    I liked your quick, simple demonstration. I only needed a 3 minute refresher, not a 30 minute tutorial, so this suited me just fine. No offense to anyone, but not everyone is a Cricut novice, so skipping the basics is ok sometimes. 😊

    • @KatieAdams
      @KatieAdams  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends on what you want to use the machine for? The maker can do it all, including cut thin wood and fabric. If you want to make shirts or paper crafts than the Explore is great. And if you prefer small projects like cards, or organization projects then the Joy is perfect.

    • @KatieAdams
      @KatieAdams  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can cut these with the Cricut Joy. The diameter of the coaster is 3.6 inches and you can cut up to 4.5 inch on the Joy.

    how di u seal them do the cups stick to the coaster

    • @KatieAdams
      @KatieAdams  ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't need to seal them. Sublimation becomes a part of the coaster it isn't just a layer on top of the coaster. If you are using glasses that are sweaty, yes the coasters can stick to glasses with the water, but it takes a lot of water sweat for that to happen.

    Do you have to use cricut costers

    • @KatieAdams
      @KatieAdams  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't have to use the Cricut coasters, but you do have to make sure that you are using sublimation coasters. There has to be a special coating for the infusible ink to adhere to the coaster.

    Can you do 2 coasters at the same time ?

    • @KatieAdams
      @KatieAdams  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sublimation can be a little finicky, and if the infusible ink sheet slips at all you will get ghosting on your coaster. Yes, you could do more than one at a time, but if you make a mistake you might mess up two coasters instead of 1.

  • @aliz4993

    • @KatieAdams

      For a customized design, you would need a sublimation printer. It is a printer with a special ink that bonds to polyester-coated items.

    Do I have to have an easy press?

    • @KatieAdams

    New to cricut! Just wondering does the infusible ink last longer on coasters than just a vinyl transfer?

    • @KatieAdams
      @KatieAdams  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The biggest difference between the two materials is that infusible ink is permanent. The colors actually fuse into the material, and once there cannot be removed. Vinyl is sturdy and can be permanent, but can also be picked at and removed.

    • @KatieAdams
      @KatieAdams  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to have a firm even pressure with the heat press. So if your press doesn't cover the entire design that is probably where you are getting the problem.

    • @KatieAdams
