    If you put the tips in water they grow roots quickly, and will get more plants!

    Hi Christina,
    Love your plants so healthy looking, all my petunias all at once began to grow. A few days ago I up potted my snaps into 2 inch pots in a few days getting big. My lovebird must have flung a sunflower seed in my tomato's. It's big in a 16 oz cup with a big bud😅. The weather is nuts was 68 degrees. Your a great teacher.

    Nice job! 🤩 You will love honeywort! 💜 I’ve been growing globe thistle for years…be sure to cut every ball off before they go to seed…or you will have a thistle garden🫣😆 ask me how I know 😅

    Love Honeywort. Last year was first time growing and quickly realized it doesn't like the heat. It is one of my favorite fillers. I had vases of just Honeywort everywhere. There are a few varieties available I am planning on trying. Can't wait to see how everything you are planning unfolds. 🌻

    • @SunshineFlora
      @SunshineFlora  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good to know! Did you use it just in the early season for a filler?

    • @rachaelbrown1726
      @rachaelbrown1726 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sunshine & Flora yes here in Florida I only able to use it until the beginning of May when the heat started kicking in. I'm going to plant during fall to see if I can get a longer season out of it. You'll love it. So pretty 😍

    I read another commenter mentioning rooting snapdragon cuttings…And yep, sure can! I tried it as an experiment this year and lost one of 12 that I tried. Now I’m trying to figure out where they’ll go, I’m out of room 😂

    My honeywort did really well in the beginning! Not realizing that they are cool flowers!!
    So maybe this year I will start them earlier than before!
    They don't like heat in zone 8b!

    I just started my mignonette the other day and I noticed the packet said like 65% germination rate. I thought that was pretty low. I threw some extra seed in so we will see how it goes.

    How old where your snap dragons when you pinched? What day did you plant them?

    • @SunshineFlora
      @SunshineFlora  ปีที่แล้ว

      They are probably about 8 weeks old. More importantly is how many sets of leaves they have. Some of mine have grown faster than others

  • @marykennedy3351

    Where did you get your Honeywort from? I got mine from Botanical Interests, and I only got 8 seeds. I was pretty disappointed bc I want to grow a lot more, plus the fact that they all may not germinate. I'm currently trying the paper towel method with them, and only 1 has germinated. It was 2 days ago, and there are no signs the others will germinate.😢 They are hard as a rock. I do have them under the light like I did my Bells of Ireland. My bells did so good I forgot about them, and they got too leggy before I could even plant them, so I started a new batch, and planted them but they looked sickly so I jut dumped all the seeds with and without starts on them covered them with soil and now their going gang busters.😅 My snaps are doing great, but they aren't even and inch yet. Some are getting their 1 set of true leaves, maybe even 2 sets, but I'm terrified to fertilize them. I don't want to destroy my hard work. I just feel they should be a lot bigger at this point. I did soil blocks this year, so they are in the tiny blocks. I went crazy and have like 400 plants of rocket, Potomac, madame butterfly, and Chantilly.😮 I'd be heartbroken bc it took 3 weeks to get where I'm at to only fry them. This is all new to me. I'm doing it to just have my own cut flowers. I want a jungle in my backyard. Everything you have is looking awesomeThank you for sharing.❤

      Don’t get discouraged - you’ll get there! Trust me - I’ve lots lots of plants along the way! I ordered my homeywort from Johnnys and Floret. I have a lot of seed starting videos - check them out! Also read how to start the varieties on Johnnys website - lots of great info!

    Do you have any tips or suggestions for the germination of the Paradiso Mix Echinacea? I planted about 3/4 of my seeds but only got 2 to germinate. Hoping to get some info before I try the rest of the seeds.
