This is the second time I've seen this game pop up, I saw a full playthrough last time. I can't say what it feels like to play, and it looks pretty. But I hope they do another pass over the "story" Things like - where did that drone thing you have to activate right after you get out of the ship come from? (Maybe you'd be better off grabbing it from a rack in the ship and installing it there? It just feels arbitrary) And - the "I tried blasting these squid" line leaves me thinking "when?" - she leaves e ship with you, then goes right back inside again. It'd be a shame if they got it into an otherwise great state, but small things like that let it down. I'm really looking forward to more high quality vr content though. So my fingers are crossed for this one
Oh I can clarify some of that :) It's just like a demo to show the game so things won't be the same as in the real game, for example the ship at the end where I shoot the bugs, iv seen clips of it from the devs website and promotional material of it as a busy cargo area with many NPCS. Everything here is just to show off as many mechanics and stuff as possible, it dosnt always makes sense but it's just for show I think that's why it's not avaliable for everyone to play. It feels great to play for real it's really nice and swimming feels real realistic and natural, if they keep it up it's a real contender for top top tier VR witch I agree with you on I am always waiting for :)
I would say so, they never said those words specifically but that's the impression I get for sure. They sent me a full document full of lore so fingers crossed this is a new I.P that can continue on for multiple games
It is IK tracking! There's a body and legs to go with those arms :) It's not full full IK tracking as legs don't move as yours do yet but it's no different than Contractors or others full IK tracking 😀
Unfortunately like I say in the video it's a closed demo that isn't avaliable for everyone to play. I had to go speak to the devs myself to get access, I think they will release a public demo next year 😀👍
I don't really know what to say about this lol it's beautiful and I'm very intrigued by the little bit they shown. It's amazing how soon they want to release it too, a lot of games coming up are set for 2023 or very late into 2022 at the earliest. And they don't look even a quarter as amazing as this game.
Right!? Its kind of just appeared out of nowhere and looks like it's timing things just right considering alot if coming in 2023 , also just typing 2023 freaks me out lol
I am a developer and I can only say; It's entirely caused by poor optimization from developers when a game runs poorly. There are countless of methods to increase performance and use high fidelity on mobile headsets. On a PC it gets even worse, where people are used to throw hardware on a software problem. The comparison you make is an excellent example of people using hardware correctly. One of my passions is optimization and it hurts my eyes seeing bad code. 🤣 I think that there will be a shift soon though, where we'll get more bang for our hardware (again). 🤘

It's great to have some insite from someone who know the work on a dev level :) I hope this video didn't hurt your coding eyes 😂 I think your right and that shift will start slow with games like Hubris but it will raise the bar for VR just like HLF did and slowly but surely a shift into properly using hardware and software together to give us the biggest 'wow' moments in VR 😀

Couldn't agree more, a game can look great and have really interesting mechanics but if it dosnt play well or is optimised poorly it will just flop because why would you come back?
No need to be afraid, a tip I always remember is if VR is getting a bit freaky just look down towards your mouth oland you'll see the gap in your headset by your nose and see the real world 😂 This game makes being underwater fun! 😀
STOP putting background music to videos with *narration* .. it ONLY makes it HARDER to hear what you are saying and is VERY distracting ... EVERYONE STOP DOING THIS.. we are NOT here to listen to music !!
I totally understand and I'm still trying out the best audio levels right now but the majority of people don't want a silent video of me just talking....including me 😂 The music helps set a theme and a pace for a video it has alot of functions other than just being there.
Well I appreciate that I'm trying to make it backing not foreground but I do understand your gripe with it but sometimes you have to do what everyone else is doing for people to give you a chance, like a streamer without a multicoloured room full of RGB lights, they are silly but if people don't have them the majority don't class them as 'proper'
I'm really glad to hear you say you're running this on your 1060. The minimum specs are for a 1080, and I have a 1070.
