A judge holds a shelter hearing the morning after a child or sibling group is removed. The case is reviewed by attorneys working with the Department of Children and Families, so one CPI does not make the decision to put allegations against parents in a dependency or ETPR petition. Leaving her card instead of seeing the parents/caregivers face-to-face suggests she was lazy and that she did NOT remove children who may have been endangered.

This is a pretty petty one though. CPS agents have done much worse, like completely fabricate reports to take well-cared for children from loving homes, and they’re never held accountable. CPS is the most corrupt agency in existence. FL throwing this one low-level criminal that they employed under the bus to “prove” they are doing something about corruption in the org is meaningless in the bigger picture.

@@rockstarofredondo I grew up in the foster care system. I was taken from my mother at a very young age. I am an Irish Traveler and was taken from my family for "vagrancy" because we lived in caravans/RVs before I got into good family I was placed in a foster home with severe abuse, neglect, and sexual abuse...made to sleep on the floor in the attic with 6 other girls...we ate day-old bread and PBJ's the foster parents kept a lock on the fridge and only cooked dinner for themselves...Doris Strickland and her husband were charged and convicted with neglect and abuse many years after but these CPS are given far too much power to tear families apart...then other times they leave kids in horrible abuse situations...it was obvious things were not right but the workers let it happen.
I see both sides...I think kids are taken away for petty uncalled-for reasons then other children are left to die... beaten to death when all someone had to do is show up and look at the kid

This hits home for me when the social worker took my foster child from me and returned him to his mother. The case was closed immediately and because she was my niece we had an agreement with her to pick him up every weekend. My husband would pick him up on Fridays and we would return the baby on Sunday. I get home on a Friday after work one day and my husband says look at the baby. I started to cry and said to him pack a bag we're going to the hospital. We didn't leave the hospital until 2:30 am. When we were allowed to leave a Social worker said to not return him to his mother. Well, she called the police on us and after showing proof from the court to the police they told us to call them if she tries to pick him up. We started the adoption process once they terminated her parental rights. My baby boy who is 24 and serving in the Army now is lucky to be alive. The bruises on his tiny face, crusted blood in his nostrils and ear was a blow that could have killed him. I commend the officers in charge of defending the innocents from broken families and negligent social workers who see their jobs only as a livelihood and not mission to truly care and save lives. Sorry for being long-winded. It breaks my heart every time a child is injured or loses his/her life because somebody didn't care enough.

That's a problem with children services they are so busy traumatizing and tearing up families where they aren't needed to pay any attention to those two children who truly do need them. But of course that's why they have qualified immunity so they can say oh it was an honest mistake blah blah blah and then they get away with it they can't be prosecuted for it. Makes me so freaking sick!!!

Thank God it all worked out for your family.
I know the system. No way would I call the police on a parent unless I was sure that child's life is in danger. CPS & family court in most states is so corrupt and inept that more often than not the kids are better off in the sucky situation than as wards of the state.
I have a very high standard for getting the government involved. Too many kids go missing or turn up dead once in their custody. FL is one of the worst states when it comes to the foster system.
In the best of situations kids are bounced around from foster home to parents to foster home... It's confusing & unsettling for them. CPS has a way of making a kid's life worse.
I won't even get into the trafficking part of it.

They regularly harass law abiding citizens, file bogus charges, and intimidate people based on a social credit system that they use to oppress their citizens based on an assumption that "someone" in the person's family "may" commit a future crime! If you've been in trouble with the law in the distant past, ^these guys will continuously harass you long after you've paid your debt to society!

After many mornings seeing my grandbabies walk in with massive bruises and lumps and my daughter being more interested in drinking and other things, cps called me and said, there was no alcohol in the house, so.....the kids are fine. Duh, they removed the substances because they called them first.
My oldest Grand wants to be hit by a bus and my smallest grand has lumps bumps and bite marks......they are not ok, but as a grandparent, I have no rights. I have no idea if my grands are ok or not because my daughter says I'll never see them again. It isn't right.

My late wife, was a Child Protection Attorney, in our local juvenile court, in a state in which malfeasance in the Department of Child and Family Services is legendary, at one point she was appointed to a case, in which the dcfs case worker, was notably absent, she wouldn't show up in court, she was never in the office, and she would never respond to phone calls or correspondence, and her supervisor, was at a loss to explain her actions. Well my wife's sideline, was Real Estate Law, one day at a closing, she discovered that the sellers Real Estate Agent, was no other than the recalcitrant dcfs case worker! After the closing, my wife button holed her, and demanded to know, why she wasn't handling, her court cases, the woman's excuse was, that funding at the state level, resulted in the department's being slow to pay its employee's " and something had to pay the bills" In short she was running a private enterprise, on state time. My wife took this to the judge, and the woman got quietly fired, but that was not the end of the matter, as the woman appealed her firing, my wife and I had to go all the way to the capitol, so she could testify at her hearing, ( she lost and stayed fired) the whole thing was a nightmare.

BS. They all do this kind of stuff. The only reason they arrested her was because she pissed off the wrong person and they threw her under the bus. Now arrest the rest of them.

    Officer, "oh did we"
WOOPS! It really is a sad day though when a person paid to protect Children is falsifying legal documents. Makes you think!

I think she was intent on getting kids out of suspected danger. She cut out any investigation and went straight to assuming guilt.
