Flammable from the chapterhouse and kindle flame stacks, and both apply to ALL damage, including charge and collision dmg. Combine that with charge and speed bonuses and you can get charges that one shot infantry. Its just so beautiful it makes me wanna cry
I didn't actually know to say it would apply to collision damage. Charge, yes. It's great to see Empire cavalry able to hit its stride when you have all the proper (and costly, and hard to get, so well balanced) buildings for the purpose.
@@sherkhead9638 if its a different effect with its individual id it stacks, otherwise it does not. for example regeneration and kindleflame can stack, 2 kindleflames cannot. flammable and kindleflame stacks, 2 flammable's dont
@@sherkhead9638 Usually traits stack, identical active or passive abilities don't i.e. two Gorebulls with the attack boost, won't stack, 1 Gorebull with attack, 1 gorebull with defense boost = they stack. It's a good rule of thumb.
I must say that I had no idea that their attacks got stronger with kindleflame since I always expected that it was only for magic, nice to know that now
Finally, they're more available. FINALLY. I love these guys. They really do double down on what the base Empire Cavalry (save the Knights of the Black Rose) focus on doing: Shock Cav. I've considered what having them paired with Knights of the Black Rose could do. Pin something down with the KotBR and then cycle charge with KotBS. They're squishy though, poor dears. I just don't care for Demigryphs, personally. They're just not as fun as the Knights.
Demis have too low mass so they often have models stuck on cycle charges. This is more devastating with 32 models. Also the ai consider them a bakery high threat unit so they will be pursued for the entire game. Extremely annoying
@@spanner5940 Absolutely good points. I just don't like em... and they don't really use their halberds or whatever in terms of animation. It's a bit sad.
It's insane that these guys can get a 40% damage bonus and 100+ charge bonus. I love their concept of pure shock cavalry ! It's ironic that they didn't get Devastating Flanker- it seems that they are the perfect unit for this trait. I usually like balanced unit, but I will make an exception for these guys 😮
Can't wait to see what you have to say abou the Reiksguard and them now getting Devastating flanker from Altdorf. In my first campaign in patch 5.0 I got the rampager standard and put it on a unit of Reiksguard in Franz's army. If I remember correctly, it had over 120 charge bonus and, when flanking, that would go up to 250! I laughed my ass off after hitting a moving unit of chaos chosen and watching them go flying. It was beautifull
Yeah, I have nothing but good to say about Devastating Flanker generally and Reiksguard with it are quite a luxury, with Franz especially. Which is good, they need a reason to exist.
What is the role of Reiksguard now? They seem to be better as shock cav than KBS after getting Devastating Flanker. Shouldn't they be more of a generalist unit- decent as shock cav, but also ok in somewhat prolonged combat? Let me know what you think
I am absolutely appalled that these bastards get more charge bonus (base) than grail knights. It is a slight against the Lady and I shan't stand for it.
More akin to reiksguard with a heavy shock focus than empire knights, but I get what you are saying. I think I may give these guys a try now I don't get bent over a barrel without the chapter house. I've always gone reiksguard for the mostly lower cost and more generalist stats before moving to demis on my most elite armies. Could be interesting.
Sounds like you've played largely as I did. I'm looking forward to unleashing them at a half-reasonable price point. Even if it's just the one unit to run around...
Btw i know i was late to leave a comment but i just wanna say again thank you again for the video. Very informative and now i know how this units are supposed to be use. They're models and their weapons is honestly very awesome! I love it ❤ The other cavalry i'm also curious about is the "knights of everlasting lights" if they're worth getting. Once again thank you 🙂

I'm using Reshade with what was it.. some Matthew's Preset thing going? It's not that many things active at all. And yeah, was the result of a ton of tinkering before finding what worked for TH-cam purposes.
@@OffToBattle thank you! The reshade helped a lot! Do you remember the name of the skin mod you're using for the empire units? 🤔 Thanks for the reply BTW!
Not so great vid this, I’m watching you pull off a amazing cav charge, send the infantry in then whip around about to watch a epic rear charge, then boom the stat screen pops up 😂😂
- Aim to the head if they are infantry size and the ass y they are large size - blazing sun knight Sargeant
Hah. That's one approach.

It's for anything with Flaming Attacks. The reverse is true, fire resistant is a straight debuff to things with full-time Flaming.

Ironic, but they thought Reiksguard needed something, and Reiksguard were always very decent. I'll have a video on their new version sometime soon.

I'll get around to Bretonnia stuff in earnest sometime.. thanks for commenting!
Wait until you see what tier 3 gryphon legion do with their charge
Ah yes, Empire Knights But More, really empahsising the strengths of the regular knights, while also emphasising the weaknessess. very cool

Is it a mod that you use to see the hidden stats or it that just overlaid screenshots from a website?
Its a website
A site. Total War Warhammer Stats, just google it. They do fine work.
@OffToBattle Thanks all. I was hoping it was a mod for in game. I found a similar mod but it's not as clean looking imo.

The enemy doesn't always agree to let your anvil engage first, that's the thing.
@@OffToBattle my friend the pop up screen is the issue .
Looks good to me
@@neumann229 Well I'm always trying to get better with presentation. It's bad to get too satisfied. Thanks.
They combo nicely with Elspeths Black Roses. Engage with the Sword wielding Black Roses and then flow up with the Blazing Suns
It does sound like a wonderful combo, and since you can get them from the same building now, could really work out.
