game though so obviously you dislike it.
Engage you can skip the story and then the map are better than other new FE games.
Either that, or we are going to get an expansion game for Engage, either a prequel, sequel, a game that will tell what happened with the cast after Engage, or any sort of lore expansion, even if it's not the same world, I believe that because that's what we have gotten historically, every FE game has had a sequel, a prequel, an expansion to it's lore, or a tale of what happened to this and that character after the war, all games have gotten this in a way except the Sacred Stones, so it wouldn't be out of the box to think that a game like that for Engage exists or that is in the works, specially given the amount of plotholes that Engage has and that the DLC didn't resolve
i would prefer it if they stepped up their game and clone the unicorn overlord battle system. they're only a few steps away from it.
I like golden route and the 4th route (choose black eagle and yet don’t follow her).
Gold Deer and the Church were fun to play in FE3H
I’m more worried about how the ESRB is gonna rate Holy War considering how DARK the villain of that game is and his ideals were. 🫣
I would be more concerned as to how the localization team will f this up, considering how woke their localization teams truly is in engage and Three houses alongside plenty of other games like fates.
I kinda hope they expand more on the world they made in 3h
I’m just curious on what new type system gimmick since the other ones had
Fire emblem awakening pair up system
Fire emblem fates dragon vain
Fire emblem three house divine pulse
Fire emblem engage emblem system
Please note I never played three houses
Fire emblem echoes shadows of Valentia came up with the divine pulse-like mechanic first and the existence of combat arts.
Three Houses brought multiple paths in the same game, battalions and was just overall pure awesomeness. You really should play it.
Fire emblem the holy war : skills and child system
@@denishamon5475 I’m working on trying to get it one day
@@denishamon5475 Fates was the first FE with multiple paths & games I believe.
Fire Emblem Three houses was PEAK, i get the feeling that the new of FE game will be FE Engage combat but the rest will FE THREE HOUSES.
2 delays of 3 houses and still no playable rhea? Damn.😔
Her, Jeralt and Sothis are fully in the files and voiced as units apparently.
@@joaocbcneto As Enemy or Allied Units I’d imagine since all three were one of these units at some point in the game.
@@ZephyrK. Nope, they have level up and select quotes so they were probably planned for playable.
I hope they make the designs more like FE3H because Engage character designs felt over the top and silly for me.
More like echoes*
3H was already to much "not like FE" more like Persona but yeah Engage is on another level
@@Haarwyvern I don't really see a problem with Three Houses designs but I definitely agree with Echoes, literally the most beautiful artstyle this franchise ever had and I wish they stuck to it.
3 hopes story but with engage mechanics and 3 houses individual unit balance would of been the perfect way to end fire emblem for switch it's a shame that never happened
I LOVED 3 houses! first FE game i ever played and i LOVED it! i got so many good feelings out of this game, it just was incredible.
Golden deer definitely
FEAR THE DEER
We are long since due for a Genealogy remake
Favorite route: Crimson Flower! Edelgard is our girl ❤
I realy would love ports from 3DS like Conquest and that second that I never remenber title
The story of Engage put me to sleep. I actually dropped it at the middle and replayed 3H. Which is a shame, the graphics and character design is very good
Yeah I agree, but the gameplay is so much better it makes it a better FE game imo !
Ive never finished the Blue lions route. I just can’t bring myself to care about Dimitri… I love the other lions, and I often steal all of them, but I just can’t finish his route.
Need new FE!
I won't deny I enjoyed Engage gameplay, but man I hated the protagonist he/she was such a Crybaby it ruined it for me to like the protagonist!
if they put out a fire emblem persona game again i will die before buying
In my opinion Fire Emble sacred stones is the best game in the series, And I would love to see A remake. or better yet, An HD!! omg that would be cool!
