i actually found the wii version of the controls to be my favorite, mostly because that's what i grew up with, but also i liked the ability to control olimar and the cursor seperately from each other, although the motion controls in the switch versuon are good for different reasons and the precision afforded to you makes it significantly better.
I really enjoy this port. The faster throw without having to C-Stick feels much more fluid. The crushing glitch and the counter desync glitch being gone is a game changer. I was able to get a 9 day run on only my second switch playthrough. My record had been 10 for years.
That being said i would take the right stick being the direct over it moving the camera. That way you wouldn't have to use the left bumper to direct and it could be used for switching pikmin to the left

Lost like 90 Pikmin trying to cross that river in Forest of Hope because my red and yellow ones kept diving in for some reason. Currently playing the Wii version since I got it on sale a while back, but GC, Wii or Switch, there’s no coming back from that. On day 7 and only have 4 parts. I think I’ll go back a few days now that I know what I’m up against and can plan accordingly.
Tons of great advice here, I bought the bundle a week ago and have always wanted too play this game cause I never actually owned it,so I'd love it if you made a video on Pikmin 2 as well!
Think I got the series over Christmas, big collector of physical copies. I started Pikmin 1, heard it was a RTS game. So I was excited, started playing last two nights, I needed this video. Thank you!
just tried pikmin for the first time and it took my expectations, molded it into a baseball, and threw it out of the park. i have officially fell in love with pikmin.
Hi hi. Cool video. Do you know why in the GC version that whistling yellow pikmin carrying bomb rocks will sometimes cause them to activate the rocks and sometimes not? Thanks!
Lol first time playing and I had to kill the pikmin final boss in 1 day because i was on day 30, well i uhh died a couple of times and had to restart the game because it would start the ending cutscene everytime. If only i hadn't spent 2 entire days fucking around trying to figure out how to get the three ship parts that need yellow pikmin, like why would they make such an elaborate stone structure just to have the solution be throw yellow guy instead of other ones??? Like i was legit trying to figure out ways to get out of bounds.

The crushing glitch is still in the switch port but its quite rare. So i wouldent worry about it

add dismissing and glitches
pikmin teleport glitch and mastering dismissing is very useful in the game
