They are manipulative instruments for restorative materials as well. Ash 6: is a plastic filling instrument (the margin of its working end is not sharp) for placing and shaping the composite material, GIC, and temporary restorative materials. Ash 49: is an instrument with cylindrical nibs and rounded ends. It is similar to a ladmore burnisher or a small smooth condenser. It is used for material manipulation as material packing and adaptation.
@@drafnanoalzain thanks a lot! I didn’t find any article uses the term “ask” only in Arabic or Indian origin articles, so is it possible that both (ash6, ash49) are called pfi without any specific name/numbers to distinguish them? Or do they have other names?
@@dent0osh Yes, I didn’t find also in the book references to those specific terms. So probably they are just variations of instruments. In some I found they named ash 6-49 and considered it one instrument. Different companies may name their instruments a little differently. The most important thing that you know from it’s shape that it is a manipulation instrument and how can you use it. Good luck!
